3 hot tips for participating in fandom:

1. Just do it. Scream into the void and the void will scream back. Someone else out there is just as weird and obsessed as you.

2. Curate your experience. If you don’t like something, leave it alone. Exit the page. Hit the back button. Block liberally.

3. Relax. There won’t be a test, I promise. There is no wrong way to be a fan, and you don’t need to justify your interests/kinks/squicks to anyone.

I’d add that, if you haven’t declared, it’s smarter and more affordable to do your undergrad at a community college, because ultimately only the credits matter, not where they came from.

And don’t let anyone tell you that community college is “less than” university or whatever. It’s just a different option for continuing your education after high school than spending a shitload of money on a university.
