Every Christmas
Every Christmas, I always wish that I would step my feet to somewhere new, see different landscapes, grasp different patterns, breathe different air. But in fact, I've already spent 10 Christmases here and in just a few days I will be spending another Christmas at the same place.
Every Christmas there is always a little hope deep in my heart that one day I would be able to make it, I would be living my dreams, instead of surviving. But it's been years and I still got stuck here and try to find solace.
Is it my ignorance and stupidity that made me fall into this status-quo? Is it my own fault to be this stupid and getting left behind? Yes.
Feeling sick in realizing that I have these dreams, without realizing that nightmares are dreams too.
To my star, my perfect silence. W.W.

It’s like when someone says, ‘How are you?’ Do you say, ‘Well, my head hurts and I’m lonely and depressed and I’m worried about everything and the world is collapsing and full of evil’? Or do you say, ‘I’m fine’?
The Visibles (Sara Shepard)
The Yes Men Fix The World (2009), a very inspiring comedy-satire-documentary, a must watch for everyone.
Gotta love the sarcasm brought by Jacques Servin (aka Andy Bichlbaum) and Igor Vamos (aka Mike Bonanno) to ridicule these capitalists, corporate tools and minions. You're gonna laugh hard and fall in love with what they did to make the climate-threatening corporations (i.e. Halliburton) look stupid with their Survivaballs. And the last scene.. the thing they did with The New York Times.. it left me in awe and tears, and will remind us all that there is still hope for world peace.
No matter what, intelligence always wins over money. These guys really got the balls. I salute you!
Thank you Amanda for recommending me to watch this!
Grateful People Are Mean
When feeling grateful is shown by comparing yourself, who happen to have a better condition and situation, to others who are less fortunate than you.
We don't even remember how we start living. What if we were only dreaming?
Cheers to the preference of old original recordings without digital clean-ups, Mr. Tarantino! Can't wait to see Django Unchained!!
When I saw the clown scenes from a beautiful yet depressing French animation, L’Illusionniste (2010), I suddenly remembered a story which I read somewhere long time ago:
There was a certain man who always feels sad and depressed. He tried everything to please himself but life just seems against him all the time. One day, he made an appointment to see a psychiatrist to cope that problem. The day he met the doctor, he told him to go to a famous circus in town and see a legendary funny clown, whose acts and jokes would never disappoint anyone. The man was quiet.. and said “Doctor, that clown is me..”

Whatever makes you feel down or depressed, it is VERY OKAY to be not okay. We still have one precious thing to keep, which is Life :) So keep your chin up, smile, and come what may!

Whenever I listen to them, I'll always feel such beautiful, nostalgic moments, which in fact, are not (and would never be) parts of my life.
(And then I think I was born in the wrong era, again.)
#np So Nice - Astrud Gilberto
A sneak peek of my new experiment. Hehe :-)
One of the best moments from Gurinder Chadha's Angus, Thongs, and Perfect Snogging, a very lovely coming-of-age film that has been recommended by my little sister. Libby, the little sister of the main character was such a cutiepie, and she really reminds me to the one who recommended me to watch this film, Lintang. And what made Libby more awesome was that she thinks she's part cat. Very adorable and eccentric at the same time.
I'm sitting in front of my laptop, trying to get done with all the tasks I must finish within this week. And suddenly here came a small insect settling down on the surface of my laptop monitor. I wasn't distracted by it, yet this bored feeling drove me to 'have fun' with it. So I started to follow where the little creature goes with my cursor. When it walks, I move my cursor to follow it, then when it stops, I stop my cursor as well. The little one seemed confused, but funnily, it seemed like it had fun too.
Maybe I sound crazy but I found happiness that refreshed me a little from such simple thing. Or perhaps it is just okay to be crazy once in a while.. in order to be happy.
