I’ve said this before and I’ll point it out again - Menstruation is caused by change in hormonal levels to stop the creation of a uterine lining and encourage the body to flush the lining out. The body does this by lowering estrogen levels and raising testosterone. Or, to put it more plainly “That time of the month” is when female hormones most closely resemble male hormones. So if (cis) women aren’t suited to office at “That time of the month” then (cis) men are NEVER suited to office. If you are a dude and don’t dig the ladies around you at their time of the month, just think! That is you all of the time. And, on a final note, post-menopausal (cis) women are the most hormonally stable of all human demographics. They have fewer hormonal fluctuations of anyone, meaning older women like Hilary Clinton and Elizabeth Warren would theoretically be among the least likely candidates to make an irrational decision due to hormonal fluctuations, and if we were basing our leadership decisions on hormone levels, then only women over fifty should ever be allowed to hold office.

Steubenville Rape Case Verdict: GUILTY

Both assailants in the Steubenville rape were found guilty this morning.

I know this won't reach the 9,000+ that have now seen some part of my original, what's-wrong-with-the-world, late night rant, but for those of you that DO read this, please spread it.  I'm not sure how you put out a wildfire on tumblr without an equally large one. The teenagers that have been accused in the gang rape now face trial on Feb. 13, 2013 IN JUVENILE COURT  before aVISITING judge.  The PETITION no longer needs to be signed. The group Anonymous wants more teenage boys to be tried, but the Steubenville police force says their hands are tied in the matter, so while the above is great news, there are still a few who will be getting off easy.  The good news is, I have the feeling that they are scared shitless by the amount of rage their actions have caused across, if not the nation, the Internet. More information:  "Stuebenville Officials, battling allegations of a cover-up, announced the creation of a new website today to debunk rumors and create what they said would be a transparent resource for the community.

"This site is not designed to be a forum for how the Juvenile Court ought to rule in this matter," the website, called Steubenville Facts, said.

A timeline of the case, beginning with the alleged gang rape of a 16-year-old girl at a party on Aug. 11-12, 2012, is posted on the site. Summaries of Ohio law relating to the case and facts about the local police force including statistics on how many graduated from Steubenville schools, is included."  (ABCNews) I personally have yet to read through the Steubenville Facts website, but there is the link for your own perusing. Again, I did not expect this reaction from the original post.  PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE spread this if you can so that those who felt sickened by the act can have some hope of justice coming to this despicable crime.

Maybe you can fix it or edit it to say that all you have to do is copy & paste the link instead of clicking? myedgytumblrname  Thanks for letting me know - I also misspelled “Steubenville” in the original post (absolutely humiliating, especially with this overwhelming response; I claim a blinded-by-rage moment when writing the original post.) I’m still working on finding a working URL for the petition. A general Google search should bring it up. But the good news is the case has been taken to a state level, and is now out of the town’s jurisdiction. The football player’s mother who was the town prosecutor asked to be taken off of the case in September. National coverage as well as the attention through social media is helping to bring justice against this heinous crime. Thank you all for spreading the word! I’m honestly in awe at the response the post received. And I find it necessary to state that the people of tumblr are much more socially aware than the vast majority of my Facebook friends. Thank you again, and I’m sorry about the link!
