You know, I thought Ingrid's "favor" of a giant axe was poorly chosen for Julien, but realistically, he seems to really like his rapier; it's got sentimental value (the tooth from his first melee), and now he's got his dad's sword as well. He's not really in the market for a new weapon.

But Mr. Gotta-Protect-These-People-Who-I-Definitely-Don't-Care-About does seem happy to lend the axe to people who can wield it effectively, so maybe it was actually a remarkably well-chosen favor.

Alternately I would also love to see Ingrid witness Azune weild the giant axe and be like "nevermind I want that one"

We know Brennan is takeing point on what demons are like based on how Whitney plays Tyranny.

I'd be willing to bet that extends to others in the characters and their family/community as well (Julian and his mother are quite similar, the other druids likely draw from Taisha's calm and open vibe).

You know who's a lot like Kattigan? Fucking King Gus. You know what last name sounds a lot like a bastardized version of Valian? Vale.

The fucking IDEAL: Prince and the Pauper scenario where Kattigan was the kennelmaster’s real son and they grew up as brothers and then went to fight on different fronts in the War of Axe and Vine, and Kattigan running away from the Falconer’s Rebellion was actually one of MANY times that he’s completely run away from family and friends rather than comply with expectations he doesn’t want. (IE, he also ran away from his brother the King and his wife Mara.)

EVEN MORE CRACK THEORY:

Wulfric is actually one of the Hounds of the King, he’s just one who is so traumatized that he’s non-verbal or otherwise unable to speak for some reason. Like he’s a whole ass person and travel companion, not just a wolf. Two flavors: Kattigan knows he’s a person but won’t put his secrets to other people; Gus sent him to Kattigan in order to check up on his brother and Kattigan has no idea he can talk.

Shout out to Marisha's willingness to not only eat a critical failure but to let it impact her character and story SO dramatically. Murray genuinely believes that the dean has betrayed her, Marissa knows this isn't true but let's that belief drive her character for the rest of the episode and honestly that takes so much self awareness and guts as a player.
