A while back, I found a complete list of Geunseo's AMA on postype. Had a great time reading through, i learned so much more about this world and the characters and I thought I would try my hand at editing those for English.
But I am not feeling patient enough to wait so I thought it might be fun to post them one by one on tumblr as I get time before collecting the whole lot. So this is the blog for that.
Thank you so much to the original poster who put all the questions together in one place! Let's see how this goes.

Some notes below the cut
I will try to tag any spoiler questions from stuff beyond the translation with #sctir spoilers (Please let me know if I miss any, I will correct!)
I will generally skip questions not related to the story itself, for now. Might do these in a bunch later
In the original document, it seems often the same posted asked 2-3 questions in a single post, and then the author also replied to all the questions together. For ease of tagging (and my later compilation plans) I think I will keep it to 1 question a post.
I am also planning to add the original korean text under a Read More for each question, and I welcome any corrections or additions to nuance from others in case I miss something.
IDK yet if it will actually be a post a day (or more) (or less). We'll see how that goes.

This time a fan-made cover by s_class_potato that showcases a more complete cast list than the official cover. ↓↓↓↓
What's It About: It's about the Power of Love! And never giving up! And what does it mean to be a parent, a partners, a friend, a brother?
Fantastically detailed world-building and fantastically realistic and fleshed out cast of characters and a fantastically unhinged unreliable narrator of an MC.
It starts out looking like a standard male OP fantasy, but that is very much a fakeout, and it is very very much a subversion of that genre - something that has unfortunately earned this novel much ire in the Korean dude webnovel reader sphere of the internet.
It is also one of the best examples of "time travel fixit" as a canon premise that I have ever seen.
After his estranged little brother - Korea's top S-Sank Hunter Han Yoohyun - dies saving the life of the pathetic F-Rank Hunter Han Yoojin, Han Yoojin gets the opportunity to turn back time by 5 years and gain a new uber-powerful Skill that lets him 'nurture' S-Rank hunters to their full potentials - both humans and monsters.
Yoojin is determined to just chill and prove himself by supporting Yoohyun, but it's not so easy especially as he finds more and more people to love and care about. And also this one annoyingly fascinating and useful guy - the current #1 hunter Sung Hyunjae - who had disappeared from the public eye in mysterious circumstances before Yoojin turned back time - keeps finding him fascinating and useful too and won't leave him alone.
Webtoon Adaptation
Yes, there is a webtoon adaptation of it with an official English translation: My S-Class Hunters. There are 152 chapters in S1, which adapt roughly the first 160ish chapters of the novel, and the webtoon is currently on hiatus with work ongoing on S2.
The art is beautiful, and it is a very good work in its own right but it does adapt things more comedically than the novel. It makes for a pretty funny reading experience, but it leaves out enough of the (plot-relevant!) emotional bits as well as changes up certain plot points for better visuals that I would recommend reading (or at least skimming) from the start for anyone coming in from the webtoon.
Where to Read The Original
I.E. The novel in Korean: The complete story is 1165 Chapters
Main Story: 856 Chapters + 14 Epilogue Chapters (870 Chapters)
Side Story: 167 Chapters
Afterwords: 128 Chapters
These are now available on Naver, Ridibooks and Kakaopage.
Naver is horrendous to use internationally
Kakaopage is the easiest to use internationally IMO, and has a lot of freebies points. With enough grinding one can probably get all the webnovel chapters for free, while still showing support to Geunseo
Ridi is quite convenient too and often has sale events. Ridi is a more slash-friendly and female-reader friendly platform overall and has a more positive and shippier comment section I think.
However! Before you buy: One thing to note is that there are two versions of the text - a webnovel version and an ebook version. Yes, the text itself is different between the two.
Webnovel version: The ones that you can buy one-chapter-at-a-time and what you'll usually find on the 🏴☠️ sites. Side Story and After Words only exist as webnovel chapters as of April 2026.
Ebook version: The 870 chapters of the main novel are also available as 35-volume set of ebooks.
- Ebooks version has many added emotional beats and scenes (mostly of the homoerotic nature)
- Ebooks version also has many "extras" - additional chapters and short stories, often from the perspectives of characters other than Yoojin, that often add a lot of great characterisation and world-building information.
Apart from this there also exist some physical book sets but not in English - currently there is a Korean physical bookset of 10 volumes (with hopefully many more to come), and a Taiwanese bookset as well, and both these physical booksets have more unique "extras" in them as well.
If anyone decides to throw money at Geunseo for this, I would personally recommend going for the ebooks over the webnovel chapters.
Where to read the Translations!
1. SFS Translations (Chapters 1-460s)
- They use the ebook versions of the chapters.
- One needs to contact them for access to their locked/gdocs version (access can take a few days, but generally not more than 3-5 days)
- This is currently the most detailed and accurate translation, and the only one that includes the ebook extras, as far as I know.
2. Teleportal's MTL Epub: Main Novel (Ch 350-870) PDF and EPUB + Side Stories EPUB and PDF & After Words EPUB and PDF
- It uses webnovel chapters
- It is the only version for the Side Stories and After Words available in English
- While it is MTL, it is IMO one of the best MTL translations I have seen till date and very readable and understandable, and personally I would recommend it over the other edited MTL translations such as Mattreading and Freewebnovel.
3. MattReading Translations (Chapters 1-760s)
- This uses the webnovel chapters, and the earlier chapters use an older unedited versions of the webnovel chapters.
- This is on Wordpress, with last 20 chapters Patreon-locked
- The main/current translation linked on NovelUpdates.
- They are upto Ch 760+ as of April 2026, but (this is my speculation) are primarily edited MTL using the opennovel engine as far as I can tell. Pretty readable in terms of natural-sounding English, however later chapters get into some pronoun trouble and also character mixups last I checked.
4. FreeWebnovel (Chapters 1-782)
- MTL of webnovel chapters and early unedited raws
- I think this is the version one will find in epub/PDF files of early chapters if one goes looking on the usual epub sites
- There is apparently a site called empirenovel too, but it's just this version copied there.
Other than the story itself, the author has also done extensive Q&As, which detail out a ton of worldbuilding and characterization notes and @a-sctir-a-day has been doing MTL translations of the Q&As.
Q. What characteristic or aspect of Yerim is it that manifested as her initial optimized skill, "White Corpse"?
It was Bak Yerim’s innate attribute of holding on to memories of the past, where her deceased parents were present, rather than living fully in the present, due to her situation.
The Bak Yerim from before the regression had been a bit older when she awakened and had already resolved to stand on her own before that, so she did not possess skills similar to "White Corpse."

