"What? No, I'm not looking for mermaids. How old do you think I am? 12?" She rolls her eyes a bit before looking into the depths of the Black Lake, once more lost in thought.

"I know these windows are sealed with magic and safe, but is the lake safe? Will it start to boil in these temperatures?" She starts biting a nail nervously.

*slides her gaze from the book in her lap to the student, then back*

If it does, then dinner will sorted for the next few weeks.

"Really, they should carve a sculpture of you. Do you know where you belong, darling? In a– what? Were you about to say "portrait"? The painting laughs mockingly.

"Please, don't make yourself look ridiculous. NO. You, my pretty, belong in a GAZEBO!"

I know one wizard who definitely belongs in a gazebo.
