notes: so guess who got bored and made anotherrrr one!
this takes place when they're a little younger in the past, about...19-20? Where I think they started dating... also theres a character in here thats not canon to the absolute universe / its for the plot ok
in both bruce and selina's pov
tw: mentions of death, abuse, and scars.
- profanity, make out, one part where someone lifts another's shirt but not for sexual reasons.
"Fuck, it's cold." Oz wrapped his jacket around him more as we all walked to the building.
"That's just how gotham is, you should know that by now." He flips me off.
Me, Harvey, Eddie, Oz, and Waylon were all going to a party. It was for Gordon's celebration of becoming Mayor. I didn't want to go until my mom said I had too.
I like Gordon, it's that I don't like parties in general.
"Yet you're the one wearing a loose button up, and it's not even buttoned all the way. How are you not cold?" Oz narrowed his eyes.
"Man look at the size of him. What makes you think he is cold?" Waylon points at me and everyone starts laughing.
"You do look pretty dapper for what you usually dress like, though." Waylon said.
"Anyone in particular you're trying to impress?"
Waylon never told anyone else, except for me, that Selina was coming.
"No, it's just for the occasion. You know that."
"Uh huh" He smirks a bit and shakes his head.
"It's Selina isn't it?" Eddie blurted out of the blue.
"Because you always get all weird when you're around her, even when someone mentions her. It's been like that since you were a kid." Eddie just smiles and puts his hands back in his pockets.
"Damn Eddie you're good." Harv lights up a cigarette and holds it between his fingers.
I didn't know what to reply except for the fact that I didn't technically wear this out of just thinking of Selina (I mean sort of) but it was just mostly because of the event.
After 15 more minutes of walking, we reached our location, it was a really tall building, and looked very modern.
When we entered through the door, there was already so many people just talking with drinks in their hands. Though after a few minutes we actually made through the crowd and found the elevators.
"Guys!"
We all turned and saw Selina. She was trying to come towards us but there was so many people that she couldn't get through.
And she looked beautiful.
"Excuse me." I walked over to where she was and grabbed her hand softly so she can follow through.
Once we got out, I let go.
"Thanks for leading me the way out, I didn't think there was going to be this much people."
"Neither did we." I give her small smile and and then she turned to greet the rest of us.
After we all went into the elevator, we got out on the floor where Gordon & My mom were at.

"You guys all look so nice!" Martha says, hugging me tightly.
She's always been really sweet to me, she even offered for me to stay at their home when I was little, since I kept on going from foster home to foster home.
"Thank you, Martha. I've missed you so much."
I bought a pair of jeans that were on sale the other day and decided to wear it on this occasion, it had a little vintage flair to it that I liked, and styled it with a cute fur shearling jacket from the 90's.
After we pulled away Martha began talking to the others and I turned around to see Bruce fixing his button up.
"I'm suprised." I looked at him up and down as he looked at me clueless to what I was talking about.
"About what?"
"Your outfit. You don't usually wear stuff like this." I touch the front of his shirt and feel the material.
"It's been in my closet for about a year, I've never used it, so I assumed its a good time to use it."
"I like it though, you look really good."
"Thank you, you too." He mumbled quietly but loud enough where I could hear.
"Selina!" Someone yelled, ruining the moment deep inside I loved, between me and Bruce.
"Shit. Let's go." My natural instinct started to push Bruce (which obviously didn't work because he's built like a brick.), because I didn't want to see him.
"What?" He looked back at me and gestured me to turn around.
No.
"Hey, you look nice. Haven't seen you in a while." Bradley gave me a small smile and looked at me up and down.
"Thanks, it has been awhile. But me and Bruce were about to leave and we just wanted to meet up with Martha and Gordon..." I didn't know what else to say other than that. I never wanted to see this guys face ever again. Why is he specifically here anyways?
"Yeah, Se and I were invited, but we had a date planned already before it also, we just decided to do both." He gave him a small smile and I snaked my hand around Bruce's.
"Oh that's nice, glad to see you have a new guy."
"Mhm. We'll see you around." Then me and Bruce walked away.
"Who was that?"
"Bradley. Slam Bradley."
"I still have no clue who that is."
I didn't reply back, just grabbed his hand and we went inside the elevator.
