Belphegor always says that he loves when you wake him up.

And yet, on certain mornings, he wakes up with an awful scowl. He glares at you like he's trying to curse your entire bloodline before he rolls his eyes, as though he can't believe the sheer audacity of somebody making sure he gets up for breakfast.

His eyebrows point downwards so severely that there are deep wrinkles in the center of his forehead. His nose scrunches up like he's just smelled an old fermented shark. His mouth is a dour frown, and if he's not fully wrapped up in a cocoon of blankets then you can typically see his mouth contort into a ferocious snarl. His upper lip curls, revealing sharp teeth that would send any weak-willed individual running.

You swear he's literally growled at you a few times. Nobody wants to deal with an unhappy demon, yet you're stuck shaking Belphegor's shoulder and poking him in the side until he either drags himself out of bed or he drags you into the bed. Whichever happens first.

Obey Me! Brothers With A Mc Thats Attracted To A Fictional Character

I lowkey felt like I repeatedly used the word 'favourite character', so I'll use f/c(favourite character) more.

Also read part 1 if u haven’t!

Lucifer:

Thinks its a waste of your time to put all your attention on a character rather then your work or studies.

Definitely doesn’t feel like his sense of pride is being threatened the more you ramble about something that isn’t real when you literally have the first avatar of devildom in front of you. Obviously hides his dismay behind his poker face, but you catch on and tease him about it, asking him if he feels threatened by something that isn’t real, then he’ll finally voice his concerns.

If word of your obsession towards a character gets out to his brothers, he won’t hear the end of it.. and if word spreads to diavolo, he fears his pride will combust.

Will be more attentive to you since you’ve told him about your attraction to your f/c. Gets his paperwork done faster so he can take you out on dates. Also takes you to his room where you both cuddle on his bed, his arms wrapped around you with your body sprawled on top of his.

While you both are cuddling, he asks questions about your f/c. What type of personality do they have? What have they accomplished? What do you find so charming about this character that you have to rant about it to him? When you finally tell him it’s because your f/c is similar to him, then he gets smug. Instead of replying, he puts his hands on your hips and nips at the crook of your neck.

The brothers did not see you and lucifer for the rest of the night.. (maybe invest in a wheelchair?)

Mammon:

Gets jealous immediately, why are you giving so much attention to something that isn't real?? He's your first and last, (romantically speaking,) so don't expect him to go sharing you with other people.

He's more clingy when he notices you spending too much time on your phone/book, squeeling and giggling like a schoolgirl.

Would 100% get the latest and most expensive merchandise for you! (With the help of leviathan. of course...)

Doesn't admit it, but he loves seeing you gush and rant about your obsession with this character, if you ask him about it, he'll obviously say no!

Let's out the biggest sigh of relief when he notices the similarities between this character and him, of course you'll feel attracted to them! They remind you of him! Obviously he knew that from the start.. (no h didn't.)

(Still gets jealous of the character, but won't confess that to anyone.)

Leviathan:

Doesn’t judge at all, he’s been there! But he’s not called the avatar of envy for nothing.. why would you pay more attention to that character than him?

When you first told him about your attraction to this character, Levi thought it wasn’t bad, in fact he thought it was cute! But then you started to get more and more attached to the character, the more you talked about them, the more envious he felt. What does this character have that he doesn’t?

Would beat himself up about it until you tell him that you’re attracted to the character because when you see them you think of him, then he stops sulking and gets embarrassed.

Like Diavolo, he would go out of his way to get you merchandise of this character, even going as far as to getting the manga/figures he got you signed by the author/voice actor.

Afraid you’ll leave him over some writing/pixels, please reassure him every third day that you wont(can’t) leave him for a piece of fiction!

Satan:

The moment he hears the faintest of squealing coming from your room, he drops his book and rushes straight to your room and nearly breaks the door down as he’s opening it, afraid something bad might’ve happened. Only to see you hunched over your book/DDD, a faint blush on your cheeks as you look at him surprised that he slammed your door open. Apologizes instantly and asks about what you’re reading.

