Each time I sketched out a new batch of characters, I went, “ooh i should draw x also!” until this became a much larger project than originally intended lmao.

Percy: I know we're hardwired for ancient Greek but like, I need lessons to actually understand it? Wouldn't it be your third language?

Nico: my dad lived with us in Italy, why wouldn't he speak his native language? I grew up speaking both Greek and Italian.

Leo: i think the more important thing we're ignoring here is that Hades was a present dad.

Nico: is, I live with him sometimes.

Leo: How was that childhood? Like *puts on a high voice* 'oh papa can you read me a bedtime story?' And he goes *puts on a deep voice* 'yes my little bambinas' and pulls out the necronomicon?

Nico: The necronomicon is fictional but points for knowing what that is and also no, he just told us stories he heard from the long dead, Mama was the weird one —but—

Nico: *turns around* Pollux, your dad was around when you were a kid; did you learn Greek?

Pollux: ναι. Different dialects tho.

few things have shattered me like the early chapters of The Son of Neptune when Hazel is being all like "whatever. it's not like i want you as a brother or anything. it's not like i care if you show affection for me or anything" and then getting jealous the second Nico slips up and mentions Bianca, and Nico trying his best and loving her so hard and using his emergency stash of nectar to heal THE MINOR SCRAPES ON HER HANDS WHEN SHE TRIPS and calling her sis, and both of them just tiptoeing around actually saying that they love each other, and then their goodbye before hazel leaves, holding hands and crying and "i might never see you again"--

I just know that Sally Jackson had a bloody aneurysm learning of Jason’s name. That woman made sure to name her son after a Greek hero that had a rare happy ending because names have power.

So imagine her meeting this sweet little friend of Percy’s that was named after a hero that lost all favour with the gods and died alone on a ship.

And was sailing around on a life or death quest on a ship of that same name.

Jason’s just like oh yeah my dad named me and Sally’s smile almost cracks.

Harry Houdini going through the underworld in PJO is hilarious when you remember how much of a skeptic against magic he was. Like he was definitely a Hermes kid but him being a son of Hecate would have destroyed him it’s so funny. Mommy issues plus. But yeah he was absolutely a Hermes kid.

If they don't give subtitles or voice actors for the animals in the show, I would love to see Percy having a one-sided conversation with a whale or something..

I see the general consensus of like, percy is the one who's sooo obvious with his feelings already, like there's so many things he says and does this season that give him away etc etc

but honestly, explicitly in the narrative, I'm inclined to think annabeth is the one whose growing feelings are a lot more obvious. from the hugs in season 1 to the reaching out in season 2, and the 'i hate keeping this from you and you're gonna hate it too'. 'i keep thinking if I can think six steps ahead I can save you'. when he's freaking out about his fatal flaw and she says 'stop, it's okay'. her speaking to him and of him more gently as the season goes on. her smile on the boat after they get past the sirens in response to 'the one version of fate that doesn't suck'. the camera cutting to her when percy says 'we have to take care of our own', the thing she's been trying to get luke to remember. 'she (thalia) can help percy carry the weight, take it off his shoulders'. and then of course the dance teaser from season 3

which of course all of this is also friendship and trust and admiration but also a very solid base for the 'she'd had a crush on him since they were 12' and the possibility that (unlike percy, who is sure that he's coming from a place of friendship with everything that he does, and largely is) annabeth IS aware that there is something there for her, even so early on in their friendship

Sally’s actually so funny. She took her brand new boyfriend, most likely situationship, to Montauk for a getaway. Montauk… the place where she met the god of the sea and father of her child. SALLY 💀

Do you ever think about the fact that nectar is supposed to taste like home and Jason's tasted like sawdust. Do you ever think about the fact that Jason got SPQR burnt into his arm when he was four. Do you ever think about the fact that Jason so willingly accepted Mellie and Hedge yelling at him for something that wasnt even his fault. Do you ever think about the fact that Jason was trying to treat all the gods with equality even the one that nearly killed him and Percy. Do you ever think about the fact that maybe Jason isn't boring and he just dealt with his truama differently by being more quiet and reserved. Do you ever think about the fact that despite saying he wants to be considered part of both camps everyone in the fandom depicts him in a Camp Jupiter shirt and never a CHB shirt so he will always truly be a roman. Do you ever think about the fact that Jason was never really close with any of the seven because none of them really knew about all of his unresolved issues. Do you ever think about that. Do you ever think about Jason Grace.

I really liked this scene where it looked like Dionysus was slacking off, but then the camera zooms out, and you can very clearly see that he's distracting the younger kids and keeping them away from the fights

annabeth taking the initiative to bleat like a sheep and nudging percy to follow suit has the same energy as the “I said hello to the poodle. You say hello to the poodle.” scene we didn’t get from season one—i really appreciate a) her comedic timing and b) percy resigning himself to just do whatever she tells him to do
