Okay, so, I’m back lol. 

This is my new page for Boreal’s music, because the other one has personal stuff in it too and I just want this to be strictly about the music. Also I forgot the password.

First, I’m slowly getting back into making music, and yes Boreal is coming back for sure, but it’ll be different. It’s extremely hard to find time to work on music with three kids so it’s moving very slowly, but it is happening. My idea with Boreal is to move away from the concept album style and to just make songs for what they are, instead of trying to make the whole album a linear story. I think that way it’ll be less stressful on my end and I’ll have more enjoyment in it because of that.

Second, I’m also currently world building my own novel. You can find out more on that on my other Tumblr page ‘Tales of Nâdar’, but there is also another musical project I’m starting up that will accompany this novel. It’s going to be in the same style as Boreal, Atmospheric Black Metal type, but focused on the stories in my world.

Third, I’ve been going through a kind of cleansing of myself, in the sense that I’m no longer deeply depressed. I’ve put a lot of my strength and focus the last few months into changing myself for the better, moving on from bad memories and focussing on the good ones. Writing my novel has brought back some really nice memories of my late grandmother and how she opened up my world to Tolkien and many other fantasy type stories. I’ve been taking therapy that’s been allowing me to really focus on good memories and ignore the bad ones. It’s been working slowly but I’m getting there. So me getting back into Boreal is something I’m kinda challenging myself with. Boreal, to me, is filled with horrible memories and really deep depression. I want to come back to it and at least give it a better ending. It was always my dream to start my own music, I did that with Boreal, but I let it end so badly. I wanna make it my goal to fix that and to continue with how the dream started.

And it started with a walk through the forest. It was meant to be my last walk through that forest. I was going to kill myself that day. I’d finished work and walked through the trees and found the spot that I wanted to die in. Minutes before I sliced my throat, a lady came up behind me. She walked up to me and gave me a rock. It looked like any old rock, but she said ‘special rock, makes you happy’. And then she left, and I just sat there and cried. That single moment meant so much to me, and changed my whole perspective on life. Before then I didn’t believe in anything beyond the pale, but after that moment I fully realised that this woman must’ve been my guardian angle. I had never seen her before then, I didn’t see her until she came up behind me, and I sadly never saw her again. But it was all way to much to be a coincidence. 

That was when I started making my music, that same night. I still have that rock that she gave me. And that is where my love of nature came from I think. Whether my guardian angle is still around or not, she gave me a part of nature that she’d described as being special, and it was incredibly special to me as it saved my life.

Wow, that took a deep turn. Anyway, Boreal’s back up and running, I’m writing a book, and I have three kids with no time on my hands. And I wouldn’t want it any other way.

Dragged Through The Dirt - A Tale of The Fourth Age of Nâdar

I've changed the page name to 'Tales of Nâdar' because I've finally completed my list of major events throughout the ages of Nâdar and have decided to split the first three ages into different stories rather than one big novel. Because there's a whole lot going on.

The first one is called 'A Fire In The Mountain' and goes from The Creation Story up until the end of The First Age.

The second one is called 'Embers Of The Night Sky' with a bit of a recap of The Final Battle of Men in the end of The First Age and goes until the end of The Second Age.

The third one is called 'Rise Of The New Sun' and goes from the beginning of The Third Age up to the end of The Third Age.

'A Fire In The Mountain' consists of:

- The Creation Story

- The Battle of the Titans and Dragons

- Destruction of The Ancient Land (bridge between Khâzra and the mainland)

- Abelôn disappeares

- The Demons burry themselves deep beneath the world

- The Divinities create the race of Men

- The First Age begins

- Abelôn sends out his secret creation of the Phoenix to destroy Men

- Battle of The Men and The Phoenix

- Defeat of the Phoenix

- Curse of Death from Avâlar

- The Final Battle Of Men

- The Dark Lord awakens

- End of the First Age

'Embers Of The Night Sky' consists of:

- beginning of the Second Age

- Awakening of the Last Titan because the Dark Lord has appeared

- The Dark Lord begins to spread his cults across Nâdar

- The Battle of The Three Peoples (Men, Titan, Dark Lord)

- Final Titan is defeated by the Dark Lord's armies, Titan rises to the sky, shifts to form land and becomes the Floating Island, home to the Stick People

- (side story), a company of men travelled to what was now known as 'the forgotten land' (Khâzra) and awoke Abelôn.