After you tell him about the show/game your favourite character is from, you tell him about how attractive your fave character is. He gave you a smile that didn’t quite reach his eyes before he asks you questions. What’s so attractive about the character? Does the character have the same intelligence he does? What makes them so much more special than him?

He gets a little annoyed, only because he thought he already gave you everything you wanted and more. But as soon as you describe how the character acts and what they look like, he realizes that him and this character have a lot in common, and immediately catches on. Now he understands why you feel so attracted to that character, it’s because they remind you of him.

Since you've told him that, he goes out of his way to read as much romance books as he can, and imagines the love interest as you. Understands why you find your favorite character so attractive now.

Both of you are cuddling in his bed, ranting about your f/c’s, moments like these remind him that he can indeed still feel stuff other than wrath.. (won’t admit it, but he’s happy you had an attraction to your f/c, or else this opportunity to understand you better wouldn’t have happened.)

Asmodeus:

Are you telling him he lost your affection to a clump of pixels/writing?! That won’t do! Immediately pulls you away to do something else, want to get your nails done? Go shopping? Go to a spa? No? He doesn’t care! He’ll pull you away from your book/phone anyway!

When you gush about how attractive this character is, he’ll ask for a photo and if you give it to him, then he’ll compare the picture to his face and point out the imperfections. Why would you need this character when you have perfection in the flesh in front of you?

After a while of all his pampering, you'll start to (hopefully) ramble less about your f/c, which makes him so relieved, no way he was going to let something that isn’t real steal his darling from him.

When you go back to your obsession with your f/c after his attempts to distract you from them, then he’ll get pouty. Forcing you to bathe with him and when you do, he’ll finally confess his feelings about how he’s never felt so humiliated until you’ve been obsessed with something that isn’t real.

After you guys are done bathing, he starts getting touchy with you, trying to his best to keep your mind off of your f/c. His hands slip between your thighs and he kisses over the small moles/freckles over your skin.

(I’ll leave the rest to ur imagination yay)

Beelzebub:

Doesn't really understand, but will support you! Whether it be getting you the newest game/book/anime or even food with your characters face on it.

Frowns if you talk about your f/c more than him, he knows they're not real, and that you can't leave him for them, but what if one day you decide to leave him for a guy that's similar to your f/c?

Ever since he's thought about that, hes been trying his best to impress you, and flirt with you more. (Even if his flirting attempts are horrible and awkward...)

Ultimately, he’s alright with it! Just obsess over him the same way you obsess over your f/c.

Belphegor:

Doesn’t really care. Everyone has something that they’re obsessed with. He just finds it a little weird you obsess over a character when you have a boyfriend that can do everything they can do, and more.

Likes listening to you ramble about your f/c when he’s about to go to bed, just listening to you so excited and cheered makes him feel at ease, sure it’s not directed to him, but it’s not like you’ll leave him for a book/game/anime.

You notice that you’ve been having more dreams about your f/c when you sleep near belphie, when you tell him about this, he teases you for thinking about your f/c all the time. What you don’t know is that he purposely gives you these dreams so he can see you in a good mood in the morning, and to see your flustered face when you wake up.

Overall, doesn’t care, and is more than willing to give into your delusions. It’s not like you can leave him for a clump of fiction. (As if he’ll even let you..)

Summary: AU where it's you who gets locked up by a demon with a more or less unique interest in humans, at least in this particular one. I think he liiikes youuu

You never knew how fascinating you were.

You still don't know, do you?

However long it's been since you've walked into this trap, it feels longer than that, closer to a lifetime or two. At this point you might even be able to convince yourself that it's comfortable living like this, in a familiar cage filled with warm blankets.

Really, what more could you want?

He had approached you in your own world—"human world", apparently—after a particularly stressful day, one of those that made life itself feel like too much to bear.

When he came up to you, he seemed so kind with those worried, sympathetic eyes and that soft voice, you couldn't help but confide in this stranger about all that dragged you down, about how you felt like you were never enough in the eyes of society, about how you wish you could spend your life bearing no more of those heavy responsibilities.

Or at least, you'd like an extended vacation.

And he would hang onto every word. When you hung your head with a sigh, about to apologize for your impromptu rant, he would lean closer and whisper to you.

