In my human/punk band au:

Blossom and Butch bond over books (I SAID IT!!! BUTCH LIKES BOOKS, ESPECIALLY FANTASY SLIGHT ROMANCE!!!!).

Bubbles and Butch bond over being drummers! (They are both drummers in their respective bands)

Buttercup and Butch don't have any actual passions in common except music and their love for eachother. (They are so fucking sappy after they got together, people started regretting shipping them, the couple knows what they are doing )

If the CW Powerpuff Girls script counts as legitimate script writing, than you should never be afraid to put your work out there. Write that book. Write that script. Write that fic. I guarantee that whatever you write is nowhere near as terrible as that dumpster fire.

she will hiss at people who try to get within a 2 foot radius of the bird

she names it Bones

Bones is the loudest bird ever. it screeches at 3am, but that’s okay cause Buttercup is awake at those times anyways. BLOSSOM on the other hand, wants to mangle the bird and set it free to the wild and make it fend for itself

Brick is the only person that is allowed to touch Bones, but only because he absolutely despises the bird and Buttercup finds it hilarious

Blossom tried bird sitting for Buttercup when she was out of town. remember that scene from Gilmore Girls where Lorelei loses Rory’s chick and has to call Luke over to help find it? that, except Luke is Brick and Blossom has 2 mild panic attacks during the whole chaotic experience

side note: just cause I love the reds, the whole “wow you actually have a bird loose in the house” debacle and the “why did he say that? of course I had a bird loose” “well… maybe he thought you meant you wanted him to come over to… you know…” scene absolutely happened with Bubbles being Sookie (i literally cant think of anything besides a Gilmore Girls AU now, help)

Buttercup buys the most expensive bird food. only the best for her unofficial-official child

Butch has talon marks all over his chest because of the one time he tried getting near Bones and it just straight up attacked him

he cried and Buttercup had to help dress his wounds while chastising him

Bones lowkey has the personality of Nigel from Rio and Buttercup LOVES it

he is only loyal to Buttercup and sometimes Brick, anyone else is free reign to absolutely claw apart

Bubbles is only scared of one animal and that animal is Bones. Buttercup uses this as leverage against her

When Butch figured out that he like buttercup freshmen year he was like "NOPE" not cuz "why her?!" more like "I don't wanna f up this friendship". So he went to his friends from junior high to ask for advice (this post). They were like "tell her" and he was like "no any besides that" so they suggest flirting with other people, so he did. He did fall for 3 other people and he felt content with each of his partners.

Also at this point everyone new he was bi.

I don't know any of their names yet, still thinking about them.

1st he dated a girl, it was good for a while until she would always get mad at him for talking to people in a fun way. Mind you he has always been the person to flirt talk with EVERYONE. For example he would talk to Pablo in a flirty tone and he would do it back as a joke. She talked to him about that and he understood and stopped doing it. But the last straw for him was when she told him to stop talking to his friends who were girls. Like Buttercup, Bubbles, Blossom, Mia, Leah, and Justina ( the last three are my OCs and they are the ones he met in junior high). That was his last straw because all those girls were like his sisters(except buttercup, but he did forget his feelings for a long time, so no "I like my best friend not you")/besties and got him through some really depressing moment in his life. He started dating her end of freshmen year and ended it in the first semester of sophomore year.

(The last two are gonna be shorter because I have not put that much thinking into it yet, I may update it later tho)

2nd he dated a guy, they were cute and cuddly in the beginning but after the honeymoon phase, they both forgot they even had a boyfriend. This was not a toxic relationship at all. It was like......you were making plans with one of them and you suggest to bring their boyfriend they are like"Oh Yeah I Should" they don't think of them until you bring it up. This relationship was short-lived. They dated from the end of the first semester to the middle of the second.

Last but not least was a person (they are nonbinary, they/them pronouns plz) When they started dating they were great but both of them realized that it was more of a physical attraction for both of them and nothing romantic sadly. They mutually broke up and are still friends!

In my headcanon the ruffs made friends in junior high that had nothing to do with the puffs. They lived in a district where they had the same elementary schools, different junior highs, same highschools. So in junior high the boys made friends on their own and went to highschools with them. At this point the rivalry is gone by the time the reds are in 8th grade, greens are in 7th grade, and the blues are in 6th grade.