- End of the Second Age

'Rise Of The New Sun' consists of:

- Beginning of the Third Age

- Abelôn returns and befriends the race of Men to defeat the Dark Lord

- The Four Demons return and befriend the Dark Lord as they all want to kill Abelôn

- Abelôn and the race of Men defeat the four Demons and a majority of the Dark Lord's armies

- Abelôn defeats the Dark Lord

- Abelôn turns on the Men and becomes their new enemy to take back Nâdar for himself again

- The race of Men are accompanied by the Divinities to defeat Abelôn

- Abelôn knocks the floating sky from above and it crashes down, sinking half of Nâdar with it

- The Divinities and the Men barely defeat Abelôn but succeed in banishing him from Nâdar and their curse of Death is lifted

- End of the Third Age

Obviously there's a lot of detail missing and I'm going to release snippets of the story here and there once I've completed it. The Creation Story is already here on my page and though some things about it I've changed a bit, it's still solid enough to get all the info you need for the creation of Nâdar. I'm going to start work on 'Embers Of The Night Sky' first, set in the second Age, because it's probably the shortest list of events and I don't want to overwhelm myself just yet. So I'll start easy. Hopefully I can make a good story out of it all😁. I'm excited about it!

I wrote a big thing about how amazing of a person Gandalf is, but I think it would be better to say in shorter terms.

Gandalf was clearly the greatest wizard to come. He never let his ego of being a higher class than the people get in front of him. He always looked highly upon the people before him. He cherished the friendships that he made on his journeys. He was incredibly humble. He always went the extra leap to protect the ones he cared about and never failed to show his respect. And he always loved saying how much he looked highly on Hobbits, a class of people that most would dismiss, he saw things in them that even himself couldn't achieve.

A much more detailed background story for my Dark Lord who now has a name:

'Adjútor was a direct descendant of one of The Eight Divinities. He was given the title of The Helper. He was destined to help the race of men through all the ages, by any means necessary. He wasn't the only, but he was the first Demigod to appear in Nâdar. He was welcomed into the world not long after the beginning of the first age.

Adjútor helped the race of men build their kingdoms and empires over the years. He would use his powers and magic to create things and show people new ways of doing things. He would show them how to learn, create, and survive. He showed them peace, and wealth. Though, some became greedy. Not yet knowing how to control themselves, some took matter into their own hands and started commanding their armies to prepare themselves.

Adjútor repelled and became angry, but he would not lay a hand on the people. He tried to persuade them to stop. But before too long, the armies were marching. They had been ordered to take down all the other kingdoms in Nâdar, and in defence, the other kingdoms would do the same to protect themselves.

Adjútor took no part in any of this and he made sure of that by fleeing himself to the mountains. He made refuge and started a fire for himself. He didn't stand over the battlefield with angst against the race of men, he knew they were still young and were going to make mistakes. Rather, he stood there in hope and watched the flames of his campfire dance. He saw to the blackened sky and looked for the sun. But there was no sun, only ash falling upon his face.

Adjútor realised that on this day, there would be no hope. No light to save them from their own darkness. He dropped to his knees and weeped, for he knew where he must go from here. He knew where this moment would take him. Though, he never had the nature of evil in mind and he never planned to use evil as a power or a weapon, he merely saw no other power before him except that of pure wrath. He never fell to evil. He just accepted it. He accepted that for the race of men to stop destroying one another, he had to force them to stick together and fight a greater evil. Himself. He renamed himself as Darghân, giving himself the title of the fallen.'

I'm working on my Dark Lord character. He doesn't have a name yet. I'm just working on his background and how he came to be the Dark Lord for now. This takes place at the very end of the first age of Nâdar, with the biggest battle the world had seen yet taking place. This is a quote of how he fled the battle, took refuge in the mountain, started a fire and looked upon the battlefield.

"He didn't stand over the battlefield with angst against the world. He stood there in hope and watched the flames of his campfire dance. He watched the blackened sky and looked for the sun. There was no sun. He realised that on this day, there would be no hope. No light to save them from the darkness. He never had the nature of evil in mind, and he never planned to use evil as a power or a weapon. He merely saw no other power before him except pure wrath. He never fell to evil. He just accepted it."

The Age of Creation

In the beginning there was nothing but a vast array of darkness. The thought of a world was not even yet conceived, though the concept of life was a forever task to create for the few beings of creation. No, this darkness wasn’t empty, rather, it was quite full. It was full of three great beings of creation. Avâlar was the first of the three. He would in the later ages become known as the creator of all that is seen.