"I'm not really supposed to do this... But I think I can help you."

And that's how you ended up falling for a demon's promises.

Of course you were impressed by every little thing in this entirely new world he brought you to, even as he kindly explained things along the way and patiently answered your questions. Your curiosity didn't let up when you reached what looked like a gothic manor straight out of a movie, but your guide was determined to lead you right up a winding staircase.

"The others won't bother us up there, trust me."

Since that time, you've been spending every night there. Every day too. It was hard to tell when another night ended and day began, the only indication being the sporadic sounds that managed to reach you; footsteps that echoed loud enough for you to notice, raging voices booming through the halls.

And his voice, soothing as ever.

Right by the door, when you expected it and when you didn't.

Belphegor would take care of you, not yet like a pet, moreso an experiment. He would bring you food, always too little at first. And not much would change the few times you tried to ask for more.

"Well, I dunno how much humans need. Maybe I'll give you more next time." He shrugged dismissively and instead of leaving you be he always stayed to see you eat... try to eat new, unfamiliar dishes.

Over time you've come to expect at least two meals a day—bigger portions, some of it food that you, miraculously, actually took a liking to. He still hovered over you similar to a mother watching her toddler try to eat on their own, but with time it became easier to not mind this presence as much. Eyes boring into you became half lidded, passively observing.

He came to sleep in the same room more often too. The first time you watched him close the door behind himself and approach you was terrifying, all but frozen in place you prayed to any god that might still hear you.

But he walked right past you, bundled up some blankets and seemed to fall asleep instantly. Still you watched with a heart pounding louder than you dared to breathe. Until a muffled voice came: "Stop staring, it's distracting... 'm not gonna kill you."

That's when you first noticed how tired you yourself had gotten. Whenever Belphegor was around, quietly resting in the same room, it became so much easier to fall asleep yourself. Even when he came closer, even with his breath puffing against your face, even with his arms around you or hands wandering.

It took some time before you gathered enough courage to ask as cautiously as one could about maybe, just for a day, being let out of this dark attic.

"A human roaming free in the Devildom? Yeah, I don't think so. You'll get eaten before you can come back."

You didn't ask any further questions.

Some days he brought another person with him when he checked on you. Unfamiliar faces, none of which seemed too impressed with you.

"Eh... I don't get it, what's so special 'bout this one? Ain't it just a boring human?"

"Poor thing looks scared, doesn't it? Aw, I do love that look though!"

"...just don't let this cause trouble for Diavolo."

But Belphegor didn't mind, he saw something more in you. Something that made him smile so sweetly as he studied your face and all your nervous expressions. Something that made him want to keep you close and learn every last detail about you, especially ones you'd rather keep hidden.

That something could be quite unnerving.

drinking coffee and hating belphie this morning

Lucifer stared at the small piece of paper in front of him in disbelief. He had gone to the kitchen for a cup of coffee; something to keep him awake through the piles of paperwork waiting for him in his office. He hadn’t been able to get hardly a page signed all day, due to… unfortunate circumstances. Now, as he opened the cabinet door, he found the source of his strife staring back at him. The paper was bright pink, folded into the shape of a small star, and the 458th one he’d found that day.

His sigh was heavy, rattling deep in his chest as he grabbed the bit of paper and put it in his coat pocket, joining four other brightly colored stars he had found on his walk to the kitchen.

You had been sitting with his brothers in your room for hours each day for a week, presumably creating these wretched things. Lucifer was happy you were spending time with his brothers, even happier you had found a hobby to keep you busy as you adjusted to Devildom life. He was not very happy that said hobby involved him cleaning up little bits of paper every second of the day. He wasn’t even sure how his housemates had been able to scatter them so efficiently, seeing as he had yet to catch one of you in the act.

As the coffee brewed, he mulled around the kitchen on the hunt for more stars. He found the 459th (neon green) balanced on a pipe under the sink, and the 460th (his shade of blue) was against the wall on top of the highest cabinet - courtesy of Beel, no doubt.

Lucifer’s pocket was starting to bulge out by the time he added the 461st to his collection. He dumped them onto the counter next to his mug, the pile of eight resembling those too sweet human-world cereals you’d forced him to try.

