He had thought that after the culling game, after everything, Yuuji wouldâve been killed almost immediately. Had they hoped the job of other people would take out their problems? Is that why they didnât intervene and stop all the madness? Yuuji didnât even want to return back to the Jujutsu High campus, he wanted nothing more than to associate with people who have been trying to kill him since day one. But, he did. He did, because despite their fear he still had a job to do.Â
Thankfully, when he did return to the campus, he wasnât immediately executed. Instead, he was given the status as student again. His grade of sorcerer still confusing to him, as he didnât have a technique, and only used his cursed energy to move throughout the world of Jujutsu. He still had five fingers left to find, were they going to let him find them? And then kill him? Eventually, they were going to kill him, and he wasnât sure if he was looking forward to that or not.Â
He glanced up from his internal turmoil, and sees a familiar face. Honestly, he had thought the lawyer had died in the games, after they parted ways. Yuuji didnât count on seeing the man anywhere near his school campus, now standing with the same kind of status that Yuuji had, but more of teacher rather than student.Â
â   Higuruma-san?   â   he inquired, blinking a few times.   â   Yâyeah, itâs good to see you, too.   â   Really, Yuuji was glad, because here stood a man that held some kind of mercy toward him during his mission to ending the games.   â   Are you coming with on this mission?   â
â I am but... mind if we call them assignments? â Hiromi requested as he put his hands in his pockets. The lawyer wasnât a fan of the idea that heâs going on a âmissionâ, it made him feel like a chuuni with a lot of time on his hands, and that point of his lifeâs been gone for at least 20 years.
Higuruma gazed back at the boy, clearly puzzled by this whole, and honestly, who could blame him? Higuruma barely had a grasp on this whole situation as of right now, but he felt that, as the older one, he could at least try to reassure the other with the info he has. â Youâre probably wondering what Iâm doing here, huh? â
â Long story short: This is my sentence... â Hiromi stated bluntly, but knew that the other would need a bit more than that, hands still in the pockets of his pants as his tired gaze was kept upon the other. â Someone in your organization approached me because of my abilities, and assigned me to become a Jujutsu sorcerer, wasnât given much of a choice in the matter. Thatâs about as much as I know. â
Hiromi knows that there must be more to this, the whole process was too sloppy, too sudden, and if a society of Jujutsu Sorcerers been among normal people without drawing a peep of rumor, then they would be much more careful.Â
Yes... thereâs definitely something...
The former lawyer shook these thoughts away, at least for now, if heâs to become a Sorcerer, then he needs to gather as much info as he could, and it seems that the boy beside him could give him some light.
âBy the way, Itadori-san... since Iâm new at this, mind if I asked a few questions? Donât worry, itâs just basic stuff. â Higuruma pulled a small notebook out of his pocket filled with many many overly detailed questions.Â
â Whatâs our gross income? Do we take vacations? How do curses fit within the Japanese Justice System? Do we have established offices across Japan? Is Jujutsu Organization taxed? If so, how much are they paying? If a sorcerer is caught by the police, whatâs the standard procedure and the procedure during extraordinary circumstances? If weâre hurt during our work hours-â
Hiromi just... kept going over all the questions, without any sign that he might stop., a side of him was enjoying messing with the kid, and the male didnât intend to stop until someone forced him to.
