HELLO!! so this is more like showing my process, but here’s how my drawings usually go :)

So usually i start with a lighter layer to establish a base tone, and then i gradually add shadows. If I mess up or highlights get lost in the marker, I’ll polish it up with colored pencil + gel pen. that’s really about it :)

I haven’t watched since the end of CR2, so maybe she got better at it over the last few years, but I do keep clocking Brennan being VERY clear with Ashley about the differences between narrative flavor and mechanical options she has, which is nice because that’s something she’s struggled SO MUCH with differentiating in the past (eg the dream scene when Yasha was supposed to debut her new powers and just. Completely missed that.)

He read her a list of her potential bonus actions. He explained clearly that she could either stick with a perception roll or enhance it with Divine Sense. He has a good eye for noticing when she hasn’t made the leap from story to mechanics and giving her a bridge.
