Cecil was so relieved. He flipped the top - half the cigarettes were gone, probably a few too many smoked in anticipation of today. He put one between his lips, returning the pack to his pocket. “Well, that’s true. But still, I know it’s terrible.” His grandmother, were she still alive, would’ve smacked that cigarette right out of his mouth. He felt a little guilty even smoking here on her property - whether or not she was alive to be upset about it.
Not guilty enough to avoid lighting it though. He dug around for his trusty black lighter and lit his cigarette, blowing the initial smoke down and away from Yuki. “On the record, no I do not because I am not old enough.” He said, in the most serious voice and face he could muster.
It quickly cracked though, “But, I mean, yeah. I have more wine in my veins than blood, I think. I don’t drink beer, though. Mostly wine. Some strong liquor if I can get it.” In his family, wine had never been considered alcohol. Actually, that was probably what had lead to his extensive drinking at times - it didn’t feel as much like alcohol as vodka or beer.
Silence was quick to envelope both their frames, except for the mere sound of the flicker of the flame and the deep breathes he could hear that came from Cecil. He wasn’t one for vices, but he was thoroughly curious regarding the sensation smoking would do to one self. Not that he would do it on the job, unlike Cecil, if any human resource were to find out, Yuki would be fired. Or worse, demoted. Which to him, was a much terrible fate to end up with.
The initial response Cecil gave caused Yuki to raise a brow, though a knowing smirk was already present upon his features as he soon after heard the other’s voice crack. Causing him to release a low chuckle as well. Drinking on the other hand, he did indulge occasionally. Which mainly involved his older brother paying him visits here and there.
