Software Development using C# (Bootcamp)
Currently on week 3 out of 13
This bootcamp is really hard but hey at least I am finally getting the hang of it and a lot of the stuff that didn’t make sense to me before is finally making sense to me now.
The last thing we studied was
• Lambda expression
• Generics in C#
• LINQ
I am so happy and proud of myself but that of course wouldn’t have happened without the help of @codemerything @indigotech @moose-mousse
I will be forever grateful to the three of you and I am sorry for throwing my bootcamp trauma at you
Are the assignments getting easier? Not at all but I decided not to care about the grade and just focus on getting better and better at solving problems.
I don’t know what the next week will bring, maybe it will beat me again but I will always get right back up, no matter how many times I fall 🤍✨
Yay! Go you!
Just keep going 🩵
Thank you so much 🤍🤍🤍
*trying to sleep*
my brain: hEYYY remember that time when you were starting out with programming and someone asked you "in what language?" and you went "...uh..english..? :D"
Just spend about like 4 hours learning powershell just so that i can semi-automate installing like 6 apps via powershell
His name is pissy and i love him.
First day at 42 Piscine ended
I'm alive, I'm afraid, I want to pass, I'll get 7hrs of sleep exactly for 10hrs of coding everyday, I've never coded before, I'm SO fucking excited, I have determination, etc.
Decided to make a plate calculator for myself when I'm at the gym. Most of the apps out there are ugly or trying to do too much for something very simple in my opinion.
Was thinking of putting it up on the App Store.
I know folks have been sharing this link on other posts, but &udm=14 works well:
You can add it as an extension to Firefox now: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/udm14/reviews/
thanks @bmoharrisbankofficial but unfortunately i can’t focus on the very important message here because i’m too busy being confused by the fact that apparently if you send an ask with only one letter tumblr will bold that letter in the “asked you” notification text?? why the fuck would that be the case
fascinating
what the fuck is the backend of this site like
I fucked up
Learning any programming language from scratch is deeply confusing, it's really just like being an alien trying to understand the whole world and navigating through Wikipedia pages to do so
This is true, and valid, and I am in no way taking away from that struggle. I had a hell of a time learning. But the magic about programming languages is that this first foot in the door is the hardest it will ever be.
If you speak, say, Italian then you'll very likely have an easier time learning French, or Spanish. But Italian helps fuck all to learn German, or Farsi, or Mandarin. But every programming language has the same exact roots because they all, at the end of the day, translate into Assembly, the only language any computer actually speaks.
After that first language, once the loops and abstraction and zero indexed stiffness is done, suddenly, the entire world of programming is just a few days or weeks of practice away at any given time.
Sure, some will be harder. Lower level languages like C++ are much more limited and more obtuse. But the idea is the same, and it's already in your head by then.
I have never felt more powerful than I did when I first decided to pick up Rust as a whim and had code running on it in a weekend.
Mastery is never easy, but learning any one programming language gives you access to so so many different tools just because they all have to account for the same 1s and 0s. It's a lot more like learning to read. And I encourage every one to do so.

very unconventional way to convey your despair, creator of w3school's c language learning page
Essentials You Need to Become a Web Developer
HTML, CSS, and JavaScript Mastery
Text Editor/Integrated Development Environment (IDE): Popular choices include Visual Studio Code, Sublime Text.
Version Control/Git: Platforms like GitHub, GitLab, and Bitbucket allow you to track changes, collaborate with others, and contribute to open-source projects.
Responsive Web Design Skills: Learn CSS frameworks like Bootstrap or Flexbox and master media queries
Understanding of Web Browsers: Familiarize yourself with browser developer tools for debugging and testing your code.
Front-End Frameworks: for example : React, Angular, or Vue.js are powerful tools for building dynamic and interactive web applications.
Back-End Development Skills: Understanding server-side programming languages (e.g., Node.js, Python, Ruby , php) and databases (e.g., MySQL, MongoDB)
Web Hosting and Deployment Knowledge: Platforms like Heroku, Vercel , Netlify, or AWS can help simplify this process.
Basic DevOps and CI/CD Understanding
Soft Skills and Problem-Solving: Effective communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills
Confidence in Yourself: Confidence is a powerful asset. Believe in your abilities, and don't be afraid to take on challenging projects. The more you trust yourself, the more you'll be able to tackle complex coding tasks and overcome obstacles with determination.
I made a beginner coding resource! 👩🏾💻💗
Hiya! 👩🏾💻💗
I made a coding infographic/slideshow for anyone getting into coding and are stuck! I'm seeing a lot of new codeblr blogs coming up recently and they're all beginners and I have been getting a lot of asks which basically all ask "I'm new to coding, how do I start?", so I decided to make this at 1am in the morning real quick! 🥲😭
I genuinely hope that this resource proves beneficial to someone out there. And remember, if you find yourself still facing challenges or need assistance with anything else, please don't hesitate to reach out. I'm here to help! ✨

I didn't like the first episode of the second season of ODAAT and that’s why
I'm engaging through a very tricky battle right now and ready to get all the hate you guys have to give me but first let me explain.
