was thinking about ichiro’s cycle with kuukou, like what is it exactly, and i think it rly is defined by kuukou always coming to him, kuukou came to bukuro and came to fight ichiro, which kicked off their relationship in the first place, kuukou used to come find ichiro throughout his day and it was on one such occurrence that kuukou gave ichiro his hypnosis mic. what marked the end of their relationship was kuukou leaving and ichiro not going after him
and so you have kuukou in the movie rushing right over to ichiro to fight, which i think restarts the cycle all over again and the endings present the ways in which their relationship could go: the bb win where kuukou leaves and ichiro watches him go, choosing not to follow, and the cycle repeats (while maybe marking an end of something btwn them tho) or the bat win where ichiro breaks the cycle in reaching out to kuukou choosing to stay with with him (and creating a new dynamic btwn them)
jiro says saburo isn't cute and sora once told hitoya he thinks needy little bros would be cuter (of which hitoya was not lmao) and that's why i think jiro would remind hitoya of his big bro if they hung out more lol
ichiro is a big believer in family shouldn’t fight and while i have #theories lol on the root cause of that, we do see that rei and ichiro had a big disagreement that caused them to leave each other and the rift it’s created btwn them
what i think is rly tragic tho is bc of this, ichiro’s come to think the strength of his bonds is dependent on how much the other person agrees with him. he’s usually shown trying to get samatoki to agree with him, he’s stubbornly keeping his father at arms length, he blew up at jiro and saburo the moment they came to a different conclusion than he did and it’s one of ichiro’s unhealthiest coping responses to his various traumas

This is that list translated into English for ease of reading. All credit for the massive amount of work involved goes to lily_hpmy, who posts quite a lot of other funny Hypmic content. Please give them a follow! Also, please do not use this post as a jumping off point to harass them or overwhelm them with complex English-language comments. I do not know if they would be comfortable with a random surge of attention from non-Japanese accounts.
The author of this list categorized the list by subject matter (food and drinks, people, places, and miscellaneous) and expression used (can't stand, dislikes, rubs the wrong way, is inexcusable). Because I can't make a table on Tumblr, I've collapsed this into four lists ordered by expression used.
Items that appear more than once are bolded. Occasionally, Hitoya uses different wording to refer to the same thing. When the meanings are functionally identical, list items may appear to be featured twice. Other duplicate items contain footnotes if a meaningful (or just amusing) distinction exists.
I'm writing everything in fairly clinical tones, but Hitoya sounds annoyed as all get-out a good 50% of the time. Determining when to mentally insert the word "fucking" is an exercise left to the reader.

so, i made a zine about that thing i’ve been really getting into for the past 3 months.
unlike general hypmic explainers, this zine doesn’t really get into concrete spoilers or general details on the setting and story; this is more of an overview of what drew me into the franchise (and how those same things could get you into it too).
it’s a pay-what-you-want one-page zine layout, so you can print it and pass it out to that special someone you’re also trying to convince. overall goal is just to get as much people as possible into checking this thing out.
