Hanford
Hello everyone! So today was senior ditch day for Lily, and she spent it in Hanford with Stephanie. We've been meaning to go to Hanford Superior Dairy since last year, but we never got to due to school and work. Today was senior ditch day and the only day off that Steph had, so why not? We left to Hanford after running errands with Steph and our first stop was a tea house. Lily and Steph had been wanting to go out to a fancy place for tea with little sandwiches and biscuits, but the place we found in our local town ended up closing down, so we were so stoked to find a tea house in Hanford.
L.T. Sue Co. Tea Room & Emporium
Variety of teas
It was a really lovely tea place, but unfortunately, it wasn't the 'fancy tea with sandwiches and biscuits' that we anticipated. We still liked the place anyways, the customer service was great and we shared a large pot of pagoda peach white tea that tasted heavenly with blue agave.
Our waiter put a weird-looking leaf ball in our hot water and told us that our tea would finish steeping when the ball blossoms. They also placed a lit candle beneath our pot to keep our tea staying hot.
It started to unravel itself....
After we finished our tea, we walked around the area for a bit, then left to continue our journey to Superior Dairy! Superior Dairy is known for their rich and creamy ice cream. Not only does their ice cream taste amazing, but they give you an incredibly large amount of ice cream. Why have quality over quantity when we could just have both? We drove every where down the roads of 7th street but couldn't find it, and our signal got cut off so we didn't get access to our GPS, so here's a heads up to anyone who plans on visiting Hanford, look up the area beforehand because the area cuts off your signal. Steph luckily got her signal back so we were able to navigate our way there.
Everything was pink and white inside.

Galentine's Day
Hello everyone! How was your Valentine's Day? We spent our Valentine's Day together and labelled it as "Galentine" (gal [girl] + Valentine = Galentine). We had difficulties spending Valentine's day together, so we all ended up celebrating it on February 16th. Yay for discounted Valentine chocolates! So we did some late night grocery shopping for ice cream and spent the night singing soundtracks from 'Frozen', eating ice cream, and watching Mulan. Bianca also wrote her first original song and dedicated it to Lily and Stephanie. I guess you could say we were all having a very sismantic night.
Toppings: sprinkles, bananas, mini M&M's, broken Pocky sticks, chocolate chips, strawberries, more sprinkles, chocolate syrup, caramel syrup

We had an ice cream contest on who could make their ice cream look the best. We'll let you guys decide on who's bowl looks better.

Jazz Hop & Art Hop
Jazz hop takes place on the first Thursday of every month in various participating locations. Bianca, Lily, Stephanie, and Arquelle went to a local Japanese restaurant downtown called, "Tokyo Garden," to listen to some good jazz and to dine out in Japanese food. Afterwards, we left to art hop around the corner to check out artists showcasing their tattoo designs. Look forward to our upcoming vlog and ootd on this day!

First Day of February
Hi everyone! How's your February going so far? We kicked off our month with some baking and the celebration of a friend's birthday. Here's how our day went: Bianca and Lily went to our local community park to take pictures for our friend and her navy boyfriend. It was very cute and fun.
Bianca being a hardcore photographer.
After we finished the couple's photoshoot, we had lunch at Sweet Tomatoes, a salad and soup buffet. Bianca and Lily basically got the same exact plate of food AND the same drink. It was very delicious, and this place makes us want to go back for more. Their clam chowder tasted AMAZING!
Unfortunately, we didn't take any photos, but it will be featured on our upcoming vlog!
After lunch, we parted ways with the couple and went on a thrift shopping adventure downtown. We went to four different stores, and didn't have much luck on our side. After we finished thrifting, we picked up a warm cup of coffee and visited Stephanie at work. She was about done by the time we arrived, and we all made plans to bake cupcakes. So the three of us had to split up-- Bianca went home, Lily and Stephanie went to the grocery store. Stephanie bought beets for the cupcakes, and we then went to Lily's house to gather up all of the baking materials and the remaining materials at Steph's house. We went to Bianca's house and started on making beet cupcakes from scratch. You could watch how to make beet cupcakes here. It was a long process, but very fun to make.
After we put the batter in the cupcake liners, we placed them in the oven and moments later, realized that we forgot to add milk to the batter. So after 2 minutes of baking, we quickly took the tray out of the oven, and mixed in a tablespoon of milk in each cupcake and individually stirred them. We used half of the milk that we were originally suppose to use since there wasn't enough room left in the cupcake liners... We still baked the cupcakes anyways and they ended up turning out well.

