Back to traditional for a little bit, this is the result of the 21 draw lesson "the snowmen", from "Learn to Draw in 21 days S2".

Mark mentioned a musical trio at the beginning of the lesson and I thought it would make the drawing a lot more fun if the snowmen were actually playing instruments. So here they are, the musical snowmen.

Note: they look cheerful, but the music playing in my head for this was the [Solo leveling]SymphonicSuite-Lv.8. If you've watched the first season, you'll know what I mean by statues holding musical instruments 🙉🙈🙊

Made this little dragon for a palette challenge (hosted by shrimp_nation_art on instagram)

I'm very happy with the result, since I'm not really used to working on digital pieces, nor with color.

Of course there were plenty of challenges with this one, but that just made it more fun :).

Seems like there's a huge theme around snow on season 2.

Snowman? sure! Abominable?? Hmm, maybe just a little bit, before having his morning coffee.

Note: this is their favorite mug to bring to each other. Maybe because their in-law is truly abominable :P

Space Kitties

Who can resist some cute cats? I know I can't! And it seems like neither can the aliens 👽

But what are these kitties doing in space though? What is the Space Kitties (SK) agency?? Hmmmm. I smell a catspiration theory😼

Penguins can fly!

*Quaaaaack????* - "Look, look! A flying penguin!" - "A what?" - "ohhhh....I wanna fly too!"

Turns out even penguins can fly. And the reaction of the onlookers diverge, but here you have it: a flying penguin. Hope he knows how to land safely 😁

Cockatiel Zoomies

Have you ever seen a cokatiel having the zoomies? No? Well, the best way I can describe it is: Imagine a bird flying around as if they are a fighter plane straight out of Top Gun!

The point of this 21draw lesson was just to draw the woosh clouds, but I felt like the page would be missing something if I just drew the clouds. That's when I looked at my cockatiel and the idea struck me!🌩️💡She's the one who's always whooshing around when she's got the zoomies. So here you have my flying daredevil : Becas

The Toucan

The challenge of this 21Draw lesson was to draw a Toucan. Mind you, my toucan is slightly special, because he's got some feathers sticking up on his head, rather than the usual slick toucan look. Maybe he wanted to try a new style to impress the ladies, or maybe he just wants to make friends with a cockatoo or a cockatiel, which are (in)famous for their head floof.

Either way, here is my friendly toucan. (Maybe I'll be brave enough to try and color him one day 🌈)

O desafio desta lição do 21Draw era desenhar um tucano. Mas, o meu pequeno tucano é ligeiramente especial, porque tem uma penugem no topo cabeça, em vez do habitual look extra liso dos tucanos.

Talvez ele esteja a experimentar um novo look, para impressionar as damas, ou talvez quisesse fazer amizade com uma catatua ou uma caturra, que são bastante famosas pelas suas poupas.

Sem mais demora, aqui está o meu tucanito (quem sabe, talvez um dia me encha de coragem e lhe dê alguma cor🌈)

The Owl / Mocho/ Coruja

Today's drawing comes from lesson 4 of "Learn to Draw in 21 Days" S2: the Textured Owl.

The lesson proposed that we draw an owl with a bunch of texture for the feathers. As usual, I didn't really draw the subject as proposed on the course (guess I'm a bit of a rebel 🙈😅) and rather followed my own gut and drew it in a different position and with a different style of feathers.

Can't decide if he's saying hi, or pointing to where we can find all the goodies in his forest. To which secret quest might he be leading us to?

O desenho de hoje vem da lição nr 4 do curso "Aprenda a desenhar em 21 dias" temporada 2 (da plataforma 21 draw). Nessa lição era proposto que desenhássemos um mocho/coruja (é melhor nem irmos por essa semântica em português, que haveria muito a dizer xD).

Como sempre, eu fiz o meu desenho de uma forma diferente: a pose é diferente e as penas também. Suponho que sou um pouco rebelde 🙈😅, mas basicamente segui os meus instintos.

Não consigo decidir se ele está a dizer olá, ou se está a apontar na direcção onde podemos encontrar os tesouros da floresta onde ele vive? Para que demanda secreta é que ele nos está a guiar?

Incandescent Lightbulb / Lâmpada Incandescente

The challenge from Lesson 2 of "Learn to Draw in 21 days" S2 was to draw a lightbulb.

I had never drawn a lit up lightbulb with this much detail (only the simple cartoonish kind, when a character has an idea), but I'm quite happy with how it turned out.

Now, one might think "meh, it's just a lightbulb. what's so great about that?" But, making a drawing like this gives me some foundations, should I want to incorporate an element like this into a future drawing.

O desafio da lição 2 da temporada 2 da série “Aprenda a desenhar em 21 dias” (da plataforma 21 draw) era desenhar uma lâmpada.

Nunca antes tinha desenhado uma lâmpada acesa com todos estes detalhes, apenas lâmpadas muito simplistas, para identificar quando um personagem tinha uma ideia (estilo cartoon), mas devo dizer que fiquei muito feliz com o resultado :).

Agora, uma pessoa pode pensar "mehhh, é só uma lâmpada. O que é que tem de especial?" Bem, para começar, treinei algo que nunca tinha feito, e segundo dá-me fundações para incoorporar elementos semelhantes em futuras ilustrações.

