Ugh. Did work always have to be a thing? Can’t he just call in sick? Probably not. Joey was supposed to open this morning. He could hear the loud alarm against his ear. What time was it? It was probably too dark to tell. He was awake as the room finally stopped spinning. Last night was fun. Mixing his clears and dark liquors would surely do this to any person. Joey wasn’t a normal person or so he thought. He felt like the man last night as he was taking shots left and right. He didn’t think that tonight was going to have any consequences. WRONG! Opening one of his eyes, he grabbed onto his phone to check the time. It was five in the morning. He still had time to sleep in a little, but then he realized something. He takes very long to get ready. Joey immediately sat up as he was trying to make sense of the blurry vision. He was never going to drink like that ever again. Sadly enough, that’s what he says every time he drinks.
When it came to drinking, he always made empty promises. Maybe that’s why life doesn’t want him happy. Irritated, Joey got up from his bed and made his way to the bathroom. He was grateful that his bathroom was right next to his room. The poor soul turned on the water as he dropped all of his clothes and sluggishly entered the stall. He stumbled into the water as he could feel a rush of cold water engulfing his entire body. He immediately stepped away from the cold water and sighed. Why did the water have to be so cold?! It didn’t take a genius to wait till there was steam to jump in. It didn’t help that he was still feeling the effects of yesterday either.
Joey was quick and got everything done and ready. He left his house in a hurry because he wasn’t sure if there was going to be room in the library. He managed to make it to school early so he could get some studying in. It was so stressful. He partied the night before and didn’t study for the exam that he was about to take in four hours. He managed to make it to the library to find a spot. With coffee on one hand and pen in the other, he was ready for war. He was going to study his ass off.
Time went on and he had written so much that his hand started cramping. He could’ve sworn his brain was hurting, but it was most likely the hangover. What to do now? He packed up his things and decided to walk around campus. Maybe he’d run into someone or possibly find another person to compare notes with.
Waking up early was not something Amara did. It just wasn’t in her DNA... or well... it wasn’t something she followed. The rest of her family was actually quite good at it, they also were all living in the real world however, when Amara had just started college this year. Her parents had assumed that college would mature their daughter, instead Amara had immediately gotten into the party scene and went out every night. She wasn’t completely irresponsible though, she had made sure all her classes were afternoon classes so that this wouldn’t be a problem.
For that reason, the fact that Amara had woken before noon was quite out of character for her. What wasn’t, was the fact that she had not woken up in her own dorm room. Instead, Amara had spent the night at one of her many suitor’s rooms. And as usual she woke up, got dressed, and left before they had even stirred. Did she leave a note? No, it wasn’t her style. Nor was staying for breakfast or morning cuddling.
Amara was so used to this, that she kept a “walk of shame” outfit in her car at all times, that way she could do a fast shower and touch up in the bathroom before leaving. As Amara was walking across campus, looking pretty damn good for someone who was doing a walk of “same”, she spotted a guy who was actually in a couple of her classes. He was cute but Amara had not had the chance to talk to him just yet. “What are you doing?” She called out, to him, seeing as he didn’t seem to have any real destination in mind. “Don’t you have class?” Most people did at this time, Amara was one of the few who didn’t have classes until after lunch.
ooc: kind of sucky, sorry, but it’s done!
