Do you ever think that Omen would keep a sketchbook filled with anatomy drawings and just.. random faces? As if he's drawing a Visage to see if it could fit him, if it could be him.

I must be losing my sanity completely because I had a nightmare today that a Pakistani hacker -
(Why Pakistani? I don't know, might be, because I was reading about Pakistan's history the other day or maybe because I have some sort of undiscovered, secret grudge against specifically Pakistani hackers)
- hacked my IPad, and because of that, he gained access to my computer, created a spam folder in my Windows settings, and began installing some mildly annoying features- all the while hacking into my IPad camera and making a videoconference call but instead of showing his own face he was tormenting me with Boogie2988 YouTube videos.
Like, I know it was done by my mind and imagination, but what were his reasons for that??? Why Boogie?? How did he hack my IPad??
For the WIP game (yes the one from like 28 days ago...listen I'm sorry, I kept forgetting to send an ask earlier 😭), I'd love to hear about "Trust shatters once you play God"! It feels so rare to come across others who've played The Arcana, so even though Asra's never been my favorite, I just GOTTA know more.

"Trust shatters once you play God" started as a one-shot. It was a rewrite of this one scene through Asra's route when the MC finds out why they have no memories of their life. When I got to this scene, I had to take some time off playing. I felt so many contradictory emotions. It had to marinate.
After some time, I arrived at the conclusion that, while it's great that the MC got a second chance at life because of him, who was he to decide that?
Essentially, it's my take on this scene where the MC is furious at Astra for bringing them back.
It's kind of my headcanon that the MC (I called them Aziraphael) is connected to the temple of an obscure deity that represents the cycle of life. And learning that their existence goes against everything they believed in breaks them. All because of Asra's selfish decisions.
This is the fragment (I personally think) that turned out the best. Everything else needs some fine tuning. :
"How could you? How could you when you knew what balance mean to me! The Goddes I serve, the one who guides souls to their places of rest, the one who dances with life and dines with death, the one who ensures the cycle of being stays unbroken yet never chains it- has turned her back towards me. She swallowed the light from her lantern and walked away, leaving me in the dark so my eyes would never find the right path! I am now forced to forever remain in the state of stagnation, to be embraced by the listless limbs of those who had forsaken her in their pursuit of greatness!"
Their voice finally gave out. A wet hiccup escaped the pursed lips, now deprived of their usual plumpness. They couldn't hold their tears in any longer.
Now, it all makes sense. The stares of disbelief and dread from the townsfolk. Slight shivers of fear or anxiety whenever their hand accidentally brushed the skin of previously friendly vendors while buying their goods. The strange feeling of longing inside their heart. The sudden pain they felt whenever a thought of paying a tribute to the Goddesses and Gods watching over them.
Their knees gave out, and before they could even comprehend what was going on, they were already on the floor. With shaking hands as their only shield from the hard wooden flooring.
"Aziraphael!" Asra, hold out his hand and practically threw himself forward to try and catch his friend.
"DON'T TOUCH ME!"
The shout startled him, to the point that he pushed his own weight away from crying Aziraphael, loosing his footing in a process.
Now, both of them were on the ground. Both distraught but by a hell of entirely different making.
"Because of you..."
Aziraphael continued with a breaking voice. No louder than a whisper. They took a hollow breath, fighting with their lamenting soul.
"Because of you.. I will never see my family. I will never be reborn. I will ne-never feel my goddess spirit again."
Astra's entire body was shaking. He thought.. he thought his love was enough, even if not reciprocated. He thought he was doing good. He wasn't going to accept his beloved friend's departing. He thought.. he thought that after some time, they might forgive him.
He grabbed his head. His breathing became fast, so fast that if he were a normal human, he might suffocate.
No.. it's not happening. This can't be happening! He loves them. Why are they like this? Isn't living a desire of all?
He most certainly desired Aziraphael to live! Then why..?
He could feel it. He could feel those eyes that once gazed at him with such warmth..
For the first time since their talk, they made eye contact.
There was no longer warmth, no more love, no more affection.
There was nothing.
"Azi.."
He couldn't dare to reach his hand, but the desperation was pushing him.
"Azi.. Azi.."
He started crawling towards his companion. Tears rolling down his eyes like waterfalls.
What do you think about Sage x Reyna and Viper x Vyse? To me, these two ships, as well as Sage x Viper, are very interesting in their own way. Definitely different dynamics given their personalities.
I enjoy them! Sagebean is by far my favorite, but there's a reason that reyge is featured in a couple of my older fics and I wrote a Vysper (and Sagebean, technically,) one-shot. Like you said, they all just have different appeals and dynamics due to the different personalities mixed in.
I think the main reason I like Sagebean is because that combo of personalities in particular yields, in my opinion, a uniquely vulnerable and complex relationship. More on that in moment, but first let's talk about the other ships here.
(You didn't particularly ask me to, but I'm going to rate each ship and break down my opinion on them anyway hehe. Stay tuned for unnecessarily in-depth analysis of dynamics as well as some light character analysis.)
Reyge (Reyna x Sage) - 8/10
