the bruins posted these super dramatic pictures of the bruins that full on make them look like the suspects of some sort of murder mystery game.

The Crime: A young man is found dead in a hotel room. His ID says he’s a recent college grad and after interviewing his friends and family, one who does not seem to have any enemies. he’s shot in the chest with his hands tied behind his back to a chair. the absence marks on his wrists suggest there was no struggle. Also he still has his watch, a rather expensive model, and all the money in his wallet.

The suspects

Brad Marchand - a popular public figure around these parts, everyone knows Brad Marchand and they don’t always have a lot of nice things to say about him. Always bumping elbows with politicians and the other elite means while most people have stories of the seedy actions he commits, he’s never faced any jail time for them. Another suspicious piece of evidence is that the hotel room the young man was found in was actually booked under Marchand’s name. Though there seem to be no ties between the two.

Joakim Nordstrom - This man has quite the record with local police, spending his youth robbing convenience stores and dealing drugs to high school students makes him quite a public figure as well, although with a lot less luck. Rumor has it he recently started to work for Marchand as a foot soldier and the people in his life have become increasingly suspicious of all the nice new clothes and cars he suddenly has. He was seen in the hotel bar the night of the murder.

David Backes - The grieving father. A retired firefighter who lost his wife 5 years ago after a car accident, Backes seems inconsolable after the death of his only son. While the two may not have always seemed eye to eye everyone agrees that the disagreements they did have were typical for a father and son who have gone through so much turmoil in recent years. Suspiciously Backes has fresh cuts on his face and hands, as well as a life insurance payout from his sons death.

Noel Acciari - The deceased best friend from college claims there’s no reason for anyone to want to kill him. The two of them were business students together and Acciari has countless of stories recounting the good times the two had together. Maybe our victim wasn’t an angel but he was a lot better than some of the other people they went to school with. Noel has no idea what he possibly could have done to get wrapped up in this situation. Phone records show that the night of the murder the deceased and Noel made 5 phone calls to each other lasting over 20 minutes, the last one only lasted 2. Acciari says he has no recollection of these phone calls.

David Pastrnak - A trust fund baby from the nice side of town seemingly has no connections to the deceased at all. Except for his fingerprints which were found in the hotel room. Pastrnak claims he may have stayed in that room recently since his father does own that hotel chain but has never met the deceased before in his life. 

Gemel Smith - The childhood friend of the deceased who claims nothing is as it seems. Points out that the relationship the victim had with his father was more than strained, even before the death of his mother, and claims that Acciari has been nothing more than a bad influence on the victim, getting him involved in drugs. Says a week before the murder the victim said he needed some help but when Smith met up with him later, he appeared anxious but said everything had been cleared up.

Tuukka Rask - The responding officer to the crime who was not on duty that night. said he heard about the crime over his police scanner and was near by, able to get there quickly. No witnesses from the area claim to have seen officer Rask in the area and no cameras picked him up there either. Rask has also been involved in tracking down Marchand and his gang for several years and is the first one to suggest that it looks suspiciously like work done by the group.

The interviews pt 1.

David Backes - You decide the most glaring issue with Backes is not only the rumors from Smith who claims the two have always had a very rocky relationship, but also the life insurance Police. Who exactly takes out life insurance on their children.

“I’m a retired fire fighter” Backes says, “I know how dangerous the world can be, and life insurance is just smart to have. After my wife died I took out policies on both my son and I because I refused to be caught off guard again. I just wish I was wrong.”

SO what about what Smith said? That you two didn’t get along? “They were close when they were young. And sure my son and I didn’t get along when he was a teenager but teenagers can be difficult and I was always a strict father. But I loved him and I know he loved me. Maybe we’ve grown a little distant lately but I always assumed it was because he was growing older.”

WEre you aware your son was doing drugs? “Of course not. But If I had been I would have done what I could to get him help. I never would have hurt my son. I’ve lost too much.”

Joakim Nordstrom - Probably your number one suspect, Nordstrom is notorious for not talking to the police. However this time he has somethings to say. 

“That bar is a popular hang out for all of us. You can check the tapes, I’ve been there every night this week. Now why some kid ended up murdered in that hotel room is beyond me but I had nothing to do with it. But I did notice something weird.”

What was that? “We saw his buddy, that Acciari guy in the hotel, alone, So i don’t know what that was about or anything.”

What was he doing? “Nothing really, just leaving the place. It must have been around 9 pm but that’s all I know.”