Q. How freely can Yerim move within Earth's marine environments? Is she able to endure the water pressure and act even at the deepest part of the Earth's oceans, about 11km deep?
It is possible, but because the mana consumption would be huge, so if she stays there for a long time, it could become dangerous. Once she grows even more, it is possible she will be able to assimilate or blend with water itself, which will allow her to act without any restrictions at all. ^^
Note: The deepest known seafloor depth is the Challenger Deep in the Mariana Trench, located in the western Pacific Ocean. Its maximum depth is roughly 10,920 to 11,034 meters (35,827 to 36,201 feet) below sea level.
Q. 예림이는 지구 해양환경에서 얼마나 자유롭게 활동할 수 있는 건가요? 심해 11km 지구해양 최심부 정도 수압까지도 견디고 활동 가능한가요?

Q. Did Yerim dream of becoming a Hunter even before she actually awakened and became a Hunter, or did she used to have a different dream or goal for the future?
A significant number of young people and adolescents want to become A-Rank or higher Awakened individuals. ^^
Whenever Bak Yerim talked about Hunter-related stories with her friends, she also used to say things like, "I want to awaken and become independent~". However, since actually becoming an A-Rank or higher Hunter is about the same as winning the lottery in terms of likelihood, realistically it wasn't a serious career goal for her.
For Bak Yerim, rather than focussing on career goals, her situation was such that her priority was simply figuring out how she could escape from her home.
Q. 예림이는 각성해서 헌터가 되기 전부터도 헌터가 되고 싶어했나요, 다른 장래희망이 있었나요?

Q. Is Yerim really going to major in architecture in college?
It is highly likely she will go into architecture or a physics-related field. However, there's no way to know whether she will attend classes diligently. Compared to most typical S-rank hunters, she is becoming stronger and faster more quickly, so as a reaction to that, there is a possibility she might be lazy and neglect the theoretical side of things.

Q. What kind of people are the family members who reportedly scolded Yoon-Yoon, early in the novel?
They are an elderly couple who lived near the watermill.^^
At first, they just thought Yoon-Yoon was a mentally immature* person. After realizing he was an "Awakened," they asked for advice from their granddaughter, who knows a lot about hunters.
The elderly couple are the ones who taught Yoon-Yoon general common sense about the world, while the person who teaches him and gives him advice about hunter-related things is the granddaughter.
Note: 정신적으로 미숙한 (jeongsinjeogeuro misukhan) translates literally to "mentally immature" or "mentally underdeveloped." It can have the meaning of someone just being childish or immature or lacking common-sense; but it can also imply developmental delays or intellectual disability.
Q. 초반에 윤윤을 혼냈다던 가족들은 어떤 사람들인가요?

