Portrait of my buddy, Jared Polin aka Fro Knows Photo in San Francisco, a few years ago when we were teaching a Boot Camp.  

I met Jared shortly after he launched FroKnowsPhoto.com.  We became fast friends, and despite our busy schedules, we always find time to check in and catch up every day.  

I'm so grateful for the amazing experiences and opportunities I've had and continue to foster thru working with Jared.  Traveling around the globe for Boot Camps, @photokina in Germany, touring Israel with @Kinetis,  contributing to the FKP website, helping create the Beginner Flash Guide, launching BrooklynPhotoWorks.com and we're working on all kinds of great new stuff for 2015!

Nobody I know works harder than Jared and I'm always inspired by his tenacity and devotion.  I've learned that if you set goals and work hard, it won't necessarily be easy, but the rewards are far greater than you can imagine.  Ok, now back to work!

The week before the Fourth of July, I set out on a motorcycle tour with a couple buddies, all on vintage BMW's.  Our plan was to head up thru the NorthEast to the Ferry in Portland, ME, sail to Yarmouth, NS and head up from there.  Thankfully, we didn't have much of an agenda other that making that ferry and ultimately arriving in Londonderry, VT 6 days later.  We hit some incredible roads and scenery that was pretty mind-blowing.  Had a bunch of break-downs, all of which we were able to fix with some ingenuity and the help of some good friends along the way.  Rode thru some insane weather, got super drenched, drank good beer, ate bad food and smiled the whole way.  I'm just unpacking the images, but this one sums up how we felt when we made it to VT.
