eldritch horrors are always seen as these giant, often incomprehensibly huge creatures but what about...tiny eldritch horrors. All the knowledge and power of the universe packed into this palm sized, unkillable, hard to look at thing. And it's scuttling around your house like some fucked up rat

being overly cautious of men makes the concept of gentle male giants so insanely appealing to me because oh my gosh. What do you mean you are literally physically capable of so much harm, capable of dehumanization and weaponizing masculinity, capable of belittling and erasing any desire to embrace femininity for the sake of a traditional dynamic, yet we’re SO gentle. So careful. Lowering your voice, making your actions known before they’re performed, making it feel GOOD to just be little and protected 😭 like, going from being overly cautious and terrified to actually trusting a male presence because this giant has done nothing but prove you’re precious and worth taking care of. Being seen as beautiful and in need of affection. Casual boyishness on a controlled level for your comfort. Devotion. Maturity. Being a soft spot to someone tough. Especially scenarios where this huge guy is doing something so ridiculously gentle like brushing hair with a mini brush between their fingers. Smoothing down skirt fabric between two fingers. Pinching cheeks. It all means so much more when it’s expectations being subverted.

playful giants going from grinning to their smiles dropping and immediately readjusting when they’re reminded of how fragile their tiny friend really is.

playfully dangling a tiny upside down by the leg, immediately holding them flat in their palm when they notice how the tiny has stopped laughing and their face has become concerningly flushed.

tickling a tiny, pinned under a hand, and when they finally let go the tiny’s breaths are heavy and sweat is collecting on their little forehead. the giant frowning, thinking about how they didn’t even try to exert a level of force strong enough to result in that.

flicking the tiny in the stomach and being taken aback when it knocks them over.

play-wrestling with their fingers and feeling a little uneasy at the fact that the tiny seems to be putting in all their effort, heels digging into the giant’s desk, pushing so hard hands fingers have gone pale. The tiny is playing, too, but it unsettles the giant enough to stop wrestling.

Just had the idea that borrowers, that lost a home for example, could use human trains to travel long distances, by hiding under the train somewhere near the wheels or sometimes inside, in a hidden spot.

It’s very effective as long as you know how to get on or off, and with the amount of stuff people forget in the train they might even be able to live inside one!

Tell me your thoughts on this idea, I take the train so often I keep thinking about this

I think one of my favorite G/t tropes is where two people start their friendship via long distance/other scenarios where they don’t meet in person first, and the when they finally meet up their obvious size difference comes into play very quickly. I love that it can lead to all kinds of fun scenarios depending on the circumstances of their meeting.

Where did they first meet up and discover this? Did either of them know beforehand? Is there any panicking between either of them? How much do they trust each other, do things start off completely naturally or is there a bit of a rocky road?

So many possibilities to explore!

Amazing: human partners where one of them is secretly a size shifter keeping said secret every time they have to disappear and shrink due to emotion/time of day, being caught by their partner and having to explain.

But what’s better is: the non-shifter partner has already picked up on this and has been waiting forever for them to finally come clean. Subtly pretending they’ve never noticed the little form hiding behind a coffee mug in hopes that they’ll reveal the secret themselves one day, only for it to happen accidentally while they’re spending time together. The size shifting partner feeling so stupid thinking that they were doing such a good job at keeping themselves hidden, when all along it was just their partner choosing not to address it. The confidence with which they are picked up is the first indicator that maybe they weren’t as discrete as they thought they were.