Reyna has a notably more different personality than every other character being mentioned here. She has the same confidence and bravado that Vyse does, the bloodlust that Viper does, and the obvious soft spots and better connections that Sage does—but she's altogether less composed in all of these aspects, and arguably just as volatile as Viper, if not more so. She also embodies the "protector" in a very obvious way as the one in charge of her sanctuary and as Lucia's older sister. This makes her combination with Sage interesting because they have that bridge of more open affection and lightheartedness to connect them, but still carry the contrast of Reyna's darker and volatile qualities that Sage then balances out. They both share the urge to protect as well, making them very compatible in that respect. In essence, their ship as a whole is very complimentary on a basic level. Reyna could benefit from having someone who protects her, and Sage could benefit from having someone to remind her that she is more than a shield, healer, tool, etc. In theory they can fulfill these roles for each other. All that being said, these two lack the shared past that both Sagebean and Vysper have, and they don't have much tension between them beyond Sage's exasperation with Reyna, and that makes the ship fall a little flat for me. They're fun, but they don't strike me as having a particularly complex dynamic, and I don't spend hours thinking about them, you know?
Vysper (Vyse x Viper) - 7/10
Vyse needs to be reminded of her humanity in a similar way that Viper does—and that makes them very compatible in that they understand each other well, yes, but it also takes away an element of complexity and depth. Relationships (regardless of nature) are best when there's an element of contrast/conflict, and Vyse and Viper lack any real level of contrast aside from Vyse's non-human status and Vyse's slightly more social nature. They're both scientists, they're both confident and egotistical, they're both reluctant to be vulnerable; because of this, they match well, but they don't really interact in an extremely meaningful way to me. The idea of them taking solace in one another and mutually dropping their guard is appealing, and they also strike me as the type to just...not really acknowledge the progression of their relationship, which can sometimes be fun, but overall it's just not my favorite kind of dynamic. Their shared past adds a level of depth and intrigue for sure, and the idea of exploring that and thinking about how it affects their current interactions in the VP is definitely fun, but in my mind they're more like identical puzzle pieces than ones that fit together.
That being said, the way she needs to be reminded of this, unlike in the case of Vysper, is very different in comparison to Viper. Sage views herself as a tool and resource; Viper views herself as a monster. The end goal is the same, but they need to go through very different journeys to get there, and they're each uniquely suited to aid the other in said journeys. Where Sage lacks a level of agency for herself and is too focused on others, Viper has thrown everything else aside in favor of pursuing her own intensely-personal goals, and has been (trying to) focus on only herself as a result. Where Viper believes herself to be a corrupted/distorted version of her former self and genuinely thinks she is irredeemable and monstrous to an extent, Sage not only knew her prior to her transformation into "Viper" (thus allowing her to prove to Viper how much she really hasn't changed), but is also a very compassionate yet principled person who can remind Viper of and amplify her better, softer qualities while grounding/minimizing her less stable and morally bankrupt ones. My point is: their core issues are complimentary and intertwined, but not the same. They have a lot to provide each other in that way.
Sagebean (Viper x Sage) - 10/10
These two are, in my brain, the best of both worlds. Like Vyse and Viper, there is a level of similar nature here. But unlike Vyse, Sage offers parallelism and a foil of sorts in relation to Viper rather than a mirror. Sage is a very obviously caring person, and on a surface level, Viper may seem more apathetic, but that isn't really the case—something we know both because of Viper's behavior in the In My Zone MV and Why We Fight Back MV as well as in-game lore bits (her bet with Brimstone in which she bet in favor of the team's survival, her support for removing the anti-fraternization policy, Omen's voiceline about her healing others in the past, Vyse saying they've saved the world together before, etc.). Viper cares about others just as much as Sage does, the only difference is that she actively suppresses that inclination in herself and doesn't express it nearly as openly. Sage also, as I mentioned before, needs to be reminded of her humanity; same as Viper and Vyse.
On a surface level, they also have a similar level of contrast to Reyge—Sage is more outgoing, Viper is more reserved and self-isolating; Sage is openly affectionate and encouraging, Viper disguises her affection and her praise is hard-won; Sage is mostly averse to violence, Viper revels in it; Sage is naturally soft-spoken and pleasant, Viper's demeanor commands attention and she leans toward being standoffish: Sage's abilities focus on protection and healing, Viper's focus on suffocation and direct damage; I could go on. All of this in addition to their rocky shared past and pre-existing tension as a result makes their interactions consistently interesting and complex. As I like to put it: their dynamic has the sauce. 🤌
Bonus:
Sabyna (Reyna x Viper) - 7.5/10
I think these two are fun! Honestly I feel less passionately about them one way or the other solely because of the lack of content they have in both canon and fandom, but I think they've got some cool potential. They share the quality of "protector," bloodlust, and the situation with Lucia's condition connects them. Reyna's personality also still contrasts with Viper in terms of her extroversion, slight obnoxiousness (lmao), and different approaches to expressing affection for others, all of which makes their interactions more intriguing. The concept of Reyna re-teaching Viper how to trust others and be more open with her emotions in general has a lot of potential to me, as does the idea of Viper getting Reyna to be more cautious and less focused on helping others constantly at the expense of her own energy (both figuratively and literally, in the case of Lucia). Meanwhile, they make quite the power-couple as far as dealing damage to the enemy goes, and it's fun that these two actually match each other's freak when it comes to violence. Similar to Vysper, I don't think they'd be huge on communication and acknowledging how their relationship is developing, but I do think they would have strong trust in one another; perhaps averse to vulnerability, but they would still show it and be emotionally intimate in their own unique ways.