Bianca's puppy (Siomai) kissed Steph on the lips, and now she has lipstick on her.
We then left to our friend, Arquelle's house for her 21st birthday. We were about 4 hours late, but we still showed up since it's better late than never. The cupcakes ended up tasting really delicious. They weren't too hard or too moist, the texture was spongy and soft. It wasn't too sweet, and the frosting complimented the cupcakes perfectly since all of the flavors went well together. These cupcakes were very fun and delicious to make. If we ever do plan to make these again, let's just hope we remember to add the milk next time, haha. The party was really fun. There were a lot of familiar and unfamiliar faces, food and snacks, karaoke, music, and so on. Sadly, we came too late so we didn't get to interact with the birthday girl as much, but the party was still very lively and enjoyable.
We also had some tattoo work going on as well...
Overall, our first day of the month was very fun and eventful. We did so much in one day, and had a very enjoyable time. Tune in for our upcoming vlog on how we spent this day! //

Café Maji
January 26, 2014 - Day 2 Today is our last day in SoCal! So, after our good night's sleep, we decided to go grab a good cup of coffee to wake us up before we head home. We drove all the way to Arcadia for Café Maji, a café that makes really cute desserts and latte art.
Our cute menu in a photo book
After ordering our beverages, Bianca and Lily spent the entire waiting period roaming around the store capturing pictures and videos because every corner of the café was just so cute. Plus, the workers were very friendly and made our overall experience very warm and welcoming.
After the three of us received our beverages, we took more pictures. The presentation of the drinks were simplistically cute and came with a complimentary cream puff. We probably took up about 10 minutes taking pictures and then enjoying it afterwards. The highlight was when our waiter passed by our table and jokingly muttered, "Girls these days."

Crepes, Half&Half & Purikura
January 25, 2014 - Day 1 Part 2/2
..... After we finished resting up and getting our phones charged, we got dessert crepes at Crepe Luv since Stephanie and Bianca has never tried it. We built our own crepes and got to watch them make it for us. They made it rather quickly (quicker than the time it took for Bianca and Stephanie to order so they didn't get to see much of the process lol). The crepe base was more chewy than crispy, they charge extra if you want it crispy and our crepes were about $7 each depending on what you put on it. It was satisfying.
Top: Bianca's & Stephanie's crepe w/ Nutella, green tea ice cream, strawberries, mangoes, and whip cream
Bottom: Lily's crepe w/ Nutella, green tea ice cream, strawberries, bananas, chocolate syrup
Afterwards, we went to Half&Half Teahouse in San Gabriel since Bianca and Stephanie has never experienced the wondrous feeling of holding a large boba cup. Sadly, the drinks weren't in the large cups like we expected. I think that this is the only Half&Half that does not have the cups, but the drinks still tasted the same and as great as ever.

