Touch repulsed yet touch starved Maven who is uncomfortable with being touched by strangers and not strangers alike unless you’re a very specific person with whom he feels comfortable. That’s when he gets very very clingy and is all over them.

#cal is one of the most deep characters in rq idc what any of yall say #<- prev #!!!!!#in my eyes the 3 core characters of RQ and subsequently the deepest characters of RQ is the trio #so insane when people belittle any one of them into these crazy flat ideas of a character yk #Cal spends the series constantly fighting an inner battle between what he thinks is right and what he thinks HAS to happen #his arc regarding his view of oppression and his role as an oppressive force is a major highlight of the series #i feel so strongly about Cal he is so special to me💔#and lol the joy of Cal is that he is so opinionated and full of personality #Cal has a major attitude problem from GS to the end and it’s beautiful to read #he’s very dear to me

Fitz and Molly are odd to me purely because Molly feels like she only exists to be the girl he’s infatuated with. I hope that their relationship beginning to blossom means that she begins to have a stronger role in the story than just being the girl yk?

#That being said i’m cheesing during their scenes don’t get it twisted #it does make me giggle that Fitz is 100% like #‘she’s all there ever can be for me I love her more than anyone/anything I do all of this for her’#and he’s like. max 16😭#like baby let’s grow up a little bit #going into these books the only thing i was aware of was the relationship between Fitz and the Fool #which is a bit surprising to me now that i’ve begun reading bc the Fool isn’t particularly close to Fitz yk?#so i suppose that relationship is much further down the line #can’t tell if the lack of Molly I’ve seen over time is due to her not having a major role overall or misogyny #we will see we will see #keep u posted lol

also I love the idea of evil Cal resembling Elara in his actions and methods😋 Even if she was not actively mothering him and even if they equally rejected one another, she was still a constant figure in his life😋 he was bound to pick up a few things from her whether they liked it or not😋

#but even if Cal emulates her perfectly he still wouldn't be HER perfect heir #because that loyalty is not there!
