it's part of a new wave of healthism! fascism and "wellness" have always been intertwined. healthism emphasizes both individual conceptions (and responsibilities) of health and the health of the body politic. the urgency of healthism ramps up in times of political crisis – hence the explosion of ~nervous system regulation~ and "polyvagal theory," ozempic, "pilates body," and even so-called leftists insisting it's your political duty to out-gym the fascists.
