I think Gangle might have accidentally summoned/conjured the truck that hit her in episode 4.

It wasn't there before she tripped and started falling on the road. In fact, there were no moving vehicles at all until that moment. And Caine had no reason to hit her with it back then; he was even kinda confused that such a thing happened.

There's an anime genre called "isekai", where a character gets transported to a different universe, often after getting hit by a truck. And Gangle is famously an anime fan.

So, perhaps, she wanted to be isekai'd out of the circus back into the real world at that moment, and that's why. Escapist fantasy gone wrong due to the magical reality of the circus.

A different interpretation of the scene (which doesn't really contradict the other one) is that Gangle was suicidal. She almost abstracted mere moments before going outside. Maybe she was thinking about dying in a car crash and that was the reason she got hit. // I kinda want to rant about how a lot of Gangle's suffering in ep 4 and overall is caused by Jax but maybe not now //

Also, Gangle being the one to summon the truck in ep 4 makes sense for why Caine would use it against her in the torture scene in ep 8. Like, "remember what happened when you were left to your own devices? you were miserable and conjured a vehicle to hurt yourself". It was exactly the same truck too.

Anyways, I love her. Wish she would get some more development. I want to see her explore her more "loud" side. Every shy person like her has one. Don't know if we have enough time for it tho, now that there's only 1 episode left.

2025 is almost over, and to celebrate, I wanna repost my favorite drawings I've made this year and reflect on my art as a whole.

I'm really proud of the progress I've made this year. I improved my lighting, experimented with new poses, and tried making comics, too. All those seem like little things, but it's small details like that which help me to get better over time. Next year I hope to improve even more.

I know I'm not the best artist, and I'm not all that popular either, but I just love creating things. It's something that no one can take away from me. When the Internet inevitably becomes overrun with soulless AI-slop, at least I will still have my art. It might be messy and imperfect, but it's real. And even if no one else sees it but me, that will have to be enough.

To the few followers and rebloggers I have, thank you. It brings me so much joy to see people appreciating my work and enjoying my content. I wish you all so much hope and peace in the coming year.

And to other artists who are feeling discouraged, please know this: nobody can stop you from making art. There are art thieves and AI-bros all over social media, but your love for making art is the one thing they can't steal. Enjoy the process, and keep doing what makes you happy.

Hold on. If Abel was Caine's NPC, then did Caine just trick Jax into listening to him talk about his interests?

It makes so much sense that Jax was able to predict the twist at the end of the episode. He treats the circus and everyone in it as if its a cartoon, so of course he saw the betrayal coming. He's so used to life in the circus that he knows one of Caine's tricks when he sees it. Pomni, as the newest circus member, doesn't see it coming and falls for Abel's plan.

But what I didn't expect was how the roles reversed at the end. Jax actually began to fall for the trick, and Pomni started to doubt it. It goes to show that Jax hasn't truly lost his humanity. He's still capable of being deceived like anyone else. So the ending where he pushes the red button is all the more ironic. He was right all along, but it didn't matter because nothing he chose would have changed anything anyway.

In a way, this whole episode basically proved Jax's flawed philosophy correct. They all live in a cartoon, where all the twists are predictable and the ending is already determined. The only time he showed his humanity--falling for the trap and pushing the button--turned out to be pointless. It's as if he's just a cartoon character with no control over his own fate. Abel's betrayal basically affirmed every false belief he has, and I'm scared of what it's gonna do to him.

Just... such a perfect twist with so many layers of meaning. I can't wait for these last two episodes to destroy me even more.

I don't care if the plot twist in episode 7 was predictable it was the coolest twist ever and I loved it so much, 10/10 would scream and cry for these characters again