Lily also came up with the crazy idea of having everyone write a dare on a strip of paper. Since we are on a trip to a place that we don't live in, we wanted to try something new and do something crazy since no one knew us or would even remember us anyways. So after we all wrote our dares, we folded them all up so no one could see and played UNO. The person who comes in last has to draw a dare. Steph lost the first round and got Bianca's dare "Tell a stranger they're cute." Lily lost the second round and drew Steph's dare "Lick a car in front of Half&Half." As for the last round, Steph was the first to win and Bianca and Lily went on for perhaps 20 minutes. Bianca won and Lily drew the dare, "Do the worm in CVS."
We then walked over towards CVS where Lily had to lick a car twice because Bianca didn't get the first time on camera.. Since Lily didn't know how to do the worm, she just rolled around in CVS. Afterwards, we went to Diamond Plaza to take purikura photos. It was deserted since it was 11pm when we arrived, but Cue was opened 24 hours. After arriving, Steph had to use the restroom and we rode an elevator down. On the other side of the elevator, Steph recognized Kiki (girlfriend of Ty from a band called Issues) and Ali who is also a girlfriend of one of the band members named Skyler. It was a surprising coincidence and Steph held a conversation with them.
After we parted our ways, we went to the restroom to get ready for picture taking. Then we rushed over to Cue and picked out a machine.
It had been Bianca's and Lily's goal to take purikura pictures together since middle school. It was also Steph's first purikura experience. (purikura: Japanese sticker pictures that you take in a large photo booth and get to cutely decorate afterwards; around $10 a session)
After we finished getting our photos taken, we cruised around Rosemead to find a place that was still open to grab a bite. Every store was closed or closing up, but we settled for a boba teahouse around the area. Our cell phones were dead by then so we couldn't take any photos. Each of us ordered an appetizer and ate outside the storefront since they were closing up. Steph finally completed a dare by getting a guy's attention before he left. It went something like this: Steph: Hey! You're cute! Guy: Me? *looks around and points at himself* Steph: Yeah Guy: Oh...thank you.... I think you're cute too. It was a great experience for Steph since she didn't feel like opening up. P.S. She's glad Lily made her feel really bad for almost not completing her dare. (She also drove in a circle around him and his group of friends in the van...) It was a really exciting and fun night day.

LA Chinatown & Kim Ky Noodle House
January 25, 2014 - Day 1 Part 1/2
+This was actually just a business trip that Stephanie had to go on with her dad, but Bianca and Lily tagged along-- making it a roadtrip. So this is the first blog post documentary thing on our trip. I'm unsure if I should write this in third-person or in my own point-of-view, but I'll try out different styles until I could settle down on what's more suitable. And just to clear up any confusion, I'm Lily! I'll try to summarize our trip, yet be descriptive. Here goes: Our first trip together as well as our first destination! Stephanie and her dad picked up Lily and Bianca in the morning and off they went to SoCal! We arrived in approximately 3½ hours and at our moment of arrival, we all decided to start a vlog of our trip together. Unfortunately, since we made that decision during that moment, we didn't think about bringing any of our cameras so every photo is taken with our cell phones.
We roamed through the streets of Chinatown and went inside the Swap Meet building where we saw a ton of cute clothes, accessories, trinkets, etc
Afterwards, we all walked around some more in an empty stomach and went to Kim Ky Noodle House for egg noodle soup. It was really packed when we arrived since we went during rush hour for lunch, but it was definitely worth the wait and it tasted delicious! We all got small bowls, but there was so much noodles that we could barely finish it all. Each bowl ranges from around $4~$6.
Egg Noodle Wonton Soup
After lunch, we went to nail supply stores since Stephanie had to stock up on supplies and business stuff. We then went to Stephanie's relative's house to rest and charge our phones.

Affidavita (ăf′ĭ-dā′vit-ɑ) is a meshed form of affidavit, a written sworn statement or testimony, and vita, latin for 'life.' Basically, this is our oath to live life to the fullest, and enjoy every second of it. Life is so precious, but many of us are too busy to slow down or take a break. Affidavita is meant to help us slow down, and share the beauty of life and good times through our eyes. So, it'd be a good idea to document our travels, experiences, daily life, and share what we do.
Lily, Bianca, and Stephanie have been close friends since middle school, and now our futures are venturing off into what people call "the real world." From here on out, life will be busy, hectic, and fast-paced, but we will help each other slow down and smell the roses.
