this pose specifically was when I had the most people come up and ask to take our photo during this shoot. people where honestly really nice about it which is saying a lot. most asked if we were doing promo for a movie which was a huge ego boost for my cosplay making abilities. I've got another set of this pose with some slight variations that i'll post at some point but I'm trying to be responsible and not spam all of them at once.

I have learned just how much I adore this pose ( yes obviously we didn't get it perfectly right but it is a great starting point and also hard to physically replicate in costume ). and yes I did go on an insane rabbit hole trying to understand where this specific painting comes from when we tried to do it for keyleth and Verin months ago .

the long and short of it is, yes it exists, its on the walls of the Neuschwanstein castle in Bavaria which the public can't take photos of and thus its super hard to get photos of and there very little written about it online. but I did spend an hour searching through Getty images to find and make sure the painting actually existed.

Lady Amber my Beloved.

I threw together a quick ( ish) amber for Wondercon this year because Robin Hobb was going to be there. having read these books for the first time when I was 12, I have been deeply obsessed for a very long time and am greatly enjoying the Robin Hobb-Renaissance she is currently experiencing.

Beloved is a character who has been with me for so long, and getting to cosplay them in their various faces brings me such joy. Amber was a special treat and I can't wait to have more photos and a more personalized cosplay for her.

I didn't wear Amber the same day as our Rote group bc I wanted to wear my fool. so I will have to bring her back for a liveship traders shoot at some point. l my partner made the most beautiful Malta

Brennan’s NPC game is always on point but he’s done such a fantastic job with Lady Aranessa.

Somehow she’s perfectly balancing the idea of “fine lady of a noble house of Fairie” with “the woman that would fall in love with war hero and known troublemaker Thjazi Fang” AND “just lost her whole family to a Games of Thrones-esque horror show betrayal ”.

Like yes she’s polite and kind, but she also bit a ghoul to free herself after watching a young man be brutally murdered five feet from her. She’s willing to jump off a cliff if a Druid meeting goes bad, but still mourns the opportunity to sleep in a big fancy bed. She can summon flower petals at will and then rubs them under her arms.

I’m obsessed with her. Thjazi Fang you were a LUCKY man.

in my head the next seekers arc will feature Julien giving Occtis flirting advice (he definitely clocked Pincushion spying on him + Ingrid) after noticing how affectionate Occtis seems to be getting with Thimble + whatever situationship Occtis has with Kattigan. and then maybe Occtis is successful at it. (and maybe Julien gets a little jealous, if you like Occtien / Knightingale )
