hi :) I probably should’ve made this when I first made this account, but I honestly didn’t think any of my posts would be seen by anyone! so thats crazy

I used to have a decade plus old tumblr blog that I unfortunately accidentally deleted while trying to get rid of a side blog on it so. that was fun. but it was mostly because I wanted to revamp and start posting rambles about dc comics (mainly jason todd) after years of having not touched the account so thats what led to this creation

a few notes about what you might find in this tumblr

I have ADHD and I go through hyper-fixations quite often, current one being jason, and will most likely have a variety of unrelated fandoms being reblogged onto here

I can be very batman & tim drake critical so if thats not what you’d like to see, which is totally cool, this probably won’t be the place for you!

I don’t know how active I’ll be on here, but it may not be much bc I still get sad every time I remember all the stuff I lost from my old tumblr 😭 truly painful

I try and tag everything according to whats the easiest way for me to find stuff through my archives, but if there’s a trigger of yours I’m not tagging just shoot me a message and I will!

It’s so funny how random grown adults are always spilling their deepest darkest thoughts to Sansa…Sandor tells her what Gregor did to him after knowing her for like 5 minutes, Cersei gives her a speech about marriage that’s clearly a reflection of her own experiences with Robert, Petyr tells her about his various evil schemes that have thrown the realm into turmoil, Lysa confesses to multiple murders in front of her. She could be a female Varys if she really wanted to.

I'm being a hater but I think one reason so many fixit fics bug me is because the authors don't buy into the characters belief systems because they're not actually interested in it and don't care to try. But also. Even when people do, they don't seem to have any personal experience with (or ability to empathetically learn about) changing a deep rooted belief system and so don't actually know how to write it out. Like sorry but no they would not Simply Realize the fucking answer. Because the problem was never that they were Just Too Stubborn or not smart enough or not good enough or anything else.

FOR REAL. There is nothing worse than getting obsessed with a complicated tragic character, going to ao3, and finding that 90% of fixits for them fail to engage with the core of their character so utterly that it feels less "What if things worked out for this character somehow" and more "What if this character was a different person, the kind who could be saved". I wanted to see things get fixed for Blorbo, not for this character who shares their name and a few superficial traits but none of their load-bearing issues. Heartbreaking!!!!!!!!

One of the funniest things about DC comics to me is the way that Jason Todd just won't stop fucking playing dress up. Every two issues he's in some bullshit disguise or somebody else's clothes and it's INSANE. Robin costume Nightwing costume a secret third costume he made up to wear for one issue and then pretended wasn't him, it just doesn't stop! and NOBODY ELSE in the verse is doing this for the sake of it like it's ONLY HIM! what's his problem.

jason's reconciliation with batfam always has: all his 'wrongdoings' being brought up, most of bruce's being brought up, some of fanon dick's being brought up, and absolutely none of what tim and alfred canonically did being brought up. but somehow those two are always the ones to make jason feel horrible for his past deeds while guilt tripping him into rejoining the bats and becoming tim's protective older brother

unfinished thought but I don’t wanna forget: jason being offered a star sapphire ring when he tries to cover sheila from the blast, it feels like time has stopped and he’s barely able to mumble out the word ‘yes’ thinking maybe it can help save them before the bomb goes off and when he resurrects he still has it on and/or it comes back to him

obviously ignore the part where I’d have to figure out how the ring escapes bruce’s notice

also if we subscribe to the belief that jason WASN’T given an autopsy AND we believe that lantern rings have some sort of healing propriety then slow, but steady healing from the ring could have left jason in an in between state of life and death and ultimately the reason behind his resurrection

We were living a pretty good life, you know? Peaceful, loving, and full of life. But then, we found ourselves in a really tough spot. Hunger, fear, and terror have become our new normal. My kids and I, along with my extended family, are struggling to make ends meet. We don't have the basic necessities of life, and our living situation is pretty rough. We're in these old, falling-apart tents. It's so hard to know what to do when winter comes. We'll be soaked in the rain and wind, and I'll be at a loss as to how to keep my family safe, from the bombing and from the winter.🥹
