First I had the pleasure of seeing Mimi as young Elsa! Her young Elsa is kinda sassy and childish and I love it. Her mannerisms are a lot more childlike and you get more glimpses of her loving her magic. She sounds much younger and not perfect. Like when Anna goes to touch her and hand her the snowman she kinda jumps like a child flails and runs, rather than trying not to look at her directly and keepin her conceal don’t feel mode. She’s less like Caissie and more like a child which I like! So yeah
CAISSIE. I HAD THE PERFECT SPOT FOR DTD AND SHE BROKE ME. NOT OK. She is so perfect. The first verse the clear pain and weight of the expectations is extremely present And then Anna comes on And that totally disappears When she’s singing to Patti. ALSO when Pattis in the kneeling pose On “pantomime and pageantry “ she’s in the same pose! And when she’s saying father now what do i do- she’s still laughing! Her joy still radiates. It’s a masterclass in every feeling in one song. DTD is my favorite Elsa moment in the show. Her heartache on I would love to know you made me sob. She got so much applause after and didn’t stop looking at patti once during it.
Ok so her next thing was the cool freezing the stage montage
It was so interesting watching her get more and more freaked out and trying to get away from the ice Until she finally just collapses. Then let it go happened AND SHE DID THAT. And it is so interesting how easy she makes it looks. It really does pay off the millions of hours she’s spent it really does seem like she’s just talking Like she doesn’t know she’s singing until the dress change. Also as the blackout I saw her turn and swish her back cape of her dress dramatically to exit. You know monster was infreakingcredible! It was cool seeing the shadows of the guys coming And her reaction. ALSO THE ORCHESTRATIONS- YOU CAN LITERALLY HEAR THE BEAT OF HER HEART IN THE DRUM. For example MOTHER (beat beat)… I barely saw her face after Anna freezes cause I was crying let’s be real thats a mood.
PATTI! Such a delight And so full of joy! FTIF was so exuberant! She looked so breathtaking in DTD and wow the look on her face when Queen annointed comes in during DTD at Caissie is the most beautiful look of awe and wonder i’ve ever seen. I had a great view of her during her first scene wth hans on the ice car. Loved this moment: K:” Do you like cold drinks?” A&H: (perfect unison) very much! Anna (basically mouths, very quiet, while kristoff is ranting) something like I think it was “oh my god you like cold drinks too we have so much in common” she’s so in love with him from first sight.
Side note: WHY DOES JOHN ALWAYS LOOK AROUND LIKE HE IS A LOST CHILD

Every time he says something he gives a look like wow I can’t believe that worked
The shock on his face when Anna says you can say to both of us And she comes back to him. It doesn’t foreshadow though it’s like WOW SHES REALLY IN LOVE WITH I notice during hans 2 even the first time in “the kingdom responds” he’s like oh shit I didn’t think that would actually work That meme that’s like “ I hadn’t planned on getting this far”
Also you get glimpses of how much she’s really falling in love with kristoff early too. The very end of WDYKAL and During hygge she’s trying to cheer him up
Every once in a while she’ll just give him the same looks she’ll give to hans. She’s just living even though she’s on the mission with him.

AND HERE WE GO INTO THE SECTION OF PATTI MURIN CAUSES ALLY TO SOB HYSTERICALLY
She’s so fun to watch during fixer upper. She’s not really freezing yet until the end- right before monster happens, she faints BECAUSE ELSA’S MAGIC IS NOW LINKED TO HER. THAT’S WHY SHE FREEZES JUST AS ELSA GIVES UP. THATS WHY SHE DECLINES SO RAPIDLY AS ELSA SWIRLS DURING COLDER BY THE MIN. She was so weak coming in for true love and usually you see her smile when john comes in to “kiss her”. However, I noticed last night she looked even more concerned when he came in- like she knew something wasn’t right. She has good instincts. When he didnt immediately look at her eyes i heard her go “Hans?” softly then “Hans you have to kiss me”. Her heartbreak at the reveal was so well acted JESUS PATTI and then her look of absolute HORROR,sadness, sickness, and grief when he put the ring on her and her absolute *distress* that she’s too weak to move and she has the ring on before she gathers her strength for true love.
Have you ever noticed how much Anna values everyone else’s life more than her own. I noticed this when she told Olaf to leave the fire out . She’d freeze to death before she’d kill a snowman with feelings. She doesn’t hesitate to risk her life for kristoff on the bridge, she doesn’t hesitate before literally dying for Elsa. We don’t address this enough- the power of her love and bravery saves the day for everyone. Like when olaf says “love is putting someone else’s…” he obviously has to transition her to the realization that kristoff loves her. But i wish he’d remark how she’d already done that.
And then finale happened! Colder looks so cool up close wow i was shook. And the finale on the finale here we stand they literally looked at each other and touched noses my heart literally burst. Also on “show us what you can do” theyre holding both hands and anna steps out from her like shes showing her off like patti and caissie did in that red carpet shot its so cute! I died. And then caissie extended back to her when she affirmed that annas the magic one
And in the end everyone was so full of joy and i was covered in the snow confetti and was literally this gif