"We were in foster care together, and he was my first crush, which led to him being my first kiss."
"So you just don't want to see him? How come?" Bruce stood right next to me as the elevator went down.
"He wanted to do more... but I said no."
Bruce didn't reply, though it looked like he was thinking, and sort of upset.
"I'm sorry, I would've beaten his ass if you wanted me too."
I laughed after that and leaned on his shoulder.
"I'm serious. I just want to do it myself now."
"It was a long time ago, and as you can tell I don't talk to him at all anymore."
"How come we never knew about him?"
"I was sixteen and he was nineteen, and there was still a lot going on in my life that I wanted to keep to myself. It was just one kiss."
"You're lying." Bruce looks at me slyly.
It's weird because he's right. Not that it was much of a difference, but I kissed him twice.
"How do yo-"
"We've been bestfriends since we were little, you think I can't tell a lie?" The elevator door opens and we walk out.
"Hey it's not much of a difference, I kissed him two times. The reason I didn't want to say two is because the second one was due to me being emotional, and he took advantage of it."
"But pretend those don't count. Se, he's not in your life anymore, and he's a piece of shit."
"I know that, either way whoever I kiss next gotta be special."
I put my hands in my pockets as we walked outside. It was silent for a little bit.
"Your nose is turning red." I giggled a bit when I saw him give me an annoyed look.
"It's gotten colder..." He trailed off and looked like he wanted to smile.
"It's cute because you also still have a babyface." Which made me laugh a little more.
"Shut up." He mumbled under his breath, but a smile was growing on his face.
"Wanna go to my home?" Bruce asked, and I nodded.
_____♡_____
"I forgot to thank you for covering me." I sat on his desk chair as he sat on his bed.
"No problem."
I caught him looking at a picture with his dad when he was little, before everything went down.
"He'd be so proud of how much you've grown." I looked at it too while I said it.
"Sometines it still feels like when I was eleven again, at the zoo..." He trailed off and layed back on the bed.
"He still lives in you, just in a different way. With all the love he had for you and your mom it'll forever be in your heart." I moved, walking over to sit on the bed next to him.
He sat up slowly again and looked at me.
"You're loved you know that right?" Bruce blurted out.
"If you call this love, then I guess." I said sarcastically as I pulled off my jacket, and rolled up my shirt, turning so he could see my back.
"Who the fuck did that to you?" I felt his finger trace the scar.
"Se, who did that?"
"It was when I was at one of the foster homes. They don't love like people say they do. Especially when you're a little kid who's supposed to be filled with love, finds that out."
"Where do they live?"
"Nice try Bruce." I put my shirt back down and turned to him.
"You can't fight everyone." I didn't know why I was getting so irritated, to be honest. Maybe it's cause we lived from different perspectives. Maybe it was something coming from inside me that deep down, even with the thick skin I've gained and try to get over it, I didn't deserve that.
I think Bruce noticed because he pulled me close. My eyes were watering but only a few tears dropped out.
I pulled away a bit to look up at his face, and felt his fingers wipe the tears.
"You're loved by Me, all the boys, and my mom. I hope you know that."
I didn't really say anything back as I took a deep breath, and leaned up to kiss him.
"Sorry. Don't think that kiss was just because I was emotional." I mumbled as I pulled away.
"Se either way I would've been glad to be one of the guys you've kissed, to be honest." Which made me smile a bit.
"Wait, you've kissed girls before, right?" I move closer to him, really curious because he's never really mentioned any girls throughout his life.
"No...is that embarrassing?" He said a bit quiet which made me kiss his cheek.
"No, I just never thought I would be your first kiss."
"Well I'm glad you are." He leaned down to kiss me again.
That's all we did for the next five minutes, kissing. I leaned down to his neck and gave him little kisses. Then I felt him twitch a bit.
"You're a softy."
"I didn't expect for you to kiss my neck." He smirked a bit.
"Sorry was that too much?"
For a second I thought he was serious about it.
"No it feels really good. I'm just not used to this stuff."
Before I could say anything he moves me away from him and moves his face to the crook of my neck.
"I love you, Se. Sorry I know it's too early but don't think I'm doing this out of just lust. Okay?"
"I love you too, you know that."
"Ever since I was a kid." He said before putting his mouth on my neck.
