I’m going to view Poussey’s journey through New York as her trip to the afterlife. There are some beautiful things in here. She’s on an amazing journey for a night after she loses her friends. She makes an unlikely friend and they travel to a new type of party where she meets all kinds of people. She meets spiritual beings who help her see that if you find a sliver of happiness in this world, we should stay in it as long as we can. Her journey through the city that night shows her true spirit and I take comfort knowing that she is in a better place.
