I think they trailer was incredibly executed, at least if my interpretation of it is correct. (Spoilers ahead!) So my thought has always been that the umbral ending felt like the obvious cannon ending. Bc the other two endings seem to urge you into the umbral ending, especially if you've played the first game and are familiar with how Adyr and how he operates. I'm insanely sensitive to spoilers (no exaggeration) so I was careful watching even the trailer at all so I don't have too many opinions yet BUT! that one goddess type that I caught glimpse of, with the wings made of human arms- that's what I'm most excited about. I need answers. I have a feeling that entity is another of the Judges, since there are three and the devs told us we've only seen a small portion of mournestead within LotF 2014 and 2023- so I'm thinking we are going to get to see what's going on in the rest of the land under the jurisdiction of at least one of the other two Judges. In the 2014 game we had three classes to pick from which were Cleric, Rogue, and Warrior. In turn, the lore has Judge Cleric, Judge Rogue, and Judge Warrior. I'm hoping that entity is Judge Rogue since they seem to be basing the modern games off of the aftermath of Adyr's first appearance and how it affects each of the original "class" kingdoms. That said tho, bc I have avoided most media about it, I don't have anything I don't like. The only things I dislike are the fact that they didn't give us a modern remake of the original 2014 game (aka Sparky's backstory) and that lotf2 isn't out yet. Otherwise no notes, they patched every single complaint I had about the release version of LotF 2023, and I expect them to do so in lotf2 as well ngl bc they've spent many podcasts explicitly stating we should expect our wishes to be listened to and brought to life just like they were for the 23 game 🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻 I can't simp hard enough for ci games and he works, especially since the friend pass thing they implemented. Sincerely hope they keep that for lotf2. Reviving the experience of couch co-op could mark them in history.
