Mamma Mia! (2008) dir. Phyllida Lloyd

Why be the dancing queen when you can be the killer queen, gunpowder gelatine, dynamite with a laser beam, guaranteed to blow your mind
all human emotions can be found in either the mamma mia soundtrack or hozier’s album
Friends would have been better if Chandler and Joey ended up together. Like it’s Chandler and Joey, their lesbian neighbors Monica and Rachel, and their wacky friend Phoebe.

i am an idiot sometimes but sometimes i am an idiot to be funny you know? for the joke. and i want people to know the difference. sometimes my actions are purposeful. sometimes i think. i want you to know that. even when i am just being a regular idiot i choose to say things knowing i am an idiot. i am the chooser of my own fate. i am the god of my own reality.
spring awakening and bare: a pop opera both deal with similar issues (teen pregnancy, homosexuality, etc) and how it affects teenagers. spring awakening is even the more extreme of the two because of how it features rape and abuse.
but spring awakening is more popular than bare: a pop opera and in this essay i will explore why
my theory is that this is because spring awakening obviously takes place in the past. audiences uncomfortable with it can be like “this doesnt happen anymore! societys so much more advanced!”
while with bare, it takes place in a contemporary time period (it came out in the late 90s but it can still be modern) so audiences cant just pretend these things dont still happen
theres also the fact that bare: a pop opera also calls out religion’s views on homosexuality in a way that isn’t satirical (which audiences react better to)
“Why does Tumblr romanticize Hades so much?”
Idk Clarice, maybe we’re just tired, and life is uncertain, and we like the idea of a stable husband with a steady job and a big dog and his own place away from all the loud, shapeshifting-kink party gods.
