someone get me this mf shirt so i can be the dirty hippie i am
are you sure
along with doing some vaguely job related things in nyc, i also indulged in a lot of not-related-to-job things, like reading books. I’ve become more biased towards consuming fiction books in part because I’m realizing how much easier it is to appreciate them as an adult (which makes sense because most of them were literally made for actual adult people I guess). A lot of the plots I’ve encountered are also less predictable/formulaic compared to movies. Not all of it was intelligent (in fact a good amount of it could be categorized as junk or “guilty pleasure” stuff) but I’m glad I’ve been able to make the time for this hobby now that school stuff is done. Also I’m pretty sure I’ve become less literate since switching to STEM so this feels like a nice way to compensate for my undergrad decisions .-. I’ve had people at the program I was in ask me for book recommendations but it was difficult because I’m biased towards things that depict characters in situations I can relate to. Here’s a list of stuff I managed to finish, which reflects the above statement lol:
Flowers for Algernon <--I’ve never cried so much over a book in my life Eleanor Oliphant is Completely Fine The ~entire~ Crazy Rich Asians Trilogy Free Food for Millionaires My Year of Rest and Relaxation ~nonfiction~ Chaos Monkeys The Defining Decade Why You Eat What You Eat Stuff I started but haven’t been able to finish lol Misbehaving -> Thought I would be able to finish this easily since it’s a topic I’m pretty excited about but it became very personal and felt a lot more about settling scores from the author’s pov Hiding in the Bathroom ....other things I probs can’t remember

If you don’t have a Pikachu kissing you on your blog, then what blog are you running?
Not a very good one obviously.
Hold your breath while we’re on the bridge. Even a tiny breath will break the spell.
