That adhd feel when you try and explain that there are other effects like a poor sense time of time and noone believes you because apparently adhds only effect is hyperactivity and OH LOOK A SQUIRREL
I didnt kno they had these
brow extensions
Okay but do you realize how good this is for cancer patients?? People with scars who can’t grow brows??? People with alopecia??? (Sp? ) like… pls stop hating the beauty industry.
people with trichotillomania
Yes to people with trich. One of my roommates reblogged this saying they didn’t even know they made these until they met me. And the sad thing is, I didn’t even know they made these until I did a Google search one night in a fit of desperation. I’ve gone to so many therapists for trich, and instead of providing me resources like this, they would often leverage the fear of looking ugly as motivation to stop. If anything, it only ever made the problem worse.
These save me so much time in the morning. Before I discovered them, I would have to meticulously pencil my brows on every day just to feel normal enough to leave the house. By contrast, I can keep the fake ones on for about three days at a time, and gluing them in place takes only a few minutes with a bit of practice.
I’ve been getting mine from headcovers.com for over three years now. They’re a bit pricier than the ones offered on other sites, but they last 3-4 months if taken care of properly (meaning to buy the site’s adhesive remover as well and clean them after each use). They also look very natural. Everyone who’s talked to me about them told me they didn’t even know my eyebrows were fake until I alluded to such or took them off in their presence.
This sounds like it could be quite useful for some of my readers!!
of course something ignorant was said about this product by the original tweet poster, but
reblogging for the false eyebrow site^^ really thinking about purchasing some.
Going bald during chemo didn’t bother me nearly as much as losing my brows. I’m not sure if it was because I had adorable wigs or just because I was prepared for that part, but nobody tells you how much the color, thickness, and shape of your brows affects your face.
I didn’t even know eyebrow extensions were a thing. Reblogging for my followers with trich and alopecia
the shitty thing about depression/anxiety is the fact that you live with it so long and so much that you forget how insidious it actually is. When you can’t do something and you think it’s because you’re lazy and unmotivated and then you have an up day and you get so much stuff done and you don’t think about how it’s because you’re having an up day. That this is literally how people without mental illness function
ok but the worst part is OTHER people forgetting because theres a huge difference between calling yourself lazy and have someone by your side to remind you to take it easy because you are not 100% ok, and to have someone else call you lazy as well and make you feel even guiltier
How come every other organ in your body can get sick and you get sympathy, except your brain?

Reblogging the SHIT out of this.

that autism feel when you have hundreds of special interest-related tabs open and you have other things to do and your computer is getting slower and slower but you can’t stop
For Chrome and Firefox users, let me recommend One Tab! The extension will autosort your tabs—all of them, or just the ones you pick—into a neat organized list at the click of the button you can come back to later. It turns any number of tabs into one, and since it’s just one big links list, it significantly reduces memory use to help speed up your computer.
It’s got a lot of other neat features, too, but it works really well just to declutter! Definitely recommend it!
I would like to bring up an important point right now.
Autistics are literally forced to learn NT social skills, communication, and body language. Otherwise we will be openly discriminated against and mistreated. I was bullied so extensively when I was young that I cried myself to sleep until I learned how to pass as NT and the bullying effectively stopped.
But here’s the thing: we still have our own social skills, communication, and body language that is unique to autistics. Things like stimming, vocal repetition, and conveying meaning in an unusual way will still happen, particularly around people we can trust.
So if you have an autistic in your life, I want you to learn the same things they did. I want you to learn how to understand their unique social skills, communication, and body language. Learn how to read them as easily as you would an allistic. Return the favor. It’s the least you could do, and it will make the relationship easier for everyone.
Thank you, you may continue scrolling.
Tip to help with an anxiety attack
- Look around you. - Find 5 things you can see, 4 things you can touch, 3 things you can hear, 2 things you can smell and 1 thing you can taste.
This is called grounding. It can help when you feel like you have lost all control of your surroundings.
Please reblog, it could really help someone in need.
Cons of having ADHD
“why the fuck cant i sleep at night”
“shitfuck i changed the topic too fast because i thought about rocks and then coal and then trains and now the person im talking to is wondering if i’ve only been thinking of cargo puns while they were talking about important shit”
*rolls over at 3:28 am* “how do snails pee”
“ive read this sentence twenty fucking times and it still doesnt make sense this is so frustrati n g??>!?”

Is funny how many of these relate to me lmao
@ future girlfriend
damn this is too real.
Person: I’m depressed. Tumblr user: Says the white cis boy
Depression doesn’t give a flying fuck who you are, asshole.
This needs more notes.
Someone with a social anxiety disorder will never get tired of hearing you say:
“I’m here for/with you” “I like you” “I love you” “I value you as a person” “Your opinions matter to me” “I’ll go with you if it’s too scary” “No matter what your anxiety tells you I’m not going anywhere” “Your feelings are valid”
Especially when they’re anxious Especially when they’re anxious Especially when they’re anxious
Even if you’ve already said it. Say it again. And again. Please. Cause it may seem silly to someone without S.A.D., but it’s actually really reassuring to be reminded of having support even if we were just reminded last week, or last month, or yesterday. It’s important. Really important. Cause the anxiety will often lead us to feel alone, unloved, like the person might go away if we share our feelings, even when we know it’s not true. It’s a million times easier to be convinced by someone else than by our own anxious brains sometimes.
This has been a PSA.
Also don’t get annoyed when they need the reinsurance. They do believe you but their mind tricks them that what you said isn’t true when they truly know it is, they just can’t control it.
why is it so hard for people to believe and understand that, sometimes, mentally ill people will act mentally ill
tadhdfw in elementary school u hyperfocused on reading all the time + ur ability to absorb info made u get labelled as a "prodigy child" n then when u got older ur undiagnosed ADHD symptoms just meant u were "lazy, disorganised and difficult, not trying hard enough" bc it was suddenly inconvenient
Tfw you have to skip long text posts on tumblr because you can't bring yourself to read the walls of massive text!
Tbwfw you find out about executive dysfunction and you realize you aren't actually lazy.