Avâlar was a cosmic form of nothingness. His form consisted of nothing physical. But within his cosmic form was held everything. Everything that was, is, and is yet to come. Avâlar was existence itself. He held forever-lasting life. He held all the power to create. But the simple concept of life was a challenge to create, for it was not simple, rather it had many complications that not even Avâlar alone could master. He needed help.

Help came to him, another cosmic being known as Abelôn. Abelôn gave all his cosmic power to create life with Avâlar. As the power of life was forming, Avâlar warped and shaped it into his first form of life, Dragons. He wanted to test how much intelligence he could give these life forms, though, he had gone too far. The Dragons were starting to decide their own fates, avoiding the guidance of Avâlar, and Avâlar realised his mistake. During all of this, Abelôn was slowly dying, so in a last attempt to survive he fell into physical form and took the form of the Dragons being created in front of him. He was hidden amongst the Dragons, and this was Abelôn’s idea. As Avâlar was clearly making mistakes even from the very beginning of his creations, Abelôn wanted to hide deep in the world and over time he would shape the world into his vision.

The world was forged and named Nâdar (Home of Life). Creating Nâdar was the only way to create life, for life needed a home, a reason to be alive, for one can always fall back on home in times of need. Much time passed as the forming of the world took such time to perfect. The ideas of the life that Avâlar would create were snatched from him the moment Abelôn fell to Nâdar.

Though, before we venture towards the beginning of the first age, there are many things that happened in the creation of Nâdar that must first be established.

When Abelôn fell into Nâdar, he took with him the ambition to take control over the world and to shape the world in his own way. Without his cosmic form, he wasn’t powerless, but limited. He had great wisdom and had persuaded a few other Dragons to join with him. They became part of his army. He used the very last of his cosmic powers to create his province of land in Nâdar. It was named Khâzra (Beginning). Khâzra was given as home to the Dragons and Abelôn. For this, the Dragons were forever grateful to Abelôn and would forever follow his reign.

As time grew on, The Age of Creation was coming to an end. Avâlar and the other being had been plotting an attack on Abelôn and his Dragons, and of this, Abelôn had predicted. The Titans, created by Avâlar and the third being, fell to Nâdar and set out to attack Khâzra, home of the Dragons. A war that lasted thirteen years would have brought nothing but utter destruction, but the Titans carried with them the seeds of life. The seeds of life would only be birthed after the death of a Titan. All but one of the ten Titans fell, hence, nine new lives were born; Eight of them were what would later become known as the Eight Divinities of Nâdar. There were also the seeds of Odurgor, for he was the mightiest of the Titans, and his seeds would create the mightiest of beings. Though, the beings created by Odurgor were beyond that of normal evil. They were the seeds that would, if all else failed, bring down Abelôn once and for all. They were the seeds of Demons, four of them to be exact. But Abelôn had fled before the Demons could take place in the world. And so, with Abelôn once again out of Avâlar’s sight, the Demons hid deep in the ground, waiting for Abelôn’s return. And as for the Eight Divinities, well they took new ownership of Nâdar, and slowly over the years they would shape and turn the world into their own.

The Age of Creation had ended. The Titans were gone, all except one, who had fused himself as part of the mountain range to wait for another war that would need him. The Dragons had died and passed into the void and Abelôn had vanished, for now. And the Eight Divinities had started work on their provinces across Nâdar, creating new life of Men and forging their vision of the world. The First Age of Nâdar had begun.

(This is a rough idea of the creation story for my world Nâdar. It still needs a lot of polishing and detail, but this is the idea of it)

I have a theory about The Nameless Things and Ungoliant.

When it says in The Silmarillion about the Music of the Ainur and says "Even the discords of Melkor contributed to the glory of this creation", I think that this is where the Nameless Things were born from... and maybe even Ungoliant herself. They were born from the dissonance and discord of the two songs. It would make sense that Melkor didn't create them as "test subjects" as many have theoried because Sauron knew nothing of these monsters. They must've been made before Sauron set foot on Arda. And I think maybe rather than Ungoliant coming from the void, I think maybe she was one of the Nameless Things and the only one to make her way to the surface at that time. But it's just a theory. I'm always trying to find a more detailed explanation of Ungoliant's creation.