i really enjoy the direction in which he is developing. growing tension and rising stakes in their battles don't force him to change, but reveal a side of him that we've only glimpsed before, a side he kept hidden, not wanting to lose his composure and self-control, traits he's definitely proud of. with every fight, every kill and every loss he allows his grief and anger to take over him, and, surprisingly, it benefits him, turning him into a braver, more steadfast, more reliable soldier, a fierce and formidable opponent. it seems that he works much better when he is driven by emotions, especially negative ones, hm?
by the way, it's funny that both of his call signs (sova and filin) are related to owls. on one hand, it seems to me that with the current development of his character, these creatures are becoming less and less suitable for him. yes, owls are excellent hunters, cold-blooded and deadly, but they are also associated with intelligence, wisdom and insight, and lately this guy has been doing nothing but losing his temper, allowing rage to envelop him and cloud his judgement. he proudly celebrates his bloodthirstiness and lethality, anticipating the punishment of his enemies, their defeat and pain, in the smallest details, moreover. we see him from different angles, a loyal follower, a team leader, a smart, brutal fighter, but all this doesn't really fit with what owls symbolise in most cultures
although, on the other hand, in slavic beliefs, owls are associated not only with wisdom, but also with darkness, grief, loneliness, misfortune, bad news and bad omens, signs of imminent death. these are not the main-main themes, but it seems that all of this resonates with him as a character much more than 'symbol of wisdom', lol. at least with omega sova

And their systems seemingly use it as their energy supply. What happens when what they have stolen also runs out?
Omega earth's climate won't magically fix itself just because they transport the entirety of Alpha's resources to their world.
Fixing such a big issue as WORLD THAT IS FALLING APART would require much, much more radionate than what Alpha alone has to offer. (I'm taking into the account the amount of it they'd have to waste until they might - and I say it with my big voice might find a solution - which is unlikely)
So they'd do what exactly? Find another realms with ATLAS'S help? Places to conquer? To destroy? To steal from? To save themselves and doom others to the same fate that they can't escape from?
In the name of what exactly? Survival of the fittest? - if so the dripping hypocrisy would drown them in the depths of the void Omen speaks of.
After all, following that rule - they should have died long ago.
We can talk about whether Valorant Legion’s actions will save their world or just prolong the end but at the end of the day it doesnt matter to a dying universe. They cant think about the ethics or sustainability of their actions while city blocks are getting destroyed by a lack of radianite.
I am also pretty sure that they dont need radianite as an energy source. They need it to stabilize their reality. That is the problem they are facing not climate change, that just comes with the package.

Ohhh they are horrible because they will doom the others to the same fate as them! Why should they care? From their pov, they are the good guys trying to save their reality, we are given no reason to think there is another solution. Why we fight back, when not about Chiper, clearly shows the world falling apart.
Sure it is bad they dont care about other worlds but would you? I may until one of those tears in reality open close enough to me. We would all be rooting for Omega if the game was from their pov.
No problem about the radianite thing. Valo is shitty with giving lore so I can never guess how much anyone knows, including myself 😉
Honestly, I'd love it if Riot would create a guide or a book or whatever (at this point, I'd even take a pamphlet) with everything that's known about Valorant's lore and history and would upload it to kingdom archives. Not just the e-mails and voice messages from the range. Then everything would be in one place, and there'd be no guessing needed.
Also, to answer you. I am rooting for those who are defending themselves. Even if we got Omega's point first and were meant to root for them, I'd still be leaning towards Alpha. I get they want to save themselves, and I want to say that if I were in their shoes, I'd do the same. (But let's be real, I'd probably be already dead)
My main point, tho, wasn't the hypocrisy (granted, created by their desperation but still hypocrisy nonetheless) or them being "the big bad" of the situation. It's more of "what then?" type of criticism.
They only look at the quickest option (although I understand why), but it will never be enough to save themselves. They would have to repeat that process over and over and over again. And who knows if they can find "another alpha" to steal from or if they even have a chance with their next possible target - before (or if they even) find a permanent solution. They will keep risking their lives, being killed, and losing things and people important to them. And this will happen until their psyche will break.
