Lungs, muscles, bones, almost all internal organs have been upgraded, made better and yet looking at them you would never even suspect it. The Mole is Federation issued, quite literally. They have spent all their life on Hyteck as a blueprint for untested procedures. A glorified guinea pig for scientists to experiment on. Technically, according to the Federation logs - The Mole does no exist.

Their ordinary looks combined with Federation training makes the Mole a perfect spy. ‘Aces’ supposed ties with the Uprising managed to do what the crew feared the most – catch the attention of the Federation.

This is the first time The Mole has stepped outside the medical facilities of Hyteck. It’s their test run. And they intend to deliver.

THE CAPTAIN: Portrayed by Chris Evans. Pritchard, Connor: 37 years old.

The Captain took leadership of Aces five years ago, but he's been groomed for it most of his life. They barely have memories that don't take place on the board of Aces - first drink, first fight, first kiss.

This ship is his home and his pride, and Connor would go above and beyond to make sure Aces keeps flying. Connor is no fan of the Federation, and as far as he's concerned the Uprising are a bunch of fools. Fools he sometimes does favors for if the payday is good. Smuggling weapons, rebels or pulling rescue missions. He's in it for the Credits.

The old Captain left the ship six months ago with no word on when he's coming back. Connor isn't about to let the crew know how much the radio silence worries him.

The First Mate spent most of their life on Aces, alongside their mother. They were pulling jobs when they were fifteen and know more about the ship than most of its passengers. Even the Captain.

Being the right-hand means handling the ship when the Captain is not on board and sometimes when he is. The First Mate is not afraid to call people on their bullshit and if need be to set them straight on how things are run around the ship.

Combined they've spent about ten years not on the board of Aces.

The First Mate has family members living on a border moon.

The Con Artist is a swindler, a cheat, and a liar. They generally have some scheme going at all the time. Master of deception and disguise The Con Artist can be charming, ingratiating, seductive and deadly.

Whatever name they are using at the time it’s very likely not their own. The Con Artist can forge anything - from money to documents and they will—for a price.

Their valuable and often times surprising contacts have saved the crew more times than he can count. That's why the crew often times turn a blind eye when The Con Artists asks them to dock on a certain planet with little to no information.

Against their better judgment, in the short time they've worked with the crew, The Con Artists has developed certain...attatchment to Aces. It's not in their nature to let themselves be swayed by affection, yet here they are.

The Mercenary had a promising military career, only to be dishonorably discharged at the very start of it. Their family never spoke to them again after they left the Core.

They have two Augmentations. A cybernetic arm and leg that still hurt and they have to take pain medication to go through the day. When that’s not available they drench the pain in liquor.

The Mercenary's sense of humor is often times inappropriate, if not offensive. Admittedly they have some rough edges and their social skills can stand to be improved.

The Addict grew up on Persephone. Their mother died when they were young. Medicine on Persephone was a luxury that only people with enough credits could afford. After that, they were sold to a mercenary group called the Order C and trained alongside their recruits.

Crossing paths on a job with the crew of Aces, the Addict was offered a spot on their ship. They took it, going rogue on the Order.

The Addict wants to keep their addiction under wraps. It’s especially hard when the ship goes weeks without docking anywhere. The Addict is convinced they can be fully functional and the drugs are not impairing their performance.

They are looking for redemption. The Atoner sees Aces as a chance to make up for the sins of their past.

The Atoner is dying. They have known for three years now and have chosen to keep their condition a secret from the rest of the crew. The Atoner wants to make what time they have left count.

The Mechanic grew around ships. They inherited the job from their mother. By the time The Mechanic was thirteen they’ve been on the board of a ship more often than they’ve stepped on land.

Aces is their home. For someone who never settled on one ship for too long, Aces has been a permanent stop. The Mechanic is the only crewmate that doesn’t share a bunk with the rest. They sleep in the engine area by choice and because it’s convenient to just be around in case something goes awry. They take any offense against the ship very personally.

The Mechanic has a phobia of dry land. The first time they set foot outside the sturdy metal of a ship or an interplanetary station they had a panic attack.

The Medic is the person that stitches the crew once they are back on board. They rarely bring the Medic on jobs because they have literally no poker face and zero bullshit tolerance.

Being one of the few people on board that has their head on screwed the right way The Medic worries about the future of the crew every time they step out. They've got a funny way of showing it, however. Tough love doesn't even begin to cover it.

The Infirmary is arguably one of the cleanest places on "Aces...", and it’s a small miracle it’s kept that way. No one dares to make a mess there, that is a lesson each member of the crew learns the hard way.

The Medic used to be religious. There’s a picture in the Infirmary of a little girl that the crew has learned not to ask questions about, but they know the Medic doesn't have a daughter.

The Rookie is the newest addition to the crew. Or as they like to refer to them – Murphy. Get it, The Murphy Law? If something can go wrong, then my oh my it will. Especially around the Rookie.They come from the Fringe, raised in a standard issue Terraforming colony - overcrowded, underfunded and ignored by the Core Government.

The Rookie is eager to help and desperate to prove that they have something valuable to give to the team. What is that remains a mystery, however.

The Rookie sends most of their cut back home paying off some debts that they have left behind. With no concept of personal privacy, the Rookie often tests the patience on those around them, but no one stays mad at them for too long. It's like kicking a puppy.

Like any other roleplay, this one won’t tick properly without some plotting. So here comes you, the dear and near to my heart player. Let’s see what's in your head, shall we? This is the time where I ask you – Hey, what do you really, really want to do here? And in turn, you come up with three plot bunnies, post them up and voila we have a discussion, people are now contacting you and asking to play.

These plot bunnies could be from relationships to actual plots.

What do I mean?

Example.

On their last job on Persephone The Captain came in possession of an item that carries a great deal of meaning for ______ and they want it, now the only thing they have to do is figure out how to get it without hinting about just how much does this object mean to them.

With ______’s help, Connor finds out information about his father.______is able to track down the address where Jim’s Helion was activated for the last time. Much to their dismay, it’s nowhere near Gamma Mu.

Connor’s father started molding him into what he is now at a very tender age, he’s aware that sooner or later he’ll have to pass the reigns onto someone and ______ has been something of a protégé, which means Connor is twice as harsh and strict with him.

Aces might be an escape from the past for some, a bright new future for others or simply just everything you ever knew because you were born on that sorry piece of metal floating in the sky. How about that, huh?

It’s old, yeah. But it’s one of the best ships out there, don’t let the age and the looks fool you.

Aces has some heart and a fine crew to take care of the old wreck.

Okay, you can call them mercenaries, hired guns, you can call them the scum of space, scavengers. But here’s the thing. You’ll still look for them when you need a job done and done well. Because they have the best reputation…okay, that’s not exactly true, but they come cheap.
