12 months and 1,160k later

Some of you may already know, I've spent the last 4 1/2 years trying to achieve the same writing goal of reaching 1 million words worth of content in the span of 12 months, but due to various problems that sprouted up in my life, (medical mostly that hindered my ability to work for long), I was not able to achieve it. I am so proud and ecstatic to share with you all that I've finally managed to accomplish that goal.  Even more so to say, that it was with the Avatar the Last Airbender fandom that I was able to do this. 

I, of course have my readers to thank for their love and support through it all. I've met a lot of fantastic people in this fandom and it's been an incredible experience full of a lot of other firsts for me as well. Thank you all so so much. ^.^ This fandom means a lot to me, and I look forward to another great year of content! (A special credit thanks to my beautiful wife @noxgold​ for handling the spreadsheet and keeping track of all of this for me month to month, and chasing me down with the threat of fruit roll ups to convince me to keep writing. ♡♡♡)

Oddly enough, I realized the timing was also perfect for landing just a couple days before my birthday. Not my intention, but happy coincidences for double the celebration.

They had Umbrella on the run with every new facility they investigated and took apart, piece by terrible piece, until there was nothing left to fuel their efforts. For a time, it had felt like they were winning, but Chris knew better. He knew to be wary of easy victories and this was feeling too much like an easy end finally in sight.

He didn't trust it.

after i made my wooden doll, i was musing about what other unusual materials i might use for a bjd. my partner suggested paper, and also gave me access to their craft paper collection -> i made this.

she is almost entirely made of paper & cardboard. the joints are wooden beads & worbla, because i did figure out a way to make ball joints out of paper, but it really was not worth the effort. all her limbs have tubes of rolled-up cardboard in them to keep the structure sturdy, and the origami flowers are glued around those.

this is extremely different from any doll i've made before, and i had so much fun working with pretty papers & figuring out how to turn them into a poseable 3d object.
