I've talked a lot about how the phrase "Biblically Accurate Angels" is offensive and inaccurate, because it's a corruption of Jewish ideas about angels.

But a lot of you may be wondering, "well, what *are* Jewish angels anyway?"

i’m so confused abt how these things are connected, is the issue with the word “biblically” since what ppl are referring to is a concept of angels that’s described in specific midrash (like how new age white girls obsess over Lilith)? like would it be better for people to say “accurate angels”

The issue is both "biblically" and "accurate". The really 'outlandish' depictions of angels in the Tanakh come mainly from prophetic trances, which many Jewish scholars agree is similar to a fever dream or hallucination. So the angels depicted in this way are extreme and incomprehensible precisely because they're the product of a prophetic trance. Jewish angels would never look this way to the layperson. So the word "accurate" is just....wrong in this situation. Angels can be neither accurate not inaccurate, they cannot be understood or comprehended by humankind, and even seeing them at their full potential requires a deep prophetic trance-state.

As for "Biblically", the issue is that people commonly associate the word "Biblically" with Christianity, which of course is ignoring the fact that these depictions of angels were brought on by Jewish texts first, not Christian texts.

Honestly when describing the appearance of angel classes, the Chayot and Ophanim and Cherubim and Seraphim, I suggest using the term "Ezekielian Angels" instead of "Biblically Accurate Angels", since these depictions first appear in the Book of Ezekiel.
