After reading this line it clicked. What makes the song of Achilles even more sad is that for the first time reading it it’s a romance. The second time it’s tragic because u know the ending. But this time it’s even more devastating because it’s not even about them living up to the point of death. It’s just Patroclus remembering it all. Remembering Achilles. Every detail about him. Because even in death he would know him.
