vanille is such a fascinating character. she flees from her problems and digs herself into a deeper and deeper hole because she's anxious and avoidant and the whole game is her overcoming this (final fantasy 13 is a highly character driven game with a cast of people who all have massive flaws and relationship issues and need to learn to adapt and cooperate if they want to survive) and people will be like "but she's annoying so she's bad" i hope she hits you with firaga bro!!! a woman personally annoying you isn't a CRIME??? also: people CONSTANTLY FALL FOR HER FACADE DESPITE THE FACT IT'S EXPLICITLY STATED TO BE A FACADE. "she's so ditzy and stupid lol" SHE'S FAKING IT!!! she's faking being an innocent young lady!!! it's her unhealthy coping mechanism and youre ignoring what's IN THE TEXT to then BLAME her for it?! i love 13 BECAUSE of the intensely flawed characters, especially the women, because they're allowed to become better people through their journeys and that is FASCINATING to watch and people just discard that level of complexity bc they really cannot accept a woman being a little silly with it!! in the ff series women written as well as the ones in 13 are sorely needed