Every time now there's a character birthday, I try to find Q&A specific to them to share, but I don't think any character has managed to have as many details about them in the Q&As as SHJ. (Except Yoojin, of course)
Geunseo truly set out to try demystifying this man in the extra-canonical material.
Q. If it wasn't for his public image, would Sung Hyunje still prefer suits and formal wear? Does he have a color preference, when it comes to clothes?
Rather than saying that he has a preference for a specific style of clothing, it would be more accurate to say that he mainly dresses in a way that is suitable to the image he intends to project. As the Sesung Guild Leader, since formal suits are useful for establishing his position and growing the guild, he wears them often.
He will wear whatever, without any issues, if it is for the sake of achieving something that he wants ^^
Because he believes he can pull off any outfit, no matter what he wears, there isn't really anything or any color he's particularly picky about.
Q. 성현제는 대외적 이미지 때문이 아니더라도 정장을 선호하는 편인가요? 선호하는 옷 색깔은?

특별히 어떤 옷을 선호 한다기 보단 자신이 내보이고자 하는 이미지에 걸맞은 차림을 주로 합니다. 세성 길드장으로서 자리 잡고 길드를 키워가는 것에는 정장이 유용하기에 주로 입습니다. 자신이 하고자하는 목적을 위해서라면 어떤 옷이든 아무렇지 않게 입어요^^ 스스로 어떤 옷이든 소화해낼 수 있다고 생각하기에 특별히 선호하거나 가리는 것은 없습니다.

He was quite popular both before and after his awakening, but as mentioned in the previous answer, he drew a firm line and and maintained his distance.
When he went overseas for matters involving Sung Hyunje, he frequently received not only confessions but also gifts such as flowers bouquets ^^

Q. Will Noah continue to remain affiliated with Dodam?
Noah will stay involved with Dodam, though with the Building not the Breeding Facility and establish it as a distinct force of its own. It includes a blacksmith's shop, a dungeon research institute as well as a place for information exchange under the guise of a café, you see.
Han Yoojin was also planning to separate the Building and the Breeding Facility, which is why he entrusted it to Noah.

Q. Why is the color of Noah's harness different between the description in the story and the illustration?
Noah's harness is an item made by Yoo Myungwoo, but it is a consumable item with no grade of its own. It was just not explicitly stated in the story, but it was often damaged like other consumable items such as strong wires or ropes, or clothes made from dungeon materials which are not quite equipment. Because of this, Yoo Myungwoo made new ones and also added improvements. Noah's inventory usually has more than two at a time, including spares. ^^
In addition, just as Park Yerim dyed her shawl, it is possible to change the color of equipment. However, depending on the material, the higher the grade, the harder it is to dye. Park Yerim's shawl is on the easier side to dye compared to its grade. Noah's harness, of course, can also be dyed.
Note: If anyone recalls which chapters respectively in webnovel and webtoon the harness description vs illustration is, I'll be happy to add the relevant bits of info to this for complete info!

노아의 하네스는 유명우가 만든 아이템이지만 등급 자체는 따로 없는 소모품입니다. 작중에서 표현 되지 않았을 뿐 다른 와이어나 밧줄 등 소모성 강한 아이템이나 던전산 재료로 만들었지만 장비까진 아닌 옷 등 처럼 종종 손상 되었습니다. 때문에 유명우가 새로 만들기도 하고 개량을 더하기도 했습니다. 노아의 인벤토리에는 예비용까지 포함 둘 이상 들어가 있어요^^
덧붙여 박예림이 숄을 염색했듯이 장비는 색상 변경이 가능합니다. 다만 재질에 따라, 등급이 높을 수록 염색 하기가 힘들며 박예림의 숄은 등급 대비 염색이 쉬운 편입니다. 노아의 하네스도 물론 염색이 가능합니다.
Q. I'm curious about the anecdote where Noah cried, saying he couldn't eat the food Liette made. Is there any chance that story is planned to appear later?
As of now, no. Noah endured it (Liette's cooking) quite desperately, and for a long, long time before that incident.
Note: If anyone remembers exactly where the incident being referred to is mentioned, please let me know! I can't find/remember.

Noah awakened together with Liette during a Dungeon Break.
Immediately after awakening, he sensed the more intense and much stronger aura of his natural born S-rank older sister and completely froze in fear, almost getting devoured by a monster.
Liette's harsh training of Noah was somewhat due to the influence of that time as well ^^
