Trying to unjam my chain from my bike, I managed to get my finger crunched between chain and gear. Second thing I thought of was "Can I still climb Friday?"
The first thing was "Dear fuck, why did I put my finger there?"

Haven't seen much from LT11 recently. I like this bouldering video, though. I'm not sure if it's mostly because of the music.
Sender One is a new gym owned by Chris Sharma. It's located in OC, California.
Crack Climbing found via Reddit: http://www.reddit.com/r/climbing/comments/tau1n/excellent_video_on_how_to_crack_climb/
I've never tried crack climbing before. It's interesting, though.
I LOVE BOULDERING, it’s a fact =)
You and I both, mang.
Seems legit. I can't find a source for this image. Tinyeye doesn't know either.
I found a traverse in my kitchen. Complete with an arête, juggy start, toe hook, heel hook, and a continuous toe edge around the entire thing. One day I’ll finish it before my mom yells at me for ruining the walls.
best thing ever haha.
Nice toe hook, shoot. No shoes too.
Sourdough pancakes, breakfast of champions!

Climb food, aw yea.
Guy lands head first into his own chalk bucket during the Tour De Bloc qualifying round. I can't stop laughing.

someone should come over and cuddle me then make me pancakes.
Me to me: "Reblog pancakes every single time."
Me: "You're the boss."
i think i'm going to
cut my daily intake to about 1300-1500 a day
maybe even 1000-1200 depending on how balanced i can get my diet
i need to get lighter to go higher
LEAN MOTHER FUCKING MUSCLE!
If you intend to climb at the same time that you diet I think this is a bad idea. You need calories going into climbing or else you're just not going to want to do anything. Your body burns around 80 calories per hour just to keep you functioning while sedentary: heart beating, brain thinking, lungs breathing. 1300 undercuts your basic need for calories by ~500 calories, which of course you can get from fat. But you're still not going to be a happy camper at all. Your body doesn't know that you're trying to get rid of fat and build muscle, all it knows is "Oh fuck, where's my next meal. Let's slow everything down and save some energy." It's not about to say "Aw yea, sweet it's famine time, let's build some muscle with all this mad energy we've got." You cut back on calories to show off muscle, not to build it. If you've got a serious 6 pack sitting under some flab, now you'll be able to see it. Doesn't mean you're stronger.
The little bit of weight lost relative to your total weight isn't going to be the defining factor in whether or not you climb better. Unless you're the avant-garde of climbing. What's going to get you to climb higher is to climb more. While you're climbing more you're burning calories and building muscle. You don't build muscle without calories and nutrients. You don't get nutrients without calories.
You said it yourself: balance your diet. Don't make a deficit.
I try to make it a point to watch everything that Sonnie Trotter puts out because he is one of the most talented “all arounder” climbers.

The editing in this video is kind of whack, but the beginning is cute and the routes are fun to watch.
ASK ME
~~~~~~~~~~Personal 1-How are you? 268-Make a confession:
PLEAASEE?
I guess people blog this at least once on their page. Ill blog it once. Ask away.
I don't normally post anything unrelated to climbing, but I found this funny.
Abbreviated for your reading pleasure: This took me 11 page down key presses to get through. Two hundred and fifty eight questions.
Pretty
Shoooooot, it's not even time to climb and I'm still craving these.
Found out about Asshole Climbers from Reddit today.
Alex Honnold is like the Jim Halpert of climbing.
