“Acting allows me to feel things; it kind of buys me human experience. And I don’t mean this as acting is higher cause, because it’s not, but it does kind of have a higher awareness emotionally.” - Colin Farrell, b. May 31, 1976

In real life, we’re told to shut down, to never show all of our feelings but with acting, you’re forced to get to the bottom of them. I’ve learned a lot about my flaws through becoming other characters.
“Life beats down and crushes the soul and art reminds you that you have one.”

America. They want someone to love, but they want someone to hate, and the haters always say. “Tonya, tell the truth!” There’s no such thing as truth.

“The actor has to develop his body. The actor has to work on his voice. But the most important thing the actor has to work on is his mind.””

Random Acting Tip
It’s so important to know that acting is less about the accuracy of lines and more about emotions and reacting within the context. If someone you’re acting with forgets a part of a line, and you have a line that directly responds to that part of a line, don’t say it. I cannot stress this enough. Not only does it look unnatural and nonsensical, but it also reminds your partner that they’ve forgotten a line, it takes them out of the moment. In order for a scene to go on, the scene must go on. Don’t contribute to a scene possibly stopping because someone’s realizing they’ve forgotten a line. It’s so important to know that acting is much more about acting than knowing and saying lines.
That was absolutely fantastic. I loved it! You said Shakespeare. That’s right! That’s what I mean by ‘scare me’. Evil Hamlet scares people! Once Upon a Time... in Hollywood (2019) dir. Quentin Tarantino
