For my final assignment in one of my University class I’m writing a 2000 word essay about the supernatural fandom

I’ve been thinking of the sword route and what ERAM says to Kris and I thought of bringing my own thoughts when I first played through it to it, someone has already thought this but eh.

Basically my thoughts with the line “a part of you is enjoying this the same part that enjoyed yesterday knowing that you can say it wasn’t really you” (the line might not be correct this is from memory) now this line to me felt as tho eram was talking to me, this seemed to be a response to the fandom’s response to Chara in undertale, “i didnt do the genocide route that was chara” i will admit I think I did forget about Kris while I was playing the sword route which I do find interesting cause i don’t usually forget Kris like this, it didn’t feel like I was controlling Kris in the sword route sure in a way I’m controlling Kris to control 8bit Kris and at the end of the mini game you control the 8bit Kris not normal Kris and it literally jumps out of the tv, the possession was moved and at the start it shows the soul. Another thing I wanted to bring up is ramb says to Kris that this game will give them freedom which Ig you can argue moving the possession did that but Kris was forced to watch what we did or what we could do (depending on the route) maybe Kris wasn’t even using the controller they were just standing there watching the 8bit Kris move on their own.

One thing I do want to mention that this doesn’t mean I don’t believe the interpretation of Kris having intrusive thoughts in fact I’m pretty sure that was the intended reading of this scene I just wanted to yap about the sword route, the whole mini game felt so weird and uncanny

I want to also mention I thought eram was friend and I don’t think dess is the knight when nothing has disproven the theory to me so I’m probably not the best at reading into these sort of things

I was talking to one of my friends about sander sides, as one does and they knew exactly what I was talking about and we talked about how we thought the series is going to go.

This is not how it’s supposed to go, no one else is supposed to understand my niche interests and actually care about what I have to say about it. They are supposed to make fun of me for liking them and not know what I am talking about.

Ok so I was watching some sander sides episodes and when watching learning new things about ourselfs I noticed patton referred to virgil as “my child” and virgil gave patton a dad themed nickname and it just got me thinking, anxiety is an emotion, or atleast some form of emotion and patton is the embodiment of Thomas’s emotions what if similar to Roman and remus Patton and virgil were once one side but split which could explain the sort of father and child relationship that patton and virgil have. I could be wrong but I’m pretty sure patton has only called either Thomas or Virgil as kiddo. I’ve always noticed that Patton and virgil have a sort of different relationship compared to everyone else, they seem to understand each other more than the other sides and are able to notice when something is wrong about each other for example the accepting anxiety part 1, patton was the only one who noticed that virgil was missing from the group and noticed that something is wrong. Maybe it was patton hiding all his negative emotions that caused the spilt in the first place, not too sure about this one or why fear would be considered different from the other negative emotions.

This might not have any weight at all I’m just yapping but this has made me consider their relationship differently.

Ok so I want to clarify some things i mentioned in this post cause it’s basically just me rambling.

Ok so firstly i don’t think patton and virgil were once one side, I think that virgil was spilt off from patton.

Secondly my main point is that virgil is literally patton’s son like how Roman and remus are brothers.

And while I was thinking about what to write I thought of another piece of evidence, in the first episode Logan says to patton “you’re a father” which I feel like wouldn’t make sense if patton was just acting as a dad and why would Logan play along anyways.

If I had a nickel for every time I fell in love with a supercomputer AI with a complex relationship with humans who has killed a bunch of humans and who is the villian is their respective stories, I would have 2 nickels which isn’t a lot but it’s weird that it happened twice

Maybe I’m too autistic or aroace for this, but I never understood how Orpheus turning around is love, when I feel like trusting that she was behind you would be more of an act of love (for context I’ve only seen hadestown) like nothing gave Orpheus the indication that something bad happened to Eurydice and she was singing with him, did he not believe it?
