Reading Fic Pre-Posting: No typos whatsoever. Reads well. Flows beautifully. I have definitely found all possible spelling and grammar errors.
Reading Fic After Posting: A typo every three lines. Ten grammatical errors. Switches tense twice. POV changes for no discernible reason. Uses the word “look” five times in one sentence.
Sorry you have to be without the people you love. I hope the quarantine lifts for you soon and you can see both those two people again. You deserve people in your life to make you smile
Ohmygoodness, you are such a sweetheart, lovely Anon. Thank you. I will definitely be able to see one (my nephew) when everything calms down, which I am looking forward to, but not the other one. She left my life back in January, I’m still holding onto hope she might come back, but.... yeah. Anyways, thank you, you deserve people in your life to make you smile too! You are seriously so kind to reach out like this ^_^ If you ever wanna come off Anon, feel free to message me :D

Sounds like yesterday was a difficult day for you. I hope you're feeling a little brighter today. We're living in a mad time
Awww thank you so much. It’s honestly been so hard being without the people I love, without the two people that always knew how to make me smile without even trying. And .... yeah, its been a wild ride this 2020. Is the year over yet?
TIL that I cant walk away from an unfinished puzzle 😳 1000 pieces, 7 hours, and all three Pirates of the Caribbean later and I'm done, both literally and figuratively 😂
Day 1: Moment you fell in love with her
“What’s your name?“ Lexa
Lyanna was determined not to like Robert Baratheon. From the day Father told her of the betrothal, she had decided firmly, she would not love him. She didn’t even know him, not really, nothing beyond what Ned wrote in his letters, and he did not paint the most flattering picture, despite his own obvious infatuation with him. Despite her concerns about him, his drinking, his bastard, Ned swore that Robert loved her already, besotted, that he would be nothing but a devoted husband. How can that possibly be, though? They were betrothed and he still couldn’t be faithful. Why would he respect their marriage vows any more than the bonds of their engagement?
No, she would not love him, even if she couldn’t prevent the marriage from occuring. She still had command over her own heart.
Or so she thought. Lyanna had no idea just how naive she was, to think that love could be set by her own stubborness. She had underestimated Robert Baratheon’s charm. From the moment he arrived in Winterfell for the wedding, it was as if a blinding light had been concentrated on her, like the sun shone for her and no one else, so intense were his attentions. He came bearing gifts; a fine, fast horse, jewelry befitting a queen, gowns cut in a Southron fashion, perfumes and rouges. It was almost obscene how he spoiled her.
The gifts hardly compared to his words. Not a poet by any means, he could be rather graceless in his words, but that only added to their perceived sincerity. When first he laid eyes on her, his smile was so wide, it was nearly blinding. He took both her hands in his, pressed them to his lips, and swore that she was the fairest creature that’s ever lived. Lyanna knew this was not true, she knew her face. Plain and horsey. And yet… And yet, she knew he believed it entirely. The shine in his eyes whenever he looked at her, the way he’d almost blush whenever he spoke her name, when first he called her ‘Lya’.
She fought it hard. She really, truly did. Tried to focus on his faults, of which there were plenty to choose from. He drank to excess, frequently in his cups. And when he was, he’d tell the bawdiest tales, all sense of propriety or shame gone. He’d tell anyone within earshot about their nightly acitvities, how frequently they shared a marriage bed, how enthusiastic his little wife was. It was mortifying that he should speak of her in front of their household, their bannermen.
And when he would leave for days on end. To settle disputes with some unruly lords, a lengthy hunting trip. It hardly mattered the excuse, because the nagging fear was always there. That it’s all some fabrication, some excuse so that he can spent the night in the arms of another woman.
He talked too loud.
He stole the covers in bed.
He belched shamelessly at dinner.
He’d walk through the halls shirtless like some kind of vagrant.
Every time she felt a tug at her heartstrings when he smiled, when he kissed her, she would rattle off in her mind all the reason not to love him. Then one day, he’d asked her to go hunting with him, to explore the Rainwood. He’d even given her a bow, and praised her marksmenship. He laughed when she’d hit a hare at fifty paces, and kissed the side of her head. “I’ve married a huntress.”
She tried to list her reasons, everything he did that annoyed her, shamed her, but in that moment, nothing came to mind. And she was forced to admit the truth; she loved him.

i can’t talk shit about the pirates of the caribbean films as if elizabeth swann becoming pirate king didn’t hand my entire ass to me and make me the gay i am today
these 2 looks basically defined my sexuality and i’m not afraid to admit it
things pirates of the caribbean got right:
1. will and elizabeth’s love story
2. elizabeth becoming pirate king
3. avoiding sexualizing elizabeth or the other female pirate characters in the first 3 films by allowing them to wear period-accurate pirate outfits that aren’t tailored to be revealing and impractical for ‘sex appeal’ just because they’re women
4. hans zimmer’s entire score but especially the iconic ‘he’s a pirate’ main theme
5. When the movie came out, morally-gray characters like Jack were actually not really a thing yet in pop culture, and it’s not Pirates’ fault that there are a ton of stupid shitty copycats out there.
6. I run a corseting panel at cons and literally use Elizabeth’s lace-up scene as a video clip of what historical corseting was actually like, because the only thing they got wrong in this scene is that tightlacing wouldn’t be a thing for about another 200 years (and you couldn’t tightlace with the corset style Elizabeth is wearing anyway). It’s one of the most accurate corseting scenes I’ve ever seen.
7. Will’s hat.
8. That scene with all the pirates on the gallows where that little boy starts singing Hoist the Colours? Yeah, that’s fucking legendary. The rest of AWE was kind of a trash fire, but that scene gave me goosebumps.
9. There’s this great shot in the first one where they really drive home the class differences inherent in this time period by having the governor talking about progress and civilization to Elizabeth in their carriage, and then they cut to a shot outside the carriage where a beggar gets splashed by mud from the wheel. It’s a perfect way to underline that everything is not, in fact, a nice little upper-class fairytale, and to give some weight to Will’s storyline, because he has a lot more in common with that beggar than with the governor.
10. For its time, the CGI was fucking amazing.
11. And let’s not forget the work of the makeup department, which had to actually invent new ways of putting on makeup for this movie.
12. The governor’s death scene. Holy shit.
13. They could have gone with a Jack/Will/Elizabeth love triangle, but they didn’t. There are some hints Jack is in love (or at least in lust) with Elizabeth, but he recognizes that she loves Will, and that’s that.
14. You’ve got to admit that wedding was unique.
15. The introduction of fantasy elements to historical fiction outside of Tolkein-esque fantasy, and how it contributed to and expanded the Fantasy Media boom we’re still enjoying today.
