Today, in Rimworld

Sorry for the big delay! I was distracted by other games but we have returned!

Starting things off we had a pair of endangered ferrets wander into the colony! Both were successfully tamed.

Secondly, a lone genius calling herself Cutty decided she wanted to join.. She did not last long though, as soon after a raid downed her and she became hostile, we tried capturing her but accidentally killed her in the process. Rip Cutty.

Jacaranda and Erepa have decided to get married! Jacaranda will be changing her last name to match Erepas.

We had a trio of Dromas wander in, they were being hunted by a Jade dragon named toothless. We killed the dragon and tamed 1 of the 3 Dromas before they wandered off.

While out doing a werewolf hunt, we discovered some people in cryosleep who turned out to be MIdnight's ex-wife and his son.. though Rudolf is not Angelika's son, so who knows where he came from. despite rescuing them, neither decided to join the colony.

We had two couples form, Lio proposed to Ahmose and will be marrying in the forseeable future, and Tarkus and Whirlwind are lovers... guess this means Tarkus will become Milo and Siffrin's father in law?

Well that was fast..

Finally we end today off with Milo gaining his Baron title. As a reward, he was granted a Highmate and a persona weapon.. which he cant use as Milo is a highmate himself and is already married. We welcome this new highmate regardless!

Oh he's a pyromaniac.. thats gonna be fun to deal with.

Either way, If I understand titles right, Milo is potentially one title away from unlocking the requirements for the Royal Ascent ending. We begin the process of making a bedroom that befits a stellarch...

Today in Rimworld:

A man by the name of Reox crashlanded in Gloomrest forest today, turns out he's Milo's ex-husband.. Highmates psychically bond for life to my understanding, death being the only thing to separate them, and it causes immense mental trauma to the highmate.. Makes you wonder how far Reox went to divorce Milo. Reox did wind up joining our colony though, so we'll be seeing more of him.

We set off to rescue Midnight, you may remember from medieval times Midnight was osiria's husband, though as the previous midnight and osiria both broke, I had to remake both of them from scratch. They're just lovers for now but I forsee marriage soon~

Another Returnee we had soon after was Lio! Thankfully one of the few pawns from the medieval game who didn't break.

We had our second ever huntsman moon! Osiria's dormant lycanthropy came to light and i wasn't able to get her away in time before she went berserk, but Siffrin was there to stop her without taking damage... However, I got raided by both manhunter Wildpods and feral werewolves and in the ensuing Chaos Siffrin lost his leg. We are now on the lookout for bionics and researching prosthetics.

We built a swimming pool for people to relax in for their recreation needs, Tarkus was the first to use it immediately after he finished building it.

While exploring some ruins to find more information on one of our relics, Ahmose lost both his eyes to an attacking Saurid, luckily from a previous mission we had acquired an Archotech eye, so he wasn't blind forever!

Jacaranda's best friend and lover has finally decided to re-join us! Normally I know they wouldn't given how the empire works, but with the reunion mod it wasn't too difficult to reunite these lovers.

Finally, a Frayhound wandered into the area. I was very tempted to tame such a beast but this wording made me believe it was best to instead kill the beast instead. While we were victorious, many of our colonists were infected with lightrot and Tarkus lost a leg. He was given the honor of finishing the beast off. We now must make 2 prosthetic legs once we are able to.

Today in Rimworld: Turns out i just needed to verify my game files to fix the duplicating image issue! Everything is fixed! so no longer need to restart. Unfortunately in expecting a restart I deleted all my screenshots of what happened between now and the last game, so i'll give a summary:

We are currently doing 2 different lodging quests involving Whitebanner, who wants to study our colony's culture, and 2 royals and a guard who are here while we dealt with some mechs. Jacaranda has fallen in love with the hussar guard Erepa, who will only be with us for another 17 in-game hours. I may turn them into an ally so her lover can return to us. Fysyttys the Yttakin turned 13 and grew up, donning the nickname 'Daxten.' We've also had 2 new colonists join us: an Oracle Anthrofox named Ahmose, and the space hunter Tarkus from the medieval playthrough! Siffrin has also at this point activated our monolith, so we should soon expect to see some anomalies show up. Milo is able to upgrade his royal rank, but first we need to build a throne room..

So something happened, literally all the autosaves have this issue.. No clue as to -why- this happened.. so i guess i'm just.. gonna have to restart this colony.. Good thing i wasn't very far I suppose. Till the restart! (and maybe then i can get whatever was going on with facial animations to cooperate.)

