white trans people, please don’t compare your struggles with my own as a black female. yes, there is some overlap, but I swear if I have to see or hear some stupid argument of “my difficulties with cis people is the same as your difficulties with whiteness.” I am going to lose it. that includes:

“queer is just as bad as the n-word.”

“you can’t use queer because you’re asexual and it’s like a white person saying the n word.”

“i get your 400+ years of echoing oppression and racism because this dude was rude to me about my gender.”

I will literally fight anyone who is rude to you, regardless of how you indentify. But don’t come strolling in with this “we ALL have difficulties.” nonsense.

I have a lot of pet peeves but I think the biggest one is when people say things like “oh it’s such a small town, only 35,000 people” like bitch my town has 200 people, you need to pick a new adjective

According to Wikipedia, a small town is 1,000-20,000 people. So although you are correct in stating that 35,000 people is not a small town (it is a large town), you are incorrect in thinking that you live in a town. You live in a village. You are a villager.

Elexus Jionde faces barrage of harassment after tweeting about 9/11 and black history

Jionde’s tweetstorm on black history prompted a largely positive response. However, it also triggered an onslaught of harassment, including racist comments and death threats.

“I’ve received death threats, racist jokes, and a lot of tweets regarding my future children having cancer. That [first] tweet has since gone viral, and without the 40+ tweets accompanying it, there are people in my mentions telling me that I’m a disgrace to my race and country for saying 9/11 only killed white people, when that isn’t what I said at all.”

Jionde believes that her thread being disabled was “no accident,” and she has accused Twitter of deliberately removing the thread.

“I believe Twitter deliberately unconnected the thread to deprive people of context. Some will say that it was some sort of system glitch or whatever, but I personally believe they disabled my thread because someone in the office was offended over the first tweet.”

Twitter outrightly denies this, suggesting that the problem could be the result of a bug.

“We can confirm that no proactive measures were taken to remove specific replies from this thread and are looking into this, in the event that a bug may have impacted it,” Twitter’s head of communications, Kristin Binns, told BuzzFeed News.

Black women need to divest from the sects of the black community, and that includes walking away from being black male identified mules. Based on my observation more and more black women are waking up & walking away. They are prioritizing themselves and their own happiness. There is absolutely no need to limit ourselves to what the black community desires. Move away from being mammy. You’ll only be left broken spiritually, emotionally, and physically.

Black men’s collective disrespect and abuse towards black women is reason enough to stop muling for those who don’t go as hard for you. Black men and male identified black women, who are complacent in the mistreatment of their fellow black women and girls, lay out an ultimatum at your feet. You must choose between your blackness and your womanhood as if the rampant hatred and disregard for black women isn’t due to our black womanhood.

Black women are programed to defend a community who doesn’t love, care, nor respect them. Stop blindly sacrificing yourselves. What’s left of the black “community” is in shambles and there’s no need for the group with the highest chance of upward mobility to go down with the ship.

This is not some swirler manifesto but an overdue wake up call. Pro black can mean putting yourselves first as black women because we are always placed last.

the whole premise of the purge is inherently flawed. it assumes that crime happens because people just want to commit it, when actually most crime is a symptom of societal disenfranchisement.

yeah, maybe some sociopathic white frat boys would go around terrorizing people because they know there won’t be any consequences, but really, how is that any different than normal?