He should’ve been angry - irritated at best - that you were practically littering all around his house, but as he poured himself a cup of coffee he found it hard to be mad. Not when the sound of your laughter was floating so clearly through the halls. Judging by the other voices, Satan or Asmo had said something to make you laugh. Despite himself, Lucifer found a smile forming on his face as he picked up star number 462 off the kitchen door frame.

The stars themselves varied in quality - he knew the ones with crisp edges and perfect folds came from you, while the small handful he found half-crushed clearly came from Mammon. You had been putting his brothers to work, and while he would have preferred the efforts to go to chores, he couldn’t help but appreciate all you’d done.

Lucifer gathered up his growing pile of treasure and his mug before heading upstairs, the sound of yours and his brother’s voices growing louder with every step. Along the way, he found several more - two green ones tucked into the banister, one (pale yellow) on top of a picture frame, and another pink one taped to the ceiling being a few. By the time he reached your door, his collection had reached 471.

The sound of laughter spilled out from behind the door - your voice mixed with Mammon’s loud boasting, Levi’s quieter commentary, and Beel’s occasional happy hum. Lucifer paused, listening. It had been a long time since the house sounded this… alive. Not just noisy. Warm.

He knocked once, sharply.

The laughter cut off. A beat of silence, then Asmo’s sing-song voice, “Come iiin~”

Lucifer pushed the door open.

The scene that greeted him was pure chaos in the best possible way. You were sitting cross-legged on the floor, surrounded by colorful paper squares. Levi was demonstrating a particularly complex fold with intense focus, while Mammon kept trying to steal your half-finished stars to “improve” them (mostly by adding tiny doodles of himself). Beel was carefully eating snacks with one hand and folding with the other, somehow managing not to get crumbs on anything. Satan lounged nearby with a book, occasionally offering sarcastic suggestions. Asmo was folding the hot pink paper, placing his creations on Belphie's sleeping form.

Every surface had at least one completed star on it. Lucifer cleared his throat. All eyes turned to him.

You looked up with an expression that was equal parts guilty and delighted, “Hi, Lucifer.”

He reached into his coat and pulled out the entire handful of stars, letting them cascade onto the floor in front of you like multicolored confetti, “I believe these belong to you.”

Mammon immediately tried to play innocent, “Whoa, those are crazy! Where’d ya find ‘em, Lucifer?”

Lucifer gave him a flat look, “That’s 14 of 400, Mammon.”

The demon in question shrank back.

You bit your lip to hide a smile, “Sorry. We got a little carried away.”

“A little?” Lucifer arched an eyebrow, but there was no real heat in it. He crouched down, picking up one of the stars - deep red this time - and turned it over in his fingers, “You’ve been turning my house into a nesting ground for paper birds. I found one in my coffee mug this morning.”

Beel looked vaguely proud, “That one was mine.”

Lucifer exhaled through his nose, but the sound was closer to a laugh than a sigh. He sat down properly on the edge of the rug and began folding one of the spare sheets of paper with practiced precision. The room went quiet for a moment as everyone watched the terrifying eldest brother create a perfect, crisp star in under thirty seconds.

He set it in your palm.

“There,” he said, voice softening just a touch, “If you’re going to fill the house with these, at least make sure they’re properly made. I won’t have substandard stars representing the House of Lamentation.”

Your face lit up. The others burst into cheers, the energy in the room bouncing right back up.

For the next hour, Lucifer stayed. He drank his coffee, corrected Mammon’s sloppy technique with long-suffering patience, and quietly made sure you had the best paper and sharpest folds. Every now and then he’d find a new hiding spot suggestion from one of his brothers and pretend not to hear it, even as the corner of his mouth twitched upward.

By the time he finally stood to leave, the pile of finished stars had doubled. He paused at the door and looked back at all of you - his chaotic, ridiculous family.

“Try not to turn the entire Devildom into your craft project,” he said dryly. Then, quieter, almost to himself, “It’s… good to hear you all laughing.”

He closed the door behind him, but not before a bright yellow star landed perfectly on his shoulder.