Regardless... I think I might take a break for a bit.. I'd rather not keep stressing over this and will come back to it later..

can anyone explain to me why, despite disabling facial animations for some races due to it breaking them, i still have races that show up looking like this?

Today in Rimworld:

While Milo was thankfully not involved, we did have a couple of people come brawl near home. the Minotaur lost but luckily we were able to rescue them. They did not join us though.

Siffrin has returned to us! They are one of our pawns we managed to save from Starfallen lake.

and Upon joining, Siffrin decided that it was time we named ourselves! My go-to name for factions is usually just our ideology name but this particular settlement is known as Gloomrest Forest.

A slave trader came by, and while our ideology forbids slavery, they had one pawn who was available to join us as a colonist, a young Yttakin named Fysyttys.

Milo and Siffrin became lovers after Milo regaled a tale about fighting muggers. I like to think he told siffrin about the earlier fight before he joined and exaggerated it a bit.

Soon after, Milo's mother, an anthro leopard who calls herself Whirlwind, decided to join us. Funny that the cat man has a cat mom.

Finally for today, Osiria has decided to join us! Osiria was one of the pawns from starfallen lake, but something about the transfer broke her character so we had to remake her.

Today in Rimworld:

Results of the poll are in! It seems people are curious to see the rich explorer run so here we go! I do have reunion set up for some of our friends from starfallen lake, unfortunately not everyone will be following us due to their races either not cooperating from the transfer from medieval to hightech, or were a race specifically from medieval overhaul.

Meet Milo (Pronounced Mee-low) Ward. He's an evangelist originally from a glitterworld who yearned for the stars, and to Milo here, life is too short not to take chances! As a highmate, however, we are severely restricted, especially when it comes to combat, all I can hope is that randy will be friendly to us until we get a fighter. His starting pet is an animus vox named Beauregard.

Our ideoligion is called Candied Steep; we've taken the memes High life, Sweet teeth, Tea primacy, and Epicurean.

Today in Rimworld: I've ultimately decided to put Starfallen lake on hold.. So now I'd like to see your opinion on which group you'd be most curious to watch!

We have a rich explorer Highmate named Milo (Pronounced Meelo) living in a glowforest, will probably have an ideology involving high life, will be going for a Royalty ending. We have a light party of beings from Eorzea trying to survive the best they can (utilizing a rim reborn mod), no idea what ending we'd go for here, Anomaly maybe?. Then theres a mechanitor playthrough with an obsession on androids, going for an archonexus ending. (I know this is pretty similar to Pushing500's current playthrough but I think it'll be different enough.)

and finally will be a group of starjacks trying to build an astroid base while doing their best to avoid the mechanoids. This run will be going for an odyssey ending.

Today in Rimworld:

One of the pawns we rescued after cracking open an ancient danger decided to join us!

Bay and Cal have decided to get engaged! Cheers for the happy couple~

and finally man by the name of Siffrin decided to join us, this one is based on my own tabletop character from the same group that a few others in this run are from ^^

I know this one is a little shorter, i'm finding myself having trouble with keeping attention on the colony. Wondering if I should put these guys on a break and load up a new, non-medieval playthrough.

Today in rimworld (For real this time):

We encounter our first unnatural corpse.. my least favorite anomaly. It took the form of Urist and has, at this point, disappeared twice on me.

Another red dragon has wandered in, and funnily enough, Victorina got an inspired taming 2 days prior, so we welcome yet another true dragon into our arms!

Another hunstman's moon has come, which means its Osiria's time to wolf out. Took out that entire herd of muffalo on her own.

And finally for today, Bay has reached the biological age of 29 and has developed Asthma as a result.

Today in rimworld:

Issues, lots of issues.

My save file is taking forever to load and when it does finally load it shows I have no colonists [even though I can see them on the map], it's lagging and stutters, I get so many red error notifications and constant enemy alerts.. All the red errors are related to the Sims trait mod which I see had an update yesterday, guess something about that update broke my game. Going to try uninstalling and reinstalling it to see if that helps, straight up Uninstaller if it doesn't. If neither of those work.. then I fear our friends at Starfall lake are forever lost to me..

Edit: good news! All I had to do was uninstall and reinstall the broken mod and everything is fixed! Starfall lake is safe!

Today in Rimworld: Hello! I'm back after having some struggles with returning. I was very tempted to put this medieval run on hold for something else, but decided otherwise.

We start with learning that a hungry dragon has been tracking some animals. I figured the 'jump to location' option would show me the dragon..

and instead was just shown the livestock it was hunting; 1 bull and 2 cows.

