Iâll do this on my WIP Heirs of Darkness^^
1. Describe the plot in one sentence?
An unwilling vampire and human get trapped together to battle the humans deranged great great great ancestor.
2. Pick one sight, smell, sound, feel and taste to describe the aesthetic for your novel.
Sight - Orbs with swirling stars inside
Sound - The sound of the night
3. Which 3+ songs would make up a playlist for the novel?
I actually have an existing playlist for this particular WIP!! I use it when Iâm writing, click here for the playlist^^
4. Whatâs the time period and location in which the novel takes place?
It takes place in a medieval-esque setting on a fantasy world called Aia.Â
5. Are there any former titles youâve considered but discarded?
I had thought about calling it something like Throne of Fire in the very beginnings of starting out but ended up scrapping the idea.
6. Whatâs the first line of your novel?
The moon shone brightly over a dark forest, wind whistling through the trees. The call of frogs and crickets echoed, the occasional hoot of an owl adding its own song to the sounds of the forest.
Then all at once, there was silence. Small bit by small bit nature ceasing its call along a snaking path through the forest, red hair glinting in filtered gaps of moonlight.
A predator feared by monster and man alike.
7. Whatâs a line of dialogue youâre particularly proud of?
Thereâs a lot left to go with the story, but so far the piece Iâm most proud of is:
âThe people of this town have chained themselves with fear of their own making, you arenât bound by those chains any longer.â
8. Which line from the novel most represents it as a whole?
I donât actually have one yet, Iâm only a quarter of the way through the story at this point.Â
9. Who are your character(s) faceclaims?
They donât have one at this point, I usually prefer to use silhouette images as face claims, that show some features but not all so that appearance can be left up to the imagination.
10. Sort your character(s) into Hogwarts houses.
Ooo this is hard, lets seeâŠ
Slytherin - Gyendal, Lydia, Yvette, Uma
Ravenclaw - Teâijal, Ravenclaw, Ulf
Hufflepuff - Stella, June
Gryffindor - Galahad, Edward, Yemite, Nox
11. Which characterâs name do you like the most?
Teâijal, it sounds cool as heck.
12. Describe each characterâs daily outfit.
Mel - A green vest over a white tanktop, dark brown pants, black leather boots, and a flared black coat with the Ravenfoot coat of arms on the back. She also wears brown leather gloves that come up to her elbow.
Gyendal - Black trousers and a red tunic with gold detailing and a black and gold belt. Dark scarlet red cloak, black leather boots, black leather gloves.
Teâijal - Black and red dress, archery gauntlets, boots.
Galahad - For casual wear charcoal grey trousers and a light grey shirt, when travelling he wears his armour.
Edward - Brown trousers, mossy green shirt for casual, armour when travelling.
13. Do any characters have distinctive birthmarks/scars?
Galahad has the scars from where Teâijal bit and turned him, and one across his left eye
Mel has a little scar under her right shoulder blade from the explosion
Stella has two symmetrical scars in the middle of her back next to each other
14. Which character most fits a character trope?
Edward, the noble and protective night who falls for the girl âcursedâ by an evil warlock (or in this case, losing memories instead of cursed)
15. Which character is the best writer? Worst?
Probably Mel, because the Aveyond series is narrated by her writing. In this story it could also be Gyendal, who loves to study and read and writes his own records and books of spells.
Edward, because he doesnât have the patience to and hates having to sit down and read after all the books about social customs and dancing and dinner placement his tutors made him read.
16. Which character is the best liar? Worst?
Mel would be the best liar out of all of them, followed by Gyendal and finally Lydia. The worst liars would be Stella and Edward.
17. What character swears the most? Least?
Mel would have the widest range of course vocabulary, and would probably swear a bit, but due to being raised with Galahad would have learned quickly how to curb that from being instinctive. And the one to swear the least would be Stella, potentially followed by Galahad.
18. Which character has the best handwriting? Worst?
Gyendal would have the best handwriting from the hundreds of years of study and being in the council, Teâijal coming in close to that. The worst handwriting would probably be Ulf.
19. Which character is most like you? Least like you?
Mel, with the sarcasm and slightly chaotic personality. Least like me would probably be Galahad, Iâm not at all rule oriented and Iâm not an honor/rightousness focused individual the way he is.
20. Which character would you most like to be?
Probably Mel, because her magic is kinda awesome.