Espero que esta pequena lâmpada vos dê muitas ideias brilhantes 💡🔦🌞

Fabulous Fish

(PT follows EN)

Season 2 of the "Learn to Draw in 21 Days" series starts off with this idea of drawing a really happy looking fish.

But I thought to myself: Just one fish? and why is he supposed to be looking that happy? What's the reason behind it? Thus, the ideia came to me of changing the scene a litle bit and have him be a little excited instead, and adding a female companion for kicks 😁

So here we are, a couple of fish, experiencing l'amouuurrr. We could even call them les poissons de la passion 😏.

P.S: the thought just occurred me, I could also call this drawing something in the lines of: "what if Sanji was a fish?" (yes, One Piece reference :P)

A primeira lição da série 2 do curso “Aprenda a desenhar em 21 dias” (da plataforma 21 draw) chama-se "Peixe fabuloso" e a ideia era desenhar um só peixinho com um ar super feliz.

Mas eu pus-me a pensar: um peixinho só para um folha? E porque é que ele está assim tão feliz? Fica muito sozinho na página...e qual a razão por detrás de tanta felicidade? Então, surgiu-me a ideia de desenhar algo ligeiramente diferente. Em que, em vez de o peixe estar simplesmente feliz, estar um pouquinho mais para o excitado. E porquê? porque tem uma peixona toda sexy a flirtar com ele 😁

Portanto, aqui temos um par de peixes a flirtar. Podemos até chamar-lhes os peixinhos da paixão.😏

Digam-me o que acham acerca dos 🐟🐠🐡🎣

P.S.: Acabei também de me aperceber que o peixe apaixonado podia perfeitamente ser o Sanji em forma de peixe (sim, isto é uma referência ao One Piece :P)

The Dragon / O Dragão

(PT follows EN) The last lesson of Season 1 of the "Learn to Draw in 21 days" series was the dragon.

Now, I decided to draw the dragon not as proposed in the lesson, but more according to my own taste/style. After all, dragons are one of my favorite (mythical) creatures.

I don't know if you guys have ever seen the book on Dragonology, but it was given to me as a teenager and I never let it go, because it's so darn cool 🐲.

This drawing took me about 2-3 days to complete, until I was absolutely satisfied, but I'm quite happy with the result!🤩

Anyway, here is my Dragon, hope you like it too 😉

A última lição da temporada 1 de "Aprenda a desenhar em 21 dias" (da plataforma 21 draw) implicava desenhar um Dragão.

Eu decidi não desenhar o dragão exactamente como era proposto (que rebelde que eu sou 😸), mas sim mais ao meu gosto/estilo. Afinal de contas, dragões são das minhas criaturas (míticas) favoritas.

Não sei algum de vocês alguma vez viu o livro acerca de Dragonologia. É um livro já com bastante tempo - eu tenho o meu desde os meus tempos da adolescência - mas que é muito, muito fixe! Excelente para inspiração principalmente 🐲.

Em relação ao desenho, demorei uns bons 2-3 dias a acabá-lo, porque queria fazer jus a esta maravilhosa criatura. Mas devo dizer que fiquei bastante satisfeita com o resultado! 🤩.

Sem mais demoras, aqui está o meu Dragão! Espero que também gostem do meu dragãozinho😉

Human Eye / Olho Humano

The first artwork of this year was the penultimate lesson from Learn to Draw in 21days Season 1: The Human Eye.

Now truth be told, this was the quickest drawing for me, out of all in other series. Perhaps because I've always been fascinated by the eye, human, animal, realistic style, anime style, you name it. I remember keeping a small notebook where I drew a bunch of eyes- I think reptile's eyes are the coolest btw, with the myriad of shapes and colors available in nature.

O primeiro desenho deste ano foi a penultima lição da temporada 1 de "Aprenda a desenhar em 21 dias" (da plataforma 21 draw): O Olho Humano.

Sendo honesta, este foi o desenho mais rápido e fácil de toda a temporada desse curso. Talvez porque sempre tive um grande fascínio por olhos, sejam eles humanos, animais, em formato mais realista, formato anime, etc. Houve até uma altura em que enchi um pequeno caderninho com vários desenhos de olhos - adoro especialmente as cores e os vários formatos de olhos de répteis disponíveis na natureza. São super fascinantes!

E vocês? Também gostam de desenhar olhos? Bem, aqui está o meu. Espero quem gostem.

Hey everyone, this is probably the last artwork before the year 2024 comes to an end. And, funnily enough, the first one I’m posting here on tumblr. But you can find all my stuff in my deviantart profile, if you feel like dropping by and having a look ;).

It was a good year, where I got back into drawing a bit more regularly (maybe not as much as I wanted or could have, but it was still better than all the years before) and I had a lot of fun doing it! Most of it was thanks to the inspiration provided by the 21draw course “Learn to Draw in 21 days”, by Mark Kistler. If you’re struggling with your art, feeling self conscious about it somehow, or just stuck in terms of creativity, I definitely recommend it!! That man is a well of positivity and encouragement!

So, without further ado, I give you my interpretation of the glaciers and penguins lesson from the course 21 draw - learn to draw in 21 days by Mark Kistler

Happy New Year everyone!!! Don't be afraid to take a leap of faith if that helps you reach your dreams and objectives 😉
