"Is this my family?"
This may, my grandfather passed away. In his last days, he didn't remember who i was. When i heard Hunhows lines in the new area I burst into tears
I love Hunhow. I love this quiet arc that has been building with him since the new war where he sees his son aiding one of their bitterest enemies bc he considers his dad and what he did a failure to him and his people and then he has to watch that son die and be brought back as an abomination. He sees his daughter become something else entirely used as a tool abandoning him and their people now on the brink of death. But he tries to persuade Erra to leave Narmer because that's still his son. He helps the Drifter try and save the Lotus bc even though she might not even speak to him anymore and they're functionally enemies he would hate to see his daughter die.
And then he has this relationship with Stalker where he sees a man in a position of bitterness and hate like he used to hold but he saw where that path leads so he guides him away from it. We both hate the kid but who else could help Jade right now? What good does holding to that hatred do to you and your child?
And at the end of it he sees a family in conflict much like his own and he sees clearly what he has to do. Too much blood has been shed too many lives destroyed and hurt. He's a relic of the past who has no place in a better world or so he seems to think so who else better to make that sacrifice? Who else understands that pain and has the gravitas and the knowledge to make that happen? His war ended long ago and his family doesn't hear his calls anymore. If he can mend this family then perhaps he can find some peace in that.

This makes sense, as Wally does seem to be capable of overwriting things!
Isleweaver is him attempting to overwrite Duviri with Hatefic, and 1999 is only alterable Hex-Quest Style because Wally snuck into the Loop and springed the proverbial mousetrap
It’s great to have someone point out that Eternalism may NOT mean ‘Multiverse’, and that the force that allows for Multiverse Nonsense is The Void, specifically, and how it interacts with The World Of Dust!
Plus the idea of Wally outright Weaponizing and creating (conceptually embodying, even) Timelines to throw them at us is very Fun and Scary.
And it means that Warframe’s WoD/Normal World ISN’T a Multiverse but can BECOME one if the Void gets too rampant. Because whilst the WoD is very much Finite, from the perspective of Infinity all choices are equally valid (or invalid) and with the Void, perception seems to be reality to an extent!
Something something Wally’s Head looks like the Split Experiment in Quantum Physics, and Particles in that experiment act differently depending on if they’re Observed.
This seems an Important design choice, but I can’t decide if the ‘Thing that is Changed when Observed’ applies to just The Void, or both the Void AND the WoD as a Recursive/Mirrored act of Observation!
When you look into the Abyss, the Abyss looks back…. then gives you Space Ninja Powers, and breaks Time to hit you with your Dead Wife.

There's a lot of nuance lost in the format as far as Wally's perspective and interactions go, and I do beg forgiveness for that.
Wall ramble time below cut. Wally ties with the drifter for my favorite warframe character so theres a Lot of Thoughts.
They've got a fantastically interesting human-void duality going on, as is so clearly expressed in Isleweaver, where we constantly see them trying to weigh the emotions and pain they feel against the eternal truth that it's all impermanent. It matters to them, but it shouldn't. They feel, they hurt, but they shouldn't. They change over time against their own will, it seems, and so long going unheard and unknown despite knocking on every door and screaming in every window has made them so bitter and angry. It's like their work on Rusalka was half convincing her and half convincing themself.
And they can't even really express themselves in a way that matters. They want to be understood, and crave connection, but who's even listening?
So we get them simultaneously trying to be our friend and crush us down into dust.
(I don't think things like the rap tap tap and that wide grin were originally supposed to be sinister to them. They're knocking. Wanting to be heard. And letting us know we aren't alone. They're smiling. Isn't that the regular way people greet each other nicely? They're using names that were once terms of endearment from people we held dear. Don't those usually make you happy?)
With instances like the o/s twins and isleweaver, I see these as attempts for catharsis and connection respectively. The former is also a good scheme to get information out of Hunhow, as well as plenty other things, and it really makes me wonder if there's another void being off in tau that's connected to the blooms that the wallman wants to reach. (Doubles are just too common. Tau is too weirdly important to both Albrecht and Wally both. And theres the wondering if Albrecht is the other Wally but... Idk I don't think it checks. )
O/S makes the second instance of them singling out a child who was supposed to be cared for and surrounded by community, isolating them, and dragging in a double to be by their side from another unrealized time.
One time is strange. Twice, in this game of twos and threes, means it means something Very Important.
And Isleweaver was all about wally wanting to connect with the drifter So Damn Badly that they'd be willing to raise another being to be their equal. It went to shit, of course, but in theory it sHOULD make sense that offering to remould someone's prison into something they can be happy in again, like they'd originally made it together to be, would work out, right? Though Wally's spite and bitterness was also a pretty damn big factor in why that whole plan fell through, I think.
1999 was clearly something that Wally was getting catharsis from as well. (Like, 'fine. Well if you're gonna get mad at me for doing this with real people, then howabout we do it with fake ones?' or something.)
