Thanks to you and everyone else in our community, together we created holiday magic on Saturday, December 3rd. The scene at Midwest Performance Cars (@mpcars) started off quiet and really cold. But it built up to have the blocks surrounding Fulton filled with cars. And those car owners loaded up the MPC shop truck with toys for the Marine Toys For Tots Foundation. (@marinetoysfortotsfoundation) MPC’s leader Andy Bizub wowed the full house inside his shop with his heartfelt introduction for our friends at Crushers Club (@englewoodcrushers). For the second year in a row, Checkeditout (@CheckeditoutChicago) has presented its chosen charity with their well deserved funds as part of this event. A new record of $11,000 was raised by the car community, Checkeditout and all the Checkeditout sponsors and donors. For the third time, Dan Cubric created a fun route for our trip to Burdi Clothing Hinsdale. Though it was hard to keep the cars together, everyone arrived at Burdi in style. Dan also did double duty, lending his Checkeditout design expertise to the car staging on Hinsdale Ave in front of Burdi. And what a display it was. Days later, photos are still rolling out of the array of McLaren F1s Mouse Motors (@mouse_motors) graced this event with. Portions of our record amount of toys have reached the Marines and to put it simply, they are really impressed with your efforts. Job well done, great time had by all, thank you for braving that harsh cold, and thank you for respecting your cold, hard tires!