I did find the dragon though, and found a mod to make the dragons look cuter again. He's not just any dragon though, he's a true dragon! I wasn't planning to do anything with him until a friend in discord made the comment that he looked like American Dragon Jake Long, and with Victorina's inspired taming, Jake long is now a member of our colony and has an immediate bond with Victorina.

We also finally got our first creepjoiner; a drifter with a void fascination..

He's a dark elf named Kazuya Harrow but prefers you call him Vortex.

Finally, while studying the warped obelisk, Lio began to disappear into the obelisk's labyrinth. The paladin had no issue clearing it though, only real formidable enemies were the shamblers brought to life from a statue's deadlife dust.

Hey there, I apologize for the lack of rimworld posting lately, a combination of recently discovered games [abiotic factor], dlc releases or updates [Woolhaven, honkai star rail 4.0 patch, and Sims 4 royalty and legacy] and a.. general fallout with a former friend who has a pawn in my medieval save kinda made it difficult to return to it.. I don't want to restart cause I want to be able to see this story to the end but I've been having struggles. Rest assured I have not abandoned starfallen lake, it just.. might be a bit before I return to it.. apologies to those who had been following their story! When I do that one pawn will be sent to an outpost so I don't have to look at them.

That moment in rimworld where you hadn't played for a while as you were distracted by other games and apparently a mod you had was deleted by the creator and now your fluffy white dragon looks more like a snowy owl

..really wish i could see what the mod that gets deleted is rather than just seeing blanks when i look at my subscribed mods through steam.

Today in Rimworld:

Despite their earlier breakup, Cal and Bay have gotten back together! We'll see how long this lasts..

Six of our subjects got sick with the flu, thankfully all made a full recovery... somehow.

We successfully tamed a Blizarisk who wandered in, she is called Snowy

Cal has undergone his Acolyte ceremony. We converted the former prison into his throne room. We had an honorable ceremony and Cal developed the Fun-loving trait as a result.

With the rise of the huntsman moon once again, our dormant lycanthropes both transformed. They fought eachother with Midnight defeating Victorina but we rescued her in time to save her without incuring midnight's wrath, which was directed at some nearby muffalo. We then suffered not one but THREE werewolf attacks which resulted in Lio and Osiria contracting Sanies Lupinus. While Lio was cured before it got bad, Osiria now has dormant lycanthropy.

We had two different rescue missions pop up, one was Victorina's daughter, who turned out to be another poluxkin, the other was a woman named Pim. She too, is based on a friend's character. While i forgot to grab a picture of Bluegum...

This is Pim W. Tinger, her character was based on the concept of a worpltinger.

Today in Rimworld:

A fluffy white dragon wandered into Starfallen lake! I was immediately enamored and did my best to recruit it to replace our former beloved dragon. I wanted midnight to tame it since, at the time, he had the highest animal skill but we discovered that, while in lycan form, he was incapable of talking! So instead we sent Victorina who successfully tamed it. In fashion with Gastrodon, we named this dragon Reshiram.. now i need a black dragon.

I forgot to mention, at one point Cal and Bay became lovers, however, after being rejected, the two have decided they needed some space and have broken up.

Our assembly of anomalies slowly grows. A shambler mink, a sightstealer, and a gorehulk.

Cal also found and tamed a Frostwolf, we have named him Prism.

And finally we have recruited a stonefolk named Stal. I love how much smaller dwarves are compared to everyone else XD. Stal is also based on a friend's character (at least, looks, traits, and stat-wise, not apparel-wise)

Today in rimworld:

We rescued a deepfolk named Stormforge! Though, as we already had..many decent miners and crafters, he and adam went off to form our first outpost.

We sent Lio out to an expo and he was gifted.. a psychic emanator? I mean we wont say no to a gift, even if we cant use it/power it yet. I learned Windmills and Watermills did exist in medieval times so getting to those researches surely wont break immersion right?

We recieved a mission to go raid a small ruin, and in doing so Midnight lost an arm. Ironically this mission also gifted us a bionic arm, people from the stars are so generous!

Finally, though i forgot to save the message, Midnight's Wife Osiria contacted us! Shes an animakin and was running away from deepfolk from The Siltstone Flail faction. We allowed her to join but oh boy, that was a tough fight. We mined a bunch of iron which, apparently skyrocketed our wealth so that raid consisted of 13 people rather than the usual 3-4 we had been getting.. Might need to sell off some of this iron ore.. Unless we're now stuck at that high of raids..idk. On a final note.. We wound up getting rid of Gastrodon the snail dragon. Much as I loved that fella, I was sick and tired of the slime trails..
