Tried sleeping, didn’t work, so here’s my Wandavision analysis. Spoilers for episode one and two below!
So SWORD is trying to yeet Wanda outta there (as seen by the SWORD logo on the book at the end of episode one, and the logo again on the beekeeper’s outfit in episode two), but who is the baddie here?!
They (presumably SWORD) ask Wanda who’s doing this to her, and at first I thought it was Hydra because of the Hydra logo in the watch ad in episode two, but the ad in episode one was about a toaster from Stark Industries. The ads might just be some sort of meta-memories, with Hydra being in an ad because they were behind the experiments done on Wanda and Pierto, and Stark Industries being in an ad because Tony was one of the people behind building Vision.
So, the way I see it, the ads are showcasing what ‘created’ Wanda and Vision, and it definitely ties into something. Probably to why the toaster in episode one’s ad had a blinking red light in it (being the first colour in the show so likely very important in either symbolism or foreshadowing).
On another note, I’m pretty sure a part of Wanda already knows what’s going on here. In the first episode, when Vision’s boss was choking, his wife’s ‘haha stop’s were becoming increasingly serious. But, her ‘haha stop’s were also subtly, slowly becoming directed to Wanda (her slight head turn, the way the camera jumpcuts to Wanda, and Wanda’s expression). And we know that Wanda’s magic can choke people. And her hands were under the table out of sight. And this all happened after Vision’s boss was questioning the plotholes in Wanda’s reality.
Additionally, in spite of Wanda saying to Vision she didn’t know what was going on (at the talent show in episode two), at the end of that episode, when the beekeeper came up from the sewer and made eye contact with her, she gave him a knowing look and enunciated, “No.” Then everything rewinded.
Oh she knows what she’s doing.
One more thing, the colour foreshadowing. The red in the beeping toaster might’ve meant something, but my interpretation is that it was foreshadowing the red blood in the second episode. And the colourful toy helicopter in the beginning of episode two was of course foreshadowing Wanda’s pregancy, which made the world colourful. Even though the show is going to be of colour from here on out, we might want to look for more colour foreshadowing, since if there’ll be any, it’ll definitely be more subtle with all the colours that surround it now.
