Hello! My name’s Sumire, Sumi for short, female pronouns please–I also go by Kaerene/Kae. I run a huuuuuuge amount of blogs, meaning I will not be on here very often, but I will write here when I can and when the muse allows for it!

To keep my dashboard organized and to maintain a comfortable environment for myself: I am a private blog, meaning I will only interact with those who I follow mutually. Please respect this.

Vyn is a kind person, but he’s also VERY prone to speaking very bluntly and at times coldly, particularly when he feels heated. He also tends to talk down to people when both irate as well as set off. Please do not mistake his opinions for my own. Muse does not equal mun.

I don’t mind shipping, but it is not a priority on this blog. I would rather explore his dynamics with people and interactions, but in the event that it comes up: I strictly ship chemistry and prefer to have communication with the mundane before even entertaining that idea. This blog will be likely be ship exclusive, meaning I will only ship with one version of a character.

I don’t mind doing pre-established relationships either, I honestly welcome them as they help the writing flow–But this MUST be properly and thoroughly discussed, as well as fleshed out. I also want to make it very explicit that while I do ship Rosa(protagonist)/Vyn, I will not automatically have him being taken to your muse even if they take the place of the protagonist. These things must be built up. Do keep in mind however I do have a main Rosa to ship with, it is @pseudomonacarriea.

I will not accept verses/inserts of your muse into the role of Rosa, as she is very much her own well-fleshed out character.

My headcanons are for my own personal use, please do not reblog them or modify them. If I notice that my work has been stolen, I will block without warning.

I don’t mind being followed by personals, but mind your manners here. Mass liking my posts or reblogging my threads/headcanons/etc will get you blocked faster than you can roll the Gacha with a free 10 roll on hand.

Due to a multitude of bad experiences with it: I WILL BE INCREDIBLY PICKY ABOUT WHO I INTERACT WITH/FOLLOW FROM THE GENSHIN RPC.

I will refer to Vyn by his English name generally, as I felt it matched up well in the localization given his real name. However, I will usually refer to Artem and Marius as ‘Sakyo’ and ‘Kei’ respectively. This is a matter of preference, please respect that.

I am more or less caught up with the content of Tears of Themis, and have played a myriad of other MiHoYo games–So I will be implementing some of their elements both into my usual portrayal, but also in my verses.

I am happy to take constructive criticism when I ask for it, but please do not try to tell me how to write my own muse. At the end of the day I am here to have fun and write, not unwantedly lectured. Thank you.

Have decided that Vyn’s feelings for Rosa will just constantly be a thing, we have plenty of canon evidence that his obsession infatuation is just canonic fact at this point?? It’s just that whether or not ship happens will be determined by more or less one factor: Can this man get over himself? Because he’s pretty blatantly arrogant and sees himself above people, and much like how it was strongly implied and paralleled in Chapter 4 of his story: Vyn sees Rosa on the grounds of someone similar to ‘Christine” in P.//hantom of the Opera.

TL;DR: Relationship happening depends on whether Vyn becomes more conscious and considerate of Rosa’s feelings rather than just thinking he knows best for everyone.

Tohru had surrounded herself by people immersed in their work, though she didn’t think it was a conscious decision. She herself often got hooked into whatever case she was involved in, occasionally (or often) to the detriment of other things. Such as her sleep. But compared to men like Dr Richter….Well, he was on a whole other level - not that she ought to compare such things.

Still, though it wasn’t her place to feel concerned, she did hope he tried to schedule in some rest and relaxation. He always seemed on the go, even if he said otherwise. Plus, on a little more selfish note, Tohru liked to spend time with him when an investigation wasn’t on going. He was easy to speak to, and despite what she had initially believed, he was quite easy to relax around. 

Hence her invitation. She wasn’t sure if he was going to be able to make it, but a trip to the botanical gardens had been on her list for some time now. She didn’t want to go around on her own, and hoped it was something Vyn would enjoy. Alongside a new tropical exhibition, Tohru had heard there was a small market set up in one of the open outdoor spaces. Nothing exciting or major, but a few food and craft stores to raise money for the botanical and charity.

For some reason, despite having known him for some time now, Tohru had still felt a fluttering at the thought of meeting up with Dr Richter, alone. But excitement and happiness were her main emotions, and she was certain the gardens would be as interesting as she imagined. She arrived before their designated meeting time, and anxiously awaited some sign of him. She knew he could get called away at any time for work (or other reasons, she was sure). If that was the case she wouldn’t be annoyed at him, but it would be hard not to be disappointed.

Glancing down at her phone, she flicked through her messages to make sure she hadn’t missed anything… quite oblivious to the world around her for a minute or two.

Good grief. You think that I would ever say no to you?

That was all he could think as he heard her go on in her invitation, how she’d quickly added that she would understand if he was unable to make it. Though he couldn’t help but find the fact she was fretting so much over the likes of him endearing, he made an effort to cut her short and assure her that he would be delighted to accompany her. A tropical exhibit for the botanical gardens....It would be something of a challenge, one he made the effort to do research on so that he can go into depth when pointing out certain specimens.

As he finally arrives, having uncompromisingly made a slot in his busy schedule though still keeping himself on call in the event an emergency should take place so that his staff can be talked through the process: He notes that she has arrived before he has, that she is checking her phone a little more than most might.

Are you thinking of me, I wonder?

“I must have kept you waiting.”

Vyn wears an apologetic smile and lacks his lab coat for the first time in some time, seeing as they have been both working more often than not as of late.

“As the one who was invited, I can’t apologize enough for my delay.”

Every day I think about how Chapter 4 of the personal stories really showed off a lot of Vyn’s bastardry, but also the end of Chapter 3

Vyn honestly dances on a line between being a bastard and being an an ally, though he edges dangerously towards being a bastard and I don’t ever want to take away from that. Yes, he cares for patients. Yes, he has strong empathetic ability. Yes, he goes out of his way for those who truly and genuinely seek help or really just are unable to obtain it without a little nudge from him.

However.

He is also incredibly selfish, he has displayed an immense amount of need to always be in control and pretty blatantly sees himself as being above others, and there are literal allusions and parallels between him and the Phantom of the Opera in his Chapter 4 story despite how he sneers at the character. Vyn is affable and willing to lend a hand to what is “right”, but I always hesitate in terms of calling him a ‘good person’.
